Ministry
Calendar 2014-2015
revised
Staff: Jonathan Downs
- Minister to Students
Staff: Dakota Harp
- Student Intern
I am a student at McNeese State University
studying Music Entrepreneurship. A few years
ago I was called into ministry and began leading
worship at the McNeese BCM and also on
Sunday mornings for the youth. Now, I am the
youth intern and I teach 6th grade boys Sunday
Morning Bible Study...and am loving every bit of
it! I am looking forward to seeing how God uses
me, and how He will use this student ministry to
further His kingdom!
My life verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give
thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will
of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
I have been married to my wife, Amy, since July 26, 2008. We met at
church, but officially met at Los Pilaras “the best Mexican place ever”.
After five exciting years of marriage, God has blessed us with two little
girls, Sarah Elise Downs born on June 23, 2011 and Katherine Raye
Downs born on January 13, 2013.
In my free time I enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, tennis, soccer, eating
and hanging out with family and students.
Staff: Gale Falgout
- Ministry Assistant
God planted me in Student Ministry
28 years and 11 student ministers
ago. In my spare time I love cruising
and road trips with my husband of
45 years and spending time with my
5 grandchildren, 3 cats and a beagle.
Oh, and my 3 children are great too!
My life verse: Romans 5:8
“...but God shows His love for us
in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.”
My life verse: Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ and
it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me, and the life that I now
live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and
delivered Himself up for me.”
About Us:
Our ministry exists to lead students into a growing
relationship with Jesus Christ by creating
environments where students prioritize their
relationship with Jesus authentically, influence their
friends, walk wisely, live faithfully under God’s
authority and experience personal ministry by
serving others first.
