Sample Book containing 19 small pieces of muslins made 1837
by John Bradshaw, Manufacturer, about 1837- John
Bradshaw had previously been employed as manager of
hand-loom weavers and in 1840 was appointed Relieving
Officer for the Western District of Great Bolton. He
commenced business as a manufacturer in 1837, in
Green Street, Little Boltons plus fragment of cotton
vesting and design for spotted muslin. Enlarged
details of patterns for muslins: Plans for loom
healds etc. for the production of various patterns,
spots etc. in muslins: Note regarding number of dents
per inch in grey cloth.
