INTRODUCTION
Thank you for downloading the brochure of
our holiday apartment which is situated on
the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort in
Murcia, Spain. Here you'll find information
on the apartment, the resort with its
spectacular golf course designed by none
other than Jack Nicklaus, and the beautiful
Murcia region. The location of the
apartment, close to the Mediterranean Sea
and the Costa Calida, makes it ideal not
only for golfing breaks but also for family
holidays. We frequently use the apartment
for our own family holidays so we've
furnished and equipped it with the
intention of making it into a real 'home
from home', and we think we've managed
to achieve that.
For those looking to holiday with their
friends or family but who at the same time
want to have their 'own space' and privacy
we can offer the perfect solution. We have
joint rental agreement with the owner of
an identical apartment that's furnished and
equipped to a similar standard and is
located only 100m away. We can also
arrange the rental of this apartment at the
same rates as ours, subject to its
availability. Please feel free to contact us

THE APARTMENT
This fully air-conditioned self-catering
apartment is situated in the Jardines de
Alhama, on the Condado de Alhama Golf
Resort. It is furnished and equipped to the
high standard that you would expect for a
care-free holiday. It has two bedrooms (one
twin & one double) with fitted wardrobes, a
bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a
living/dining room with an open-plan
kitchen. The kitchen comes fully equipped
with a hob, oven, dishwasher, fridgefreezer, washing machine (a clothes
hanger, iron and ironing board are also
provided), Senseo coffee machine, toaster,
kettle, crockery, cutlery and cooking
utensils. The air-conditioning also provides
heating for winter breaks.
There is no need to pack a hair dryer or
hair straighteners as they are also available
for your use.
Included in the rental is WiFi, and for your
entertainment there are LCD TVs with
satellite receivers in the living room and
the master bedroom which receive the
main TV channels and radio stations from
the UK and mainland Europe. The TVs come
complete with built-in DVD players for
which there is a varied selection of movies
that are frequently updated. Also available
is an iPod docking station, a PlayStation
with games and controllers, board games,
and a wide selection of books and novels.
For dining al fresco or simply relaxing and
enjoying the sunshine there is a small 10m²
balcony with a bistro table and chairs to the
front, and a large 45m² private roof terrace
which is equipped with a garden table and
chairs, parasol, sun-loungers, recliners and
a Weber barbecue. From the front of the
terrace you can enjoy uninterrupted views
of the Sierra de Carrascoy and Sierra del
Algarrobo ranges, and from the rear you
can watch the spectacular sunsets over the
Sierra Espuña.
Within the Jardines de Alhama there are 12
swimming pools, the nearest being only
100m from the apartment alongside a
children's play area.
Parking is not an issue as the apartment has
its own private designated car parking
space.
Please note that it is a no smoking
apartment, and pets are not allowed.

THE RESORT
The magnificent golf course on the resort
(above), designed by golfing legend Jack
Nicklaus, opened in 2009 to rave reviews
from amateur and professional golfers. This
exceptional 6884m par 72 course is one of
six in the Murcia region that make up the
Nicklaus Golf Trail, and features changes in
elevation and five lakes making it a
challenge for golfers of all standards.
Restaurant Sofia, Bokao tapas bar and
restaurant, La Cata restaurant, Big G's
Classic 1950s style American diner, the
Funky Monkey Indian tapas bar, El Puerto
de la Cata cocktail bar, Skye Bar ice cream
parlour and coffee shop, El Rincón bakery
and patisserie, the Eden Hair and Beauty
Salon, and a well-stocked Supermarket.
You can book your rounds directly at the
Clubhouse which is situated next to the 1st
tee. Here you can relax on the rooftop
terrace with a drink from the bar and enjoy
the spectacular views of the golf course and
the Sierra Espuña mountain range. The
Clubhouse also houses the Pro Golf Shop
where you can rent buggies, electric
trolleys, manual trolleys and golf clubs.
A ten-minute stroll from the apartment is
the Condado Club bar and sports complex,
which also hosts live entertainment
evenings. It boasts football, basketball,
paddle tennis and full tennis courts, all of
which are floodlit. You can also hire sports
equipment and bikes here, and lessons from
a qualified tennis coach can be arranged. At
the bar they serve meals and tapas, and
there is a games room with arcade games
and a pool table.
Al Kasar (below) is the main commercial
and entertainment centre on the resort,
and is only a five-minute walk from the
apartment. Here you'll find the traditional
Clover Pub which has regular live
entertainment and shows live sports.
Elsewhere in Al Kasar you'll find the

Laundry are also located at the Condado
Club. The gym is fully equipped and offers
daily, weekly and monthly memberships to
suit all lengths of stay.

THE REGION
Murcia and the Costa Calida is one of the
warmest and sunniest regions of Spain with
over 300 sunny days per year, an average
annual temperature of 20°C, and 250km of
shoreline along the Mar Menor and the
Mediterranean Sea.
It is known as a land of contrasts, with
mountainous national parks and wonderful
beaches such as those of La Manga, Puerto
de Mazarron, Bolnuevo (below), Isla Plana
and Calblanque. Simply by driving along the
coast you'll find a host of secluded sandy
coves.
Such is the natural beauty and diversity of
the landscape surrounding the resort that it
is situated between two mountainous
national parks, Carrascoy y El Valle to the
east and Sierra Espuña to the north.
From these mountains those looking for the
more adventurous type of holiday can
participate in many outdoor activities such
as hill walking, mountain biking, quad
biking, kayaking, hang gliding, paragliding
and rock climbing.
In the regional capital city of Murcia the
impressive Catedral de Santa Maria
(above), situated on the Plaza del Cardenal
Belluga, was built between 1394 and 1465
in the Castilian Gothic style. Its tower,
completed in 1792, shows a mixture of
styles. The first two stories were built in
the Renaissance style and the third is
Baroque. The bell pavilion has both Rocco
and Neoclassical influences. The main
facade, built between 1736 and 1754, is
considered a masterpiece of the Spanish
Baroque style.
Other nearby towns and cities that are well
worth visiting are Cartagena with its rich
naval history and Roman Theatre, Lorca,
Alhama de Murcia, Totana, Caravaca de la
Cruz, Aledo, Jumilla, Aguilas, Cehegin, Los
Alcázares and Bullas.

These rates include water, electricity,
bedding, towels and WiFi. In addition to the
rental there is a €65 'meet and greet' and
final cleaning charge per booking (€70 if
you arrive between midnight and 7am).
the apartment for 10 nights in the medium
season the all-inclusive cost would be €615
(i.e., 1 week @ €300 + 3 nights @ €150 +
€65 final cleaning charge + €100 refundable
security deposit).
A refundable security deposit of €100 is
also payable on booking. The security
deposit will be refunded in full within 2
weeks of the end of your holiday if no
breakages or damage is reported by our
property manager. Necessary deductions
from the deposit may be made to pay for
breakages or damage, if applicable.
To confirm your booking a non-refundable
deposit of €100 or £100 per full rental
week is payable, with the balance to be
paid a minimum of 2 weeks before the start
of your holiday. Information on methods of
payment will be given when you make a
booking.
Payment in £ sterling is also possible, the
amount payable will be calculated from the
€:£ exchange rate on the day of booking.
You can arrive and depart on any day of the
week, so for example if you wished to rent
Additional optional services we offer are a
fresh change of bedding and towels during
your stay for €25, and a welcome pack
consisting of bread, butter, jam, eggs,
bacon, cornflakes, milk, tea, orange juice,
water and wine or beer, also for €25.

DIRECTIONS TO THE RESORT
The resort is located just off exit 5 of the
RM23 motorway, midway between the
bustling town of Alhama de Murcia and the
popular seaside resort of Puerto de
Mazarron. Both can be reached by car in
about 15 minutes. The GPS co-ordinates of
RM23 exit 5 are 37°44'40.9"N,
1°22'22.4"W.
The nearest airports to the resort
are Murcia International (opening 2016)
which is a 20-minute drive away, Murcia
San Javier which is 45 minutes
away, Alicante-Elche which is 1 hour away,
and Almeria which is 1 hour 45 minutes
away (all times are approximate).
