Clay and Concerts
SC4’s Clay
and Concerts
program is
engaging local
elementary
school students
in art and
music. Students
are bussed
to campus to
participate in
a hands-on clay workshop and attend one of
the concerts in SC4’s Thursday Noon and Night
Concert Series.
The popular program started in fall 2013. Fifth
graders from five local elementary schools
– Cleveland, Crull, Garfield, Roosevelt and
Woodrow Wilson – are currently participating.
Clay tiles that students created during the first
two years were made into murals that are
displayed in Roosevelt and Studio 1219.
The program is supported by the Community Foundation
of St. Clair County and SC4 Friends of the Arts.
