Brady Wheelock has been named Athlete of the Month for
Boys Volleyball. According to Coach Lynch, “We nominate him
for his team leadership, team camaraderie, and overall love for
the sport. A two-year player he is captain on our team. It’s
almost unheard of for your setter to also lead in hitting percentage for the team. Hes also on numerous occasions offered
tutoring services to any of our athletes that may be struggling
in some areas of school work, not just so many can continue to
play, but so they truly understand the work to better themselves in school. Brady is no doubt an outstanding athlete, but
what truly sets him apart is his wonderful character as a person. We’re proud of Brady and can’t wait to see what his future
will hold!”
He volunteers for the Litchfield Cemetery Association and
the Litchfield Community Christmas Party. Sam's future
plans include going to Columbia University to become a
brain surgeon. Sam would like to thank his parents for all of
their support and the Optimist Club for honoring him with
this award.
