The interchangeable torch neck system allows the
exchange of the complete torch swanneck manually or
fully automatic for a consumable change or other
welding jobs in a matter of seconds.
ABICOR BINZEL®’s Alignment Jig provides an easy and efficient check of the
geometry of the torch neck outside of the
welding cell or to align the TCP in case
of collisions.

Reliable and accurate – the variable quick-change torch system for automatic welding “VTS”
offers flexible application of torches with various geometries and sizes. Standard points of interface – identical on all VTS modules – guarantee optimum interchangeability
The individual quick-change component design of the torch neck and the cable assembly allows
ease of service for the system while welding efficiently with crash-resistant torch bodies and
accurate TCP installations on robot or automatic equipment.
ABICOR BINZEL®’s Alignment

The use of twin wire welding is steadily growing.
Travel speed of the welding process can be more than doubled by
using two parallel wire electrodes joining in a single weld pool. The
joint geometry stays the same as single wire. The main advantages
of twin wire welding are achieved when applied to components
with material thickness of 2mm - 12mm. The process is ideal for use
in the automotive industry for axles, frames, and exhaust systems,
and in railway car production and vessel welding.
With the ABIROB® Twin 600 W, ABICOR BINZEL® offers an optimized torch design for the twin wire process that was developed in
close cooperation with end users and tested in the industry.

ABICOR BINZEL®’s ATS-Rotor enables the automated changing of up to 5
welding necks (MIG WH, or TIG WH). The robot changes the torch necks in
cycles, according to the job, or even orientated, i.e. after a burn back.
• Unique system for an automatic torch neck
changing.
When all five necks in the carousel have been utilized, the operator must
manually reload the station with refurbished necks. Maintenance will take
place outside the cell, during the operation cycle.

Precise and consistent...
Filler materials such as aluminum and magnesium are in increasing demand in the welding market. Especially
when integrating the hydroforming process in the automatic series production. Due to the softness of these
materials, the welding wires are extremely sensitive to distortion during the automated feeding process.

The extra thin and soft wire electrodes take
increasing effect in thermal joining of lightweight materials in industrial production.

Push-Push system...
Two wire drives are precisely synchronized, mechanically and electronically. This eliminates wire tension
at all points of the system. Both wire drives push the wire, and there is always a sufficient amount of wire
in the cable assembly near master drive to prevent any tension while feeding.

Digitally controlled wire feeding...
The heart of the system is the two high quality four-roll wire drives with digital motor control. The digital
drive motor control guarantees precise, repeatable and flexible wire feed process. The motor control
receives the actual speed data from the digital encoder sensors. The control processor precisely calculates
the actual and programmed wire feed speed and makes the necessary adjustments.
High quality four-roll wire drives...
The high quality four-roll wire drives utilized in the MasterFeed-System transfer relatively high torque to the wire with
the lowest possible pressure.Consequently, there is less wire
deformation caused by rubbing or excessive roll pressure.
Modern welding power sources and lasers require highly
dynamic wire feeding especially during the starting and
stopping process.
Within seconds, the wire is drawn forward without slippage. A preadjusted and reproducible contact pressure prevents time-intensive malfunctions.
Service friendly and easily accessible...
The wire de-reeling system is able to hold all spools from 7kg (aluminum) to 40 kg (aluminum) and is therefore universal and expandable depending on the requirements.
A heating element, located inside the Master-Feed-System cabinet, controls the temperature and maintains
a moisture-free environment for the wire spool. This protects the wire from oxidation and prevents the introduction of moisture into the weld pool. A highly visible warning light signals when the spool is nearly empty.
The ABIROB® APD system utilizes a separate drive for de-reeling the wire
spool. The drive is synchronized with wire feed speed through a balancing
arm which senses wire tension variations. The combination of the two wire
drives provides precision wire feeding not achievable with conventional systems. Easily changeable wire spools, mobile cabinet and quick replacement
of all the system components are only a few of the many convincing advantages of the ABIROB® APD systems.

For flexible integration accepting all international wire spools...
The system wire drives can be used individually for an application with two
additional components:
M-BOX (Media Box) and E-BOX
(Electronic Motor Control Box). For
instance, pay off packs from other manufacturers with 80 kg spools or barreltype spools can be added to the MasterFeeder to form a high quality complete
system.
Thanks to its modular design, the Master
Feeder System allows easy replacement
of all wear parts and system components.
