Summary and specifications:
This 1999 Cornish Crabber 24 with beaching legs is an excellent example of these delightful and
attractive cruisers by Cornish Crabbers Ltd, and comes with the larger Yanmar engine. The heavy
displacement and deep cockpit makes her comfortable and safe to sail in all conditions and the
generous sail area of the Bermudan cutter version gives good performance. The moderate draft
makes them ideal for exploring the shallower waters. She is well appointed throughout and
comes with many valuable extras to include full navigation equipment. The vessel has been well
maintained with careful ownership. Although a modern boat, Embleton has a very traditional
look to her. Good sea manners, modern accommodation and a superb reputation make her a very
good choice for families or serious sailors.

Embleton is a well looked after example which has been regularly maintained. She is very
seaworthy and as easily handled by one person or with a crew. She has a large cockpit which can
comfortably accommodate 4 to 5 people. Standing rigging was replaced in 2009 and epoxy
treatment was completed at the same time. Beaching legs add to her flexibility.
BUILD CONSTRUCTION
Hand laid GRP Dark Green Hull. The hull and deck joint is by way of a 'biscuit tin' joint
with plexus / GRP bonding . Twin external solid teak rubbing bands. Laminated plywood
rudder with stainless steel hangings and tiller hood. Wooden tiller. Long keeled with
internal ballast.
Stainless steel mooring cleats and samson post with retracting bow sprit. Strong stainless
steel tabernacle. Two round ports into cabin space. Sliding GRP hatch garage with wooden
wash boards. Top quality deck gear with adjustable sail trimming cars and tracks and
associated jammers.

Accommodation
The interior of the vessel is teak finished wood with green
velour upholstery giving a warm and traditional feel to the
boat. Photo shows forward storage area closed.

main cabin can
convert to a
generous double,
and there is a
pilot berth to
starboard by the
companionway. The forward storage area has a
folding down partition which allows for the
creation of another double berth. Table drops down from deckhead. There is stowage behind and
below the berths.
There are reading lights above the berths and as well as the overhead interior lights (12V)
Facilities
The fully enclosed heads is located to port at the foot of the companionway steps. A Jabsco sea
toilet is fitted. There is also a shelf for toiletries, etc., and hooks for oilies and lifejackets.
