underprivileged via campaigns like Raaga Unggal
Nanbenda in 2011. Besides contributing to the
community directly, the station is able to create
awareness among the listeners about the needs of
the underprivileged. Making THR Raaga one station

AANANTHA is one consummate entertainer.
Formerly a rock star, he plays a whole host of
musical instruments and could sing his way into,
and out of, any situation. Or so he claims.
Aanantha still continues to produce singles and
albums here and there and he continues rocking
the airwaves as an announcer on THR Raaga,
hosting Kalakkal Kaalai from 6 to 10 in the
morning with Uthaya. Aanantha is also involved in
stage and film acting, and is a spokesperson for
the Malaysian AIDS Council as well as a Youth
Ambassador for IM4U. This multi-talented
entertainer, despite his hectic schedule is now
learning Hindi, brushing up his salsa dancing skills
and keeping fit through Zumba, which is his
current passion.

RAM is an expert in dressing to the nines. When
he’s free, he performs at functions, emcees shows
and contributes to charities. Not to mention being a
successful entrepreneur who owns several thriving
businesses. We were pleasantly surprised to
discover this chameleon wandering into our studio
some time ago. Today, any free time he’s got left is
spent on hosting the very popular drive time slot on
THR Raaga.

REVATH
UTHAYA, is a karate instructor who got lost in a
radio station and, thankfully, has never tried to
karate his way out! As a host of Kalakkal Kaalai,
he has an extraordinary interest in books,
movies, paranormal phenomena, acting and
singing. This witty dude also holds a black belt in
verbal arts, as he was awarded Popular
Personality at the Raaga Astro Awards 2010.
Uthaya is a Health Ambassador for Malaysia
promoting healthy lifestyles. This entertainer is
also an IT wizard as Microsoft appointed him to
promote coding as a second language.

SURESH’s smile could be heard over the radio,
according to his many admirers. When he
auditioned during our announcer search in 2009,
he stood out from the rest with his obvious talent,
charisma and spontaneitycharmed us into giving
him the weekend slots on the spot. In 2011,
Suresh became the breakfast back-up crew and
not only did he win over the listeners, he also
won the attention of TV viewers by hosting a TV
show. He now goes on-air on THR Raaga from 10
a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
REVATHY is every school kid’s dream teacher:
charitable by nature, an environmentalist by
choice, and hot. She was a primary school teacher
before joining THR Raaga. When she’s not
co-hosting Hyper Maalai with Ram, she enjoys
reading, writing, modelling and floral designing.
She plans to build a Tamil library in Malaysia and is
currently pursuing a master’s degree in Tamil
language. This also makes her every professors
dream student: hungry to learn, eager to share,
and hot. Currently Revathy has ventured into
acting and also has become a movie director.
MAARAN
MAARAN has three solo albums under his belt (as
he likes to remind us all). With an immense
passion for performing arts, he has also produced
and acted in a number of movies in Malaysia and
India. He was also a host for the TV game show
Room 201, and was awarded the Best Tamil Radio
Station Announcer by the Malaysian Indian Artist
Association. Actor, singer, announcer, host –
Maaran is one man that simply could not stop
impressing!
