Danjiri Festival in Osaka
Castle 2014
Approximately 20 Danjiri floats are assembled
at Osaka Castle. In the "Danjiri Experience",
visitors can pull Danjiri floats or play ohayashi
music together with the festival staff. There
will also be stage events including Danjiri drum
performances and dances. Outdoor stalls will
be selling Danjiri goods from each town.

During the festival various historical events are held at Osaka castle
such as the Wadaiko (Japanese
drum) concert, traditional martial
arts show, the show of hawking

Shitennoji Wasso
Shitennoji-Wasso festival is a modern reenactment of
early cultural exchange and trade between Japan and its
Asian neighbors held at Remains of Naniwa-no-Miya
Place. The parade of more than 1,000 people clad in
accurate reproductions of ancient costumes, shouting
"Wasso! Wasso!" is spectacular.
There will be number of exhibitions and stalls of local
food from Japan and Southeast Asia.

100 Terraced Paddy Fields , are
light-up with 3000 candles and

Special Exhibition of Sakai
Cultural Property
This year's autumn exhibition will showcase
precious cultural assets that illustrate Sakai's
history and culture. The exhibition's theme will
be "Sakai, Town of Sen no Rikyu's Birth". In the
inner part of the Shin-an tea house, opened to
the public for free for the first time, visitors will
be able to sit on stools and try maccha green
tea. For the seven days the exhibition runs, a
special free bus service will be running between
exhibition sites.

Shinnosai Festival
This festival originated when drug wholesalers in
Doshomachi created new pills and offered paper tigers
before the altar to pray for the eradication of rampant
cholera in 1834.

Natural culture garden and Japanese garden in
Expo park is the one of the places to must-visit to
for spectacular autumn foliage .More than 10000
trees, 20 kind of them such as maples, ginkos,
taxodium distichums , acer buergerianum and
others , are ablaze with autumnal tints.

Castle Park
Osaka Castle offers beautiful reddened cherry
leaves in the autumn as well as its famous
spring cherry blossoms. In addition, the big
gingko tree in front of the Osaka Castle inner
citadel, presumed to be 300 years old, and the
red maple leaves on the north of the Main
Tower are worth seeing.

Maple Festival
Chosen as one of the "10 beautiful sites" of new
Kawachi Nagano, this place is one of the best for
viewing maple leaves in autumn. A giant 1,000
year-old maple tree is known as the "Sunset
Maple" for its beauty at sunset, and is designated
as a natural monument of the prefecture.

Maple Festival at Aizendo
In the grounds of
Aizendo, there are
rare seven-fivethree maples (one
tree has 7-, 5-, and
3-indent leaves) as
well as common
Japanese maples.
Please enjoy them
when you visit the
temple.
When the red dragonfly
colors the sky in madder
red, the whole mountain
changes its hue to a
brilliant crimson. Maple
trees reluctantly wave
their hands to the passing season. From 8th to
30th, the temple and garden are lit up beautifully at night
time. The solemn atmosphere at day time turn to mysterious and stunning world.

Festival
Ushitakiyama is known for its beautiful scenery of waterfalls and maples, which turn red
in November. The Tahoto pagoda, an important cultural property, is also a must-see of
the area. On 23rd of November, the maple
festival is held. You can enjoy the music
concert , beer, some sweets and shopping
under the trees coloured bright red and

This Japanese garden in Daisen park is
beautifully lit up and opened to the public
for special night time autumn foliage viewing. With number of autumn colored trees

that of daytime. For this special night, the live jazz music is played
and makes your night even more memorable.
