TURNER MEMORIAL BREAKFAST TICKETS
FPC’s 36th annual Turner Memorial Breakfast on
Thursday, February 28, will feature Tommy Bowden,
coach, author, and TV broadcaster. Purchase tickets
($10 each, sold only in advance) at the Reception
Desk on weekdays and in the Loggia and Fellowship
Hall on Sunday. Gym doors open at 6:00am; program
is 7:00–7:40am. Invite friends and students to hear
Coach Bowden’s inspiring message.
TRIP TO OUR NATION’S CAPITAL APRIL 22-25
Join Dr. Gibbons on our spring trip in and around
Washington, D.C. $775 (double) includes airfare,
accommodations at Hyatt Regency-Reston, and all

Coach Chris Littlejohn is retiring
from coaching after 34 years of
service. Chris has been a wonderful
Christian teacher and mentor to
many, many young men in our
church. Former players are invited
to be present as Coach Littlejohn is
honored on Sunday, February 24,
at the Jim Johnson Basketball Supper.

LAST DAYS OF JESUS SEMINAR MARCH 22-23
A Palm Sunday Weekend Seminar, The Last Days
of Jesus: The Greatest Story Never Told, is coming
to First Pres Fellowship Hall on Friday evening,
March 22, and Saturday morning, March 23.
This devotionally rich multimedia presentation will
enrich your Lenten experience by immersing you in
the experience of Passion Week from a first-century,
Near-Eastern, Jewish villager’s perspective. Teacher
Doug Greenwold is the Senior Teaching Fellow of
Preserving Bible Times, where he teaches the Bible
in context and leads annual trips to Israel. Cost is
$20 per adult ($30 at the door); $35 per couple
($50 at the door); $45 per family ($65 at the door).

GRAINS OF GRACE APRIL 19-20
On Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, 1200
FPC members and friends will work in shifts to pack
250,000 meals for children and families in poverty
around the world. Save these dates and plan to join
us. Registration will begin March 10.
CALLING ALL MEN!
Watch D.O.G.S. male mentoring program is coming
to Hollis Academy. Find out how you can make a
difference in the life of a young man in our Hollis
school community by volunteering to help once a
year, once a month, or once a week. Join us for an
informational meeting to learn what’s involved in
becoming a Watch D.O.G. at Hollis Academy.

NEIGHBORHOOD FOCUS FRIDAY NIGHT CLUB
Neighborhood Focus is looking for volunteer groups
to help sponsor a Friday Night Club event at Russell
Memorial Presbyterian Church this Spring. This is an
easy opportunity for Sunday School classes, small
groups, circles, and families to support a worthy
cause and have fun together. Sponsoring groups
provide a meal for approximately 50 persons and
help with games and activities for a specific Friday
night from 6:00–8:00pm. For more information,

WIT & WISDOM MARCH 5
Prepare to be entertained! Wit and Wisdom
will feature Christian comedian Dennis Smith
on Tuesday, March 5, at 11:30am in Fellowship
Hall (lunch will follow). Dennis has entertained in
corporate, civic, church, and show events across the
eastern United States. Please make your reservation

Mattoon Presbyterian Church (415 Hampton
Avenue) invites you to a presentation on the
Underground Railroad on Thursday, February
28, at 6:00pm at the church. Mrs. Sara Looney,
a member of Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church,
regularly presents this topic to historical and
genealogical groups using quilt squares to explain
how the Underground Railroad worked.

of our Casavant pipe organ. Playing their favorite music will be
our own staff, several other local organists, and
former FPC organists Bob Glick and Bill Kutz.
