SOUTHAMPTON FUEL INJECTION REPAIR FACILITY
Wärtsilä UK can offer service
and overhaul on all types of fuel
injectors and fuel pumps. From
high speed to low speed diesel,
and engine types such as, Wärtsilä,
Sulzer, Man B&W, Ruston, Paxman,
Mirrilees, Pilstick, Allen, Bergen,
Deutz and Mak.
The original manufacturers of the fuel injection
equipment on these engines are types such
as Woodward (formally Bryce), L’Orange and
Bosch to name but a few. The fuel pumps
and fuel injectors will be overhauled and
repaired in accordance with the original fuel
injection manufacturers’ work instructions and
guidelines.
Wärtsilä UK have invested in state of the
art fuel injection repair and test equipment
which will enable us to provide the service you
would expect from a large OEM. Coupled with
our own product experience and equipment,
Wärtsilä are fully focused and equipped to
cater for the demanding requirements of the
service industry.
Fuel Injectors - The Service
The service Wärtsilä UK can offer is what
you would expect from a large engine
manufacturer, with all repairs carried out
to the manual and service guidelines. Our
service will include a fast and efficient turn
around time, full written report with photos on
completion of work and if requested, old parts
returned. Wärtsilä UK also offer a “certificate
of passport” system after repair, for complete
traceability of each individual unit for the
operational period.
Our service will include replenishment of all
high pressure landings for components such
as nozzles and injector bodies, on our state of
the art diamond lapping machine, which has
the capability of achieving surface flatness of 3
light bands (.000035”).
Test equipment to test and calibrate fuel
injectors to nearest engine conditions, with the
facility to deliver 50cc per cycle of injection.

where opening pressure, leak-back, fuel type,
temperature tested and date are all recorded.
Fuel Pumps - The Service.
Wärtsilä UK can offer complete service, repair
and calibration on all types of fuel pumps from
manufacturers such as Woodward (formally
Bryce), L’Orange and Bosch to name but a
few. Fuel pumps overhauled and repaired by
Wärtsilä UK will be carried out in accordance
with the original fuel injection manufacturers’
guidelines and calibrated to the original
specification. Wärtsilä UK can also offer the
additional service of internal inspection on
items like plunger and barrels, fuel pipes and
fuel galleries using our endoscope and bore
scope.
All fuel pumps sent to Wärtsilä UK will
be overhauled and repaired with the closest
attention to quality of service in a fast and
efficient manner. All work is reported and
photos provided on completion of works.
The fuel pump service will include inspection
and repair of components such as constant
pressure valves, plunger and barrels.
Replenishment of all high pressure landings for
components such as plunger and barrels and
delivery valves.
Wet or pneumatic calibration of fuel pumps
checking plunger condition, delivery quantities
and commencement of injection.

service on all engine fuel injection equipment,
with a fast and efficient turn around time.
