It was good news to hear Kenny Haas’ cancer is in
remission, congratulations Ken from your Lodge
family. We know it was a long uphill battle for you
and your family. The good Lord above has another plan for you and you
can be sure it is a good one. Our administrator "Mac" just did a stint in
the hospital or I should say he went to the hospital to get a stent installed
so his red stuff will flow through his plumbing better. He is supposed to
take life easy for awhile. Let us hope so. We still have plans that he has
not heard yet. "Mac", from all of us, get better and listen to the plumbing
repairman.
I want to thank Woody, Earl, Joe, Mac, Big Bob and the Blue and Gold
Club for their great fundraising dinners and auction, along with Sean
cooking and a lot of help from Woody's wife Patti and son Justin serving
the food. The auction was great, Ken and Lydia have this friend Tony
that could sell dandelions to a florist shop. Lydia was showing all the
treasures that were sold. I don't remember if we sold Sandi's cake or I ate
it or maybe Sean got there ahead of me. Anyhow, thanks WOTM, and
any people that I may have missed mentioning.
The great dinner that Jack, Joe and Sean put on for the LOOM was
outstanding. With Loya and Beth serving, with Larry Biral pearl diving,
along with others helping with the cleanup, it was a great success.
Thanks to all. If not for the dedicated members, these fundraisers would
not be possible. Walt, thanks for the use of your BBQ grill. Thanks to our
social quarters staff for all their hard work. There is no doubt in my mind
that you guys and gals are the best servers in town. All proceeds from
these events will offset costs for our representatives to go to the Moose
International Convention that the Governor and Administrator are
mandated to attend.
Our new game has changed, you do not have to be present to win. Oh by
the way, congratulations to Joe Rigazio who won the drawing for June.
He said he didn't need a wheelbarrow but it was a very good haul.
Don't forget to get your daily ticket when you are in the social quarters.

It sure was nice to see Fernley Moose Lodge 2468 shining at Lake
Tahoe. We thank you Tahoe for hosting this year’s event, it was
great.
EVERYBODY PLEASE KEEP YOUR CALENDER AND CHECK
IT OFTEN. MANY NEW EVENTS ARE COMING. Softball in
August between the WOTM. and the LOOM. See Woody Jones for
details, sounds like fun.

SICKNESS & DISTRESS:
Remember if you or someone you know in the Lodge is
suffering an illness or if the Defending Circle looses a
Brother, Co-worker or family member, give a call to the
Lodge 575-2468 and notify any Lodge or Chapter officer
or the Administrator or contact the Bugle Editor (980-7191) so that
we can place the information in the Bugle.

FROM THE SENIOR REGENT:
June was a busy month. I had the privilege of reading the Governor’s July letter before it was released
and it is an excellent letter. I don't want to repeat
the same things but I will comment on a couple of things. I was so
excited to hear about Kenny Haas. The advancement of medicine and
the power of prayer can do some awesome stuff. Mac, I hear, is doing better. I can't wait to see for myself. He is always in our prayers
and like the Governor said, there are a lot of things left that he is destined to do. Besides" WHAT WOULD WE DO WITH OUT HIM?"
I want to thank Brandi Navarro for covering my shifts while we had
company. Thank you Brandi, you did an awesome job. I hear that
the fund raiser to send Justin to Europe went very well thanks to our
members. The breakfast on June 13th went very well, thank you
Bonnie for your continuing help to the WOTM. (Can you see a hidden message?) Really Bonnie does so much for everyone. Actually
there are a whole list of members that do so much, I just want to
thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.
The District campout was awesome, we had a lot of member participation. Way to go Fernley! For the dinner on June 26th my daughter
Lisa and her husband Randy were the cooks and I want to thank them
for a job well done. I wasn't able to be there because of a" Too Hot
Session" I had to attend in Grass Valley with our wonderful recorder

The men have challenged the women to a soft
ball game. If accepted, a tentative date for the
game is August 21st, depending on field availability. A BBQ will follow the game. Look
for a sign-up sheet in the social quarters.
The lodge is receiving a donated wii game and
we will begin sign-ups for a wii bowling league. The rules and sign-up
sheet will be available soon, with a tentative starting date being mid to
end of July.

Lydia. I want to thank all those that helped Lisa and Randy have a successful dinner. I wish I could have been there.
We have a Youth Involvement dinner on July 17th to be chaired by Kimberly Dimino, Earl and Bonnie's daughter. The rumor is that it will be
fried chicken. Kimberly being Bonnie's daughter, put two and two together and we know how good Bonnie's fried chicken is. See you there!
The women have been challenged by the men to a softball game. We all
know that we can't let them beat us, so women I need volunteers. Who
will volunteer to be Captain? A sign-up list will be in the Social Quarters. I'm counting on you ladies, let's show them who is boss!
Plans are also in the works for a turkey shoot, a sign-up sheet will be in
the social quarters by June 21st. This is strictly to see if there is enough
interest in this event.

FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR:
Terry Woods
My thanks to all my friends for their concern and their offer of help during my recent hospitalization. It is truly rewarding to know a person has
so many friends in times of need. Thanks to all of you! Also my thanks
to everyone for covering the meeting on the 15th of last month. It was
at just about that time of day when they finished placing the stent in my
plumbing. I understand at that meeting the LOOM challenged the
WOTM to a game of softball. This should be interesting and it is tentatively scheduled for August 21st at the In-Town Park and a barbeque
will follow the game. Entry fee will be $5.00 person which will include
their eats. Everyone signed up will get to play.
Coming to the Atlantis in Reno August 29th and will run thru
September 1st. $10,000.00 first prize. Be among the first 500
members to sign up. Hopefully someone will win enough to pay
for their trip to the 77th Annual Association Convention in Palm
Springs which starts on September 9th!

I would like to point out that the North Lyon County Fire Protection District has a program to provide ambulance service to residents which limits the financial obligation for use of the Fire District’s ambulance service. A modest fee of $65.00 for a household and $50.00 for a single
person. More details may be obtained by calling 575-3310.
Fraternally,
“Mac”

BLUE AND GOLD CLUB
What a great turnout for our catfish dinner on the 12th of last
month. Our thanks to Patti, Justin, Sean, John T., and Cassie.
They brought fish to the tables faster than we could eat it. We
served over 40 people and none went away hungry. The proceeds
of this dinner went into the transportation fund to assist our
LOOM representatives in their expense to the International Convention in Nashville.
Our special thanks to Tony Berrati for handling the auction for us.
He did a great job of auctioneering and our thanks to all who participated. These funds also went to the transportation fund.
Coming up this month on the second Friday, the 9th, we will be
doing beef and chicken fajitas. Please join us for another great
evening.
To our members: Remember the special meeting Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM.
Fraternally,
―Mac”
