GOLF! Each year every effort is made to have a better tournament. Not necessarily
in numbers, as the golfing field fills fast, but in the way member firms and golfers
participate. This year golfers were treated to tee prizes and raffle gifts in excess of
$14,000. And more so we were delighted by a record number of sponsors who
generously contributed to our cause for “Careers in Construction” scholarships
In terms of dollars the July 9th tournament netted slightly more than $20,000.
At the Board of Directors meeting held on July 17th, upon being presented with the
financial results, it was determined that $10,000 would be earmarked as seed capital
for the 2008 scholarship fund, and the other $10,000 would be allocated to VCCA’s
“Food, Clothing, Shelter & Health” community contributions campaign for 2007.
Your construction association has made its presence known in Ventura County, and
we want to give as much back to the community as generously as we can. Both
golfers and non-golfer members can be proud for stepping forward and making this
possible through a variety of tourney sponsorships that contributed over and above
the basic fee for golfing at Spanish Hill Country Club (final sponsor list inside).

PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
Experienced Superintendent needed for school modernization project in Santa Ynez. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
implementation of contract documents, schedule, safety and budget requirements. Exceptional time management & computer skills,
