Diese Gebrauchsanleitung wendet sich an alle Personen, die
• für das OVERGARMENT verantwortlich sind
• mit dem OVERGARMENT arbeiten.
Sie müssen diese Gebrauchsanleitung
• lesen
• verstehen
• bei allen Tätigkeiten beachten.
Dies ist die Voraussetzung für
• sicheres Arbeiten mit dem OVERGARMENT
• störungsfreie Handhabung.
Führen Sie deshalb diese Gebrauchsanleitung stets mit dem
OVERGARMENT mit. Die Firma BLÜCHER® GmbH übernimmt keine
Haftung für Schäden und Nutzungsausfälle, die sich aus der Nichtbeachtung dieser Gebrauchsanleitung ergeben.

1.3Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das OVERGARMENT ist nur zum bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch im
Rahmen des Verwendungszwecks gemäß Abschnitt 2 geeignet.
VORSICHT
Gefahr für Leib und Leben:
• bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung
• bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch durch nicht ausreichend ausgebildete Personen
• bei Nichteinhaltung der in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung festgelegten Anweisungen.

2. Verwendungszweck
DE
Das OVERGARMENT wird zusammen mit Atemschutzmaske (im weiteren Vollmaske genannt) und Atemschutzfilter, Schutzhandschuhen und
Schutzstiefeln eingesetzt.
Das OVERGARMENT wird angelegt (außerhalb des Gefahrenbereichs),
wenn
• mit einer Gefährdung durch spezifische chemische Kampfstoffe gerechnet werden muss,
oder
• ein Einsatz in einem kontaminierten Gebiet durchzuführen ist.
Das OVERGARMENT schützt gegen alle bekannten hautgängigen bzw.
hautzerstörenden spezifischen chemischen Kampfstoffe.
VORSICHT Das OVERGARMENT darf nicht eingesetzt werden bei
Kontakt mit Säuren und Laugen.
Gebrauchsanleitung der Vollmaske, Atemschutzfilter,
Schutzhandschuhe und Schutzstiefel beachten.
Der Einsatzleiter muss die zu verwendende Vollmaske, den Atemschutzfilter, die Schutzhandschuhe und
Schutzstiefel bestimmen.

4. Aufbau und Funktion
DE
Das einteilige OVERGARMENT ist luft- und wasserdampfdurchlässig. Es
besteht aus einem zweilagigen textilen Stoffverbund.
Die Außenkleidschicht (Oberstoff) ist öl- und wasserabweisend imprägniert. Die Innenkleidschicht (Filterlaminat) besteht aus einem Futterstoff
(hautzugewandte Seite), auf dem eine Aktivkohlekomponente auf Basis
eines sphärischen Adsorbers (Aktivkohlekügelchen) aufgebracht ist.

5. Schutzumfang
Der zweilagige textile Stoffverbund erfüllt hinsichtlich der Beständigkeit und Retention bei der Einwirkung spezifischer chemischer Kampfstoffe die Anforderungen gemäß:
• BWB TL 8415-0283, Ausgabe 3, (05.2003) Leichte ABC-Schutzbekleidung, Abschnitte 2.3.3.4.
und
• Zusatzforderungen gemäß Technische Beschreibung TB - OVERGARMENT, Ausgabe 1, Stand: 04/2003.

6. Gebrauch
VORSICHT

• Vor Gebrauch das OVERGARMENT auf Einsatzfähigkeit prüfen.
• Das OVERGARMENT bietet nur dann den erforderlichen Schutz, wenn das Personal jederzeit
◦◦ den rechtzeitigen und zweckmäßigen Gebrauch
der Schutzausrüstung beherrscht,
◦◦ psychisch und physisch in der Lage ist, Aufträge
unter ABC-Schutz durchzuführen.

Vorsicht
Beim ablegen des kontaminierten OVeRgaRMents
dringend beachten:
• ablegen nur außerhalb des kontaminierten gebietes
und nur im Freien, möglichst jedoch an geschützter,
zugfreier, ggf. überdachter stelle.
• ablegen unter Beachtung der Windrichtung.

6.4Transport / Entsorgung des kontaminierten OVERGARMENTS

6.4.1Transport
Das kontaminierte OVERGARMENT nur in geeigneter Umhüllung
(Kunststoffsack) und ausreichend gekennzeichnet vom Einsatzort zur
Entsorgung transportieren.
VORSICHT Das kontaminierte OVERGARMENT nicht mit ungeschützter Haut oder Unterbekleidung berühren.
6.4.2Entsorgung
Das kontaminierte OVERGARMENT unter Beachtung der entsprechend
geltenden Umweltrichtlinien entsorgen.

7.Pflege und Wartung
7.1Pflege
Nicht kontaminiertes, durch Übungsbetrieb aber stark verschmutztes
OVERGARMENT kann bei Bedarf gewaschen, nicht jedoch chemisch gereinigt werden.
HINWEISDas OVERGARMENT kann bei Anwendung der folgenden
Waschanleitung bis zu sechsmal (6 x) gewaschen werden.
Nach jedem Wasch- und Trockenzyklus ist auf dem blauen
Waschzyklusetikett (in der ABC-Schutzbekleidung unterhalb der rechten Brusttaschenpatte eingenäht) ein Feld
abzuschneiden und eine Prüfung nach Abschnitt 8 durchzuführen.
VORSICHT Nach siebenmaliger (7x) Wäsche darf das OVERGARMENT nur noch als Übungsanzug – ohne Schutzwirkung - verwendet werden.

Außenkleidschicht (Oberstoff) in trockenem Zustand
zum Zwecke der Reaktivierung der öl- und wasserabweisenden Eigenschaften sorgfältig gebügelt werden.

VORSICHT Sichtbare Beschädigungen und Veränderungen des
OVERGARMENTS vermindern die Schutzwirkung.
Schadhafte Teile kennzeichnen und sofort aussondieren.
HINWEISSolange das OVERGARMENT noch originalverpackt
(Siegelrandbeutel) ist, entfällt die wiederkehrende Prüfung.

9. Verpackung / Lagerung
9.1Verpackung
VORSICHT
Das OVERGARMENT darf nur dann wieder verpackt und
eingelagert werden,
• wenn es in sehr gutem Zustand ist,
• wenn es für Ausbildungszwecke verwendet wurde
oder
• bei Einsätzen nicht durch chemische Kampfstoffe
kontaminiert worden ist.
OVERGARMENT säuberlich zusammenlegen und wahlweise in eine
Kunststofffolie oder in einen Kunststoffbeutel luftdicht einschlagen.
HINWEIS
OVERGARMENT nur in völlig trockenem Zustand verpacken und einlagern.
Vor dem Verpacken ist eine Sichtprüfung (Abschnitt 8) des OVERGARMENTS durchzuführen.
Öffnungsdatum des Siegelrandbeutels des OVERGARMENTS auf die
luftdichte Kunststoffverpackung schreiben.
9.2Lagerung
HINWEISDie Lagerung soll in sauberen und trockenen Räumen, frei
von Schadstoffen, geschützt vor direktem Sonnenlicht und
Frost, erfolgen.

1.4Safety information

2. Intended use

The OVERGARMENT is used in conjunction with a respirator mask (referred to hereinafter as “mask”) and breathing filter, protective gloves
and protective boots.
The OVERGARMENT is put on (outside the area affected by the hazard) if
• a risk arising from specific chemical warfare agents must
be anticipated,
or
• if an operation is to be conducted in a contaminated area.
The OVERGARMENT provides protection against all known specific
chemical warfare agents which can be absorbed through the skin or
which harm the skin.
CAUTION
The OVERGARMENT must not be used in contact with
acids and alkalis.
Comply with instructions on mask, breathing filter,
protective gloves and protective boots.
The operational commander must specify the mask,
breathing filter, protective gloves and protective boots to
be used.

4. Construction and operation

The one-piece OVERGARMENT is permeable to air and water vapour.
It is made of a two-layer textile compound.
The outer layer of the garment (shell fabric) is impregnated to provide
it with resistance to oil and water. The inner layer of the garment (filter laminate) has a lining (on the side facing the body) to which an active carbon component based upon a spherical adsorber (active carbon
beads) is applied.

5. Extent of protection
In terms of resistance and retention under exposure to specific chemical warfare agents, the two-layer textile material compound meets the
requirements as per
• BWB TL 8415-0283, Edition 3, (05.2003) Lightweight CBRN protective
clothing, Sections 2.3.3.4
and
• Additional requirements as per Technical Description TB OVERGARMENT, Edition 1, As at: 04/2003.
6. USE
CAUTION
• Check the OVERGARMENT’s suitability for use prior
to use.
• The OVERGARMENT will provide the protection required only if the staff at all times
◦◦ are familiar with the appropriate time and way to
use the protective equipment;
◦◦ have the physical and psychological capacity to
conduct missions using NBC protection.

6.2 Putting on the OVERGARMENT

It is advisable for a second person to assist when the
OVERGARMENT is being put on.

test seal.

Comply with instructions for mask.
2. Pull the hood (2/1) of the overgarment over the head; the rubber on
the hood (2/3) will create a seal with the mask (2/4). Close the zip
fastener completely.
3. Close touch and close strip fastener (2/2).

Check that the hood sits tightly against the mask, adjust
if necessary.

2. Form a crease in the sleeve (3/2).
3. Close the touch and close strip fasteners (3/1).

Check that the sleeves (3) fit closely to the protective
gloves, adjust if necessary. Once the OVeRgaRMent has
been put on, have it checked by a second person to ensure that it fits correctly.

6.3Removing the contaminated OVERGARMENT
CAUTION
EN
The following absolutely must be observed for removal
of the contaminated OVERGARMENT.
• Remove only outside the contaminated area and in
the open air, however in a protected, draught-free,
roofed location if at all possible.
• Due account should be taken of the wind direction
prior to removal.

Avoid contact between unprotected underclothing or the skin and the
outside of the OVERGARMENT, which may possibly still be contaminated.
NOTE
When the contaminated OVERGARMENT is being removed,
the assistance of a second person wearing protective
equipment is required.

6.4Transport / disposal of the contaminated OVERGARMENT
6.4.1Transport
The contaminated OVERGARMENT may be transported from the place
of use for disposal in the appropriate wrapping (plastic bag) and with
sufficient labelling only.
CAUTION
Do not allow the contaminated OVERGARMENT to come
into contact with unprotected skin or underclothing.
6.4.2Disposal
Dispose of the contaminated OVERGARMENT with due consideration for
the relevant applicable environmental guidelines.

7.Routine and corrective maintenance
7.1Routine maintenance
An OVERGARMENT which is not contaminated, but which has been
soiled substantially in the course of exercises, may if necessary be
washed, but not chemically cleaned.
NOTEThe OVERGARMENT may be washed up to six times (6x)
using the following laundry instructions. One section of
the blue washing cycle label (sewn underneath the right
breast pocket section on the NBC protective suit) must be
cut out and a test in accordance with Section 8 must be
carried out after every wash and dry cycle.
CAUTION
Once it has been washed seven times (7x), the OVERGARMENT may be used as a training suit – without any
protective effect – only.
7.1.1Routine maintenance instructions

The OVERGARMENT must not be pierced, e.g. by badges.
• Observe care label sewn in

before washing
• Always wash OVERGARMENT separately

8.Regular inspections

Visual inspection
• After every operation
• After every exercise
• After every care process, in accordance with Section 7.1
Check internal and external layer of suit, for damage in respect of:
• Holes
• Tears
• Areas of wear
CAUTION
NOTE
Visible damage and changes to the OVERGARMENT compromise the protective effect. Label damaged parts and
investigate them immediately.
Provided the OVERGARMENT is still in its original packaging (sides of wrapper sealed), there is no need for any
regular inspection.

9. Packaging / storage
9.1Packaging
CAUTION
The OVERGARMENT may be repacked and placed into
the stores only if:
• it is in very good condition,
• it has been used for training purposes or,
• if it has been used in operations, it has not been
contaminated with chemical warfare agents.
Fold the OVERGARMENT tidily and place it in an airtight plastic sleeve or
plastic bag, as required.
NOTE
Pack OVERGARMENT and place it in store only if it is completely dry.
A visual inspection (Section 8) of the OVERGARMENT must be carried
out before it is packed.
Write the date upon which the sealed wrapper for the OVERGARMENT
was opened on the airtight plastic packaging.
9.2Storage
NOTEGarments should be stored in clean and dry rooms, free of
contaminants, protected against direct sunlight and frost.
