On Florida’s Historic Coast
Welcome to St. Augustine, a magically
unique place. Experience the old world
charm of North America’s oldest city, while
enjoying the opportunities of a modern city.
St. Augustine was founded in 1565 and
as you walk the streets of this Ancient
City, history comes alive. Old buildings,
cobblestone streets, and lush gardens help
create the majestic landscape to pull you
back in time. Known to many as the
“Old City,” St. Augustine offers centuries
of European history and natural beauty
that is characteristic of the Florida coastline.
A variety of experiences await and there
are enough activities to keep you busy for
weeks. Take some time to explore the areas
outside of the city where even more treasured
experiences await. Find your own piece of
paradise along 42 miles of sandy beaches
or discover one of our many parks where you
can hike, bike, and kayak or just lie back and
absorb the ambiance.
SEE Insider’s Guide is chock full of
valuable information on dining and shopping.
Detailed maps make navigation to any
attraction a breeze. To find the latest and
greatest of things going on, look for NEW
icons in this issue. For cost savings check out
