STEWARDSHIP OF PRAYER AND REFLECTION
Considering
Ezekiel’s
prophetic
mission, how lacking in courage our
faith can be! Because Baptism anoints us
to share Jesus’ prophetic mission, we
must sometimes dare to speak God’s
word to a sometimes unreceptive world.
Think of all those counter-cultural
Catholic teachings. How comforting Jesus’ words to Paul: “My
grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in
weakness.” And Paul’s response: “When I am weak, then I am
strong.”
Teniendo en consideración la misión
profética de Ezequiel, ¡cuánto carece
nuestra fe de valentía! Por haber sido
ungidos en el Bautismo para participar
en la misión profética de Jesús debemos
muchas veces atrevernos a anunciar la
palabra de Dios ante un mundo poco
receptivo. Piensa en todas aquellas
enseñanzas católicas que son contraculturales. Cuán
consoladoras son las palabras que Jesús le dirige a Pablo: “Te
basta mi gracia, porque mi poder se manifiesta en la debilidad”.
Y la respuesta de Pablo: “cuando soy más débil, soy más fuerte”.

That we generously use our God-given talents and treasure to do
the work God has placed us here on earth to do.
“As the Lord spoke to me, the spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and I
heard the one who was speaking say to me, ‘Son of man, I am sending
you…’” (Ezekiel 2:2-3)
God asks each of us to do some special work for Him. He gives us
the resources we need to do His work. However, do we listen to
God when He calls? Do we get up on our feet and give our talent
to do the work He asks of us? Remember, God doesn’t call the
equipped, he equips the called.
Que nuestra celebración de la Pascua de Resurrección nos ayude a
ser más agradecidos y más dispuestos a hacer sacrificios para ayudar
a construir el reino de Dios en la tierra.
“Y el Espíritu entró en mí mientras me hablaba y me puso en pie; y oí al que me
hablaba. Entonces me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, yo te envío…’” (Ezequiel 2:2-3)
Dios nos pide a cada uno de nosotros que hagamos algún trabajo
especial para Él. Él nos da los recursos que necesitamos para
realizar Su trabajo. Sin embargo, ¿escuchamos a Dios cuando Él
nos llama? ¿Nos ponemos de pie y ofrecemos nuestro talento para
hacer el trabajo que nos pide? Recuerda, Dios no llama a quien esta
equipado, Él equipa al llamado.
