Subject to vacancy of seats, if any further selection list is drawn and/or spot
counseling is conducted, the same will be notified in the Institute's website
http://www. iitg .ernet.in/acad/AdvtNotificationJuly201 6/ad missions/interviews. html
For this purpose, the candidates are advised to keep on visiting the above
mentioned Institute's website by around 24th to 28th of June 2016.
4.
Selected candidates who appear their qualifying degree examinations after
15.07.2016, shall automatically be disqualified for admission.
5.
Selected candidates whose qualifying degree results are awaited, shall have to
produce their original Pass Certificates and Mark Sheets, latest by 22-08-2016,
failure to which their admissions shall be cancelled.
6.
Candidates who want to withdraw from the programme shall have to intimate
Academic Registrar, IIT Guwahati, by sending a Fax Letter through fax No.
0361-258 2090 OR by sending an e-mail to acad admissioniitq.ernet.in, latest
by 07-07-2016. The fax letter/ e-mail should be accompanied by a copy of the
candidate's electronic money transfer Receipt (as attachment in case of email), without which the withdrawal request shall be considered invalid. The
tter/e-mail should also clearly indicate the Bank details viz., Bank
ranch Address, Account Number, and IFSC code, to which
e amount should be sent.

If the withdrawal request is received by 07-07-2016, a sum of Rs.1,000/- only shall
be deducted from the candidate's admission fee deposit. Otherwise, only
refundable portion of the candidate's admission fee deposit shall be returned.
Any refund shall be sent from IIT Guwahati by around September 30, 2016.
7. The candidates are also to note the following:
a) REGISTRATION OF NEW STUDENTS (INCLUDING COURSE REGISTRATION,
DOCUMENT VERIFICATION ETC.) WILL BE HELD ON JULY 22, 2016
(FRIDAY). If a candidate fails to register on JULY 22, 2016, his/her selection
shall be cancelled forthwith and the seat will be allotted to next eligible
candidate after making necessary adjustments in order of merit. In other
words, because of such a vacancy, merit-order wise a candidate not
currently selected shall be immediately offered admission.
b) The selected candidates are therefore requested to reach the IIT Guwahati
campus, positively by JULY 21, 2016 (Thursday); so as to avoid any
uncertainty.
c)
Also please note that, against vacant seats, candidates will be upgraded
automatically and strictly as per preferences for specializations given by the
candidates in their on-line application forms.
