In your child’s classroom newsletter there are helpful places to go to assist in
learning the topics taught this week. We use IXL Learning and Brainpop to
assist our students. The students have individual accounts for IXL. To access
BrainPop and BrainPop Jr videos you can use the username ‘jaccendel’ and
password ‘brainpop’ so you can view the videos and games.

We want to wish our Pumpkin Show Prince and Princess Candidates Lynze
Kegley and Colton Schmeltz good luck at the Pumpkin Show on September
22nd.
§
Pumpkin Show ride tickets are on sale in Ms Tammy’s office. Tickets are 22
tickets for 20 dollars. Tickets are available while supplies last.
§
At the end of last week we sent home Good News Club papers. Good News
Club will start after Fall Break.
§
A huge thank you to all students who sold laundry soap. We will determine
the winners and announce their names soon. When we have a delivery date
we will announce it on the school website, JCD Parents Facebook page,
Twitter, and JCDE News section of textwire.
§
We will be having a Flu Clinic on October 5th. Papers were sent home
providing information about the Flu Clinic. Forms are due back in the office
on Wednesday. If you have questions you can contact our school nurse, Kara
Huff.
§
The nurse’s office is starting to run low of loaner clothes. If you have
borrowed clothes from the nurse’s office we ask that you please return them.
§
Tyson Activity Center has basketball registration forms available in the
elementary office. This league is for students in grades 1-6.
§
Be on the lookout for forms for boys in grades K-5 for Jac-Cen-Del Boys
Basketball Skills Academy. If you have questions about this program you
should contact Coach Stangland at [email protected] or 812689-4144.
§
This Thursday at 6:30 we will have a meeting for fifth graders and their
parents concerning the 5th grade St. Louis Trip.
