1945, in Johnstown, son of Frederick
H. and Dorothy (Stiles) Evans. Pre
ceded in death by father, wife of 19
years, the former Mary M. Urgolites;
and an infant brother, John Allen.
Survived by mother, of Johnstown;
sister, Sally Ann Hens, Fitchburg,
Mass.; and niece and nephews: Susan
and Douglas Hens and John Urgolites.
A graduate of Pennsylvania State
University, he was employed by
Johnstown America Corp. Member of
Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania 1507, of
Colver, and the National Arbor Day
Foundation. Friends will be received

City, Ind., as a result of an automo
bile accident. Born Nov. 26, 1968, in
Johnstown, son of Galen Sr. and

Head. Survived by parents, of Johns
town; grandmothers: Helen Furman
chick and Minnie Head; brother,

Also survived by girlfriend, Wendy
Mills. Was a 1986 graduate of Bishop
McCort High School and was a mem
ber of the original Bishop McCort
Hockey Team, and Bishop McCort
Fugues. Was employed by Fort
Wayne (Ind.) Comets. Hockey Team,
and was a former trainer for the
Johnstown Chiefs Hockey Club, the
Knoxville Cherokees, the Zellam See
Hockey Club in Austria, and was a
volunteer assistant equipment mana
ger for the Pittsburgh Penquins. He
was newly associated with the
Milwaukee Admirals. He was an avid
fisherman. Friends received 2 to 9
p.m. Tuesday at The Harris Funeral
Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.

in 1994, she was the secretary for the
Veterans Administration offices in
the Cambria County Courthouse.

land, France and Poland. Promoted
to lieutenant colonel in 1945 and
served as commander of the 355th
Group. Upon returning home, he
held a variety of command and staff
positions and retired from the Air
Force in 1966. A recipient of the Sil
ver Star with two Oak Leaf Clusters,
the Distinguished Flying Cross with
four OLCs, Air Medal, British Distin
guished Flying Cross, French Croix
de Guerre, the Polish Cross of Valor
and Commemorative Medal from
Russia for 50th anniversary of victo
