UEA isn’t just an inspiring place to study,
it’s also a great place to live. Just like our
campus, student accommodation at UEA
is designed to help you make the most of
your time here.
UEA is a safe, friendly, comfortable and
fun place to live, and all students are
guaranteed a room on campus in their first
year (subject to conditions). A range of
shops, several bars, a collection of eateries,
the Sportspark, Drama Studio, Library, the
Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and the
LCR live music venue are all within a few
minutes’ walk.

Our accommodation includes some award-winning
architecture. Norfolk and Suffolk Terraces have
been placed in the top 10 best examples of university
architecture in the country by The Architects’ Journal.
We offer specially adapted rooms for wheelchair
users, with the option of other modifications if you
have restricted mobility or need personal support.
UEA’s accommodation buildings also house Senior
Residents who are there to support residents
with any worries or concerns they have about their
living arrangements.

This en suite accommodation is located on
the main University campus in attractive
modern buildings.
Similar rooms grouped in 8 or 12-person flats sharing
a kitchen/diner are based in Britten, Browne, Colman,
Kett, Paston and Victory Houses (pictured left and
below right). Each has its own en suite shower, toilet
and wash basin. There are fully accessible bedrooms
with large wet rooms within 12-person flats in Britten
and Colman Houses.

The University Village, located just
opposite the main University entrance,
offers 713 en suite rooms in a group of
10 buildings and is popular with students
because of its sense of community.
Rooms have a ‘pod’ containing a shower, toilet
and wash basin, and are grouped in four, six or eight
person flats, each with kitchen/diner.

The iconic, Grade II* Listed Ziggurats,
Norfolk and Suffolk Terraces, are arranged
in flats of up to 12 study bedrooms with
their own wash basins. Each flat has shared

kitchen/diner enjoying stunning views
across the Broad.
The pyramid-shaped Ziggurats of Norfolk and
Suffolk Terraces are among the best-known sights
of our campus.

Sharing a room with another student
is a great way to save money.
Twin rooms are arranged with one bed in a large
shared study area and the other in a screened-off
area with a wash basin and wardrobe for use by both
occupants (see the room plan top right).
The extra wide desk in the other half of the room is
also intended to be shared. You can request to share a
room with someone you already know, as long as this
person is also eligible for accommodation. There are
twin rooms available in Norfolk and Suffolk Terraces
sharing bathroom and toilet facilities and a large
kitchen/diner.

top floors of Nelson Court and Constable
Terrace and offer some of the best views
on campus.

These single person rooms, which are located in
a number of our newer residences, come with all
the facilities of an en suite premium room, but have
the addition of a separate sitting room.

B. PREMIER ZIGGURAT FLATS
(8 available)
These single person flats are located in Norfolk Terrace,
with picturesque views over the Broad. The flats have
an entrance hall, a bedroom with large bed, a spacious
shower room, a lounge/diner with futon and a kitchen
area with hob, microwave, fridge and freezer.
C. ONE BEDROOM FLAT
(1 available)
The accommodation for this self-contained single person
flat includes an entrance lobby, a study area, bedroom
with double bed, kitchen/diner, lounge area and a shower
room. The flat is situated at the end of a corridor within
Colman House and has a small balcony.
TWO BEDROOM HOUSE OR FLAT
(28 available)
For two students to share, the houses and flats are
available in Suffolk Walk and the Village. Layouts vary
but all provide two study bedrooms, a bathroom and an
open-plan kitchen and living area.

the main University campus and is solely for
postgraduate use. Crome Court flats are
clean, light and eco-friendly offering more
than enough space for comfortable living.
Each room contains plenty of storage, a single bed,
and a walk-in bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet
and sink. There is a shared kitchen/dining area, which
contains a refrigerator, freezer, oven and microwave,
as well as a large dining table and chairs.
