Enter the labyrinth to discover
the unknown, a revelation, an
origin.
F
rom the seemingly voluntary disorder the labyrinth offers
us, LABERÍNTICA shows us movement: from the
exterior to the interior, from the manifest to the invisible, from
multiplicity to the unique.
Marco Flores Marco Flores takes a new step in his career as
a representative of today’s generation of flamenco dancers, a
generation whose trademark - in all probability - lies in freely
expressing its perception of flamenco as something alive,
contemporary and useful to the emotions.
LABERÍNTICA shows the flamenco dancer in search of his
poetry, from his own experience, sculpting the kaleidoscopic
aspect of his dance and the scale of his personality. Here he
is accompanied by four flamenco dancers, who serve as his
mirror, his shadow, and by six musicians who carry his echo,
from Entrance to Exit.

“In “Seguiriya”, Mr. Flores moved with
entrancing deliberation as his florid hands
curved overhead, opening and closing like
starbursts. His rhythmic walks, performed
with great flourish and fierce percussive
climaxes, accentuated his rapport with
the six musicians...”
Gia Kourlas
Marco Flores’
Gallantry
“…with his soleá, he definitely won the
audience over, he achieved what the great
ones have, to make something difficult
seam easy with extreme elegance.”
Roberto D’Armiento
Revista La Flamenca
The New York Times
Fade to Black.
“He magnificently displayed an elegant
and long dance, a scintillating cantiñas...
making his hands turn into surf and his feet
hold back, highlighting the importance of
his feline movements and his expressivity...”
Francisco Sánchez Múgica
Diario de Jerez
“What can be said about Marco Flores?
As elegant as can be. Good taste, subtle,
serene, sober, graceful, poise, rhythm and
a masterful frugality of movements... This
is how people used to dance. No flamenco
dancer today says more with less.”
Estela Zatania

Art and Patience.
“…And the thing is that the artist from Arcos
de la Frontera combines high class virtues
in his dance: he is elegant, he is a virtuoso,
he is contained, he is energetic, he is
fluid... and he is personal..”
