STRONG
Recreation Services,
Managed by the YMCA of Central Ohio.
The Y is a cause-driven organization
that is for youth development, for healthy
living and for social responsibility. That’s
because a strong community can only be
achieved when we invest in our kids, our
health and our neighbors. The Y is for
everyone. Our programs, services and
initiatives: enable kids to realize their
potential, prepare teens for college, offer
ways for families to have fun together,
empower people to be healthier in spirit,
mind and body, prepare people for
employment, welcome and embrace
newcomers and help foster a community
wide service ethic. And that's just the
beginning.

PRESS PLAY
Remember when we were young,
listening to music or watching a
movie and a person had something
very important to show us or tell
us? We usually hit the “pause”
button and paid attention to the
information. If there was a need,
we would respond. When time
permitted we would return and hit
play and continue with our
entertainment.
Press Play is a program that is
designed for adults in our
community that range in age from
their 40’s to late 50’s who pushed
“pause” on their recreational
activities or personal wellness.
Whatever the reasons, career,
family, children, education or just
keeping up with the “Jones’”, it is
now time to hit “play” again. This
program is designed to start you
off at a very basic level then bring
you back, slowly and safely. So you
regain your confidence and prevent
injury to make your “come-back,”
not another setback. Our coaches
will work with you as you begin to
train specifically for your task at
hand and get you in shape to reenter the activity you have chosen
and feel good about your
performance.
Press Play programs will be
scheduled as we all prepare for our
“upcoming recreation seasons”.

everything, but are a simple part of the game on
the field and in life. These programs are designed
for beginner to intermediate level players. Each
