Luminescent coatings
Seramic® Coating Light Luminous coatings can be applied for different purposes. For example as street
marking or for guidance in dark situations. Or as singing in places where no electricity or light sources are
present. For example, recreational markings. Other applications are in public places like railway stations,
theaters, football stadiums and more. In the case of an emergency (fire, smoke-filled rooms, etc.) the
light falls out and people can no longer orient causing panic. The strong initial afterglow effect of the Seramic® Light Coating paint system are very functional and valuable in this case. In addition, the system
loads itself very quickly, which means, that a few minutes, to sunlight or artificial light is sufficient for
more than 6 hours light output

System for use on Asphalt
Climatic conditions:
The application of two-component products may be made only at a relative
humidity lower than 85% and at a temperature of substrate and / or environment higher than 10 ° C, where in the

Apply primer 38-0139:
The 38-0139 seramic Road 1K Primer is a one component solvent-based primer with excellent adhesion to
bitumen surfaces such as asphalt. Seramic Road Primer is applied airless and has a drying time of about 2 hours
before applying 38-0142 seramic Light Coating on.
Apply Topcoat 38-0142 seramic Light Coating:
38-0142 seramic Light Coating is a poly-aspartic 2K / urethane coating. After mixing of the component A + B the
product has a "pot-life" of about 45 minutes. Seramic Lighcoating can be applied by means of 2-component airless
systems, and by means of a traction machines with an opening of max. 700 Microns. Seramic Light Coating should
be applied at a minimum layer thickness of at least 500 Microns.
Spreading antiskid and glass beads:
38-0142 shall, if necessary or desired, immediately after application to be sprinkled with roughness makers and
glass pearls. Anker Stuy offers the specially appointed pearls 38-0200. Glass Mixture GITD.
