1. Auger Extension Kit
Refer to Figure 1.1
1.1 Remove the plastic spout and factory grain saver door from the
existing auger tube.
Figure 1.1
1.2 Retain all hardware for re-use later in the installation.
1.3 The factory bearing hanger and its hardware should remain fastened to
the existing auger tube.

Refer to Figure 1.2 & 1.3
1.4 Slide the auger Saddle Tube (LANAUGHUR-T1) over the
existing auger tube and temporarily secure with one
LAN3718 carriage bolt and serrated lock nut.
Figure 1.2
Note in figure 1.2 that there are slots for the existing
bearing hanger bolts to fit through on each side.
1.5 Slide the auger Extension Tube (LANAUGHUR-T2) into the
auger saddle tube and align with the access door. Install an
additional eight LAN3718 and serrated lock nuts
along the top rib of auger saddle tube. Tighten all hardware.
1.6 Install the Auger Flighting Extension Weldment
(LANAUGHUR-F) through the auger extension tube and
align with the male hex shaft on the end of the existing
auger. Use the access door on the side for assistance to lift
and align the flighting extension.
Figure 1.3
Timing auger extension: The new flighting should trail the
existing flighting by 90 – 180 degrees.
Note: See Figure 1.3 for an example of flighting trailing by 120
degrees.

Refer to Figure 1.4 & 1.5
1.7 Install the Bearing Hanger (LANAUGHUR-B) inside the auger
extension tube. Note the positioning of the bearing hanger as
shown in Figure 1.4. Secure bearing hanger to tube using four of the
(RED305K) Carriage Bolts & four of the (LAN3718) Lock Nuts. Tighten
all hardware. Support the end of auger flighting extension
weldment to the bearing hanger with Bearing (LANMOU20516GSA)
and Bearing Flanges (LAN52MM3ZP). Install the bearing onto the
outer side of the bearing hanger and secure with three LAN4A16A16
and LAN1616
Figure 1.4
Tighten all hardware.
Tighten both set screws on the bearing lock collar.
1.8 Install Access Cover (LANAUGHUR-C) and secure with four LAN3718 as
shown in figure 1.5.

2. Grain Saver Door Installation

Refer to Figure 2
2. Slide the spout back into place. Measure out 5” and down 1.25” from circled bolt hole and dot a mark (RED LINES). Repeat on opposite
side.
3. Remove the spout and drill 5/8” hole (or slightly larger) at the marked location.
4. Using a blade or tin snips, cut from the center of the factory spout bolt hole to the 5/8” hole you just drilled (Yellow LINE).
Repeat on opposite side. This will allow the black spout to still be able to “pop” off if needed like the factory design.
5. Re-install the spout and its original hardware as removed earlier in step 1. The Bolt Retainers (LANFGCMN) have been provided to assist
with retaining the carriage bolts for ease of re-installation of the plastic spout. Tighten all hardware.
Installation tip: It may be helpful to use a deep socket (with similar diameter as the bolt retainer) in aid as an insertion tool for the retainers.
6. Install the Spring Arms (LANAUG276) and hardware onto grain saver weldment through the drilled hole in the spout. Use the hex nut as a
jam nut behind the spring arm. The bolt should be threaded all the way into the welded pivot nut of the grain saver weldment and
tightened. The spring arm should be vertically straight with the auger tube as shown with the door in the closed position.

Refer to Figure 3
8. Position the Spring Retainer Bands (LANAUG295) around the
auger tube at a distance of 7-1/2” from the pivot point of
spring arm and secure with the hardware.

Hardware:
(2) LAN18A 3/8”-16 x 1.00” Carriage Bolt
(2) LAN1618000 3/8”-16 Nylon Lock Nut
9. Install the Springs (LANH217334) between the spring
retainer bands and spring arms. Adjustment may be
accomplished by sliding the spring retainer band alongside
the auger tube.
