This year’s show had over 130 entrants. Judging
some of the classes was so tough; I had to call in
Glenn Micklos from Performance Machine to act as
my co-judge. The trike class had a record 10 entrants, and for the first time we didn’t have a single
FXR or V-Rod. Touring motorcycles made up the
vast majority of entrants and we had to add a Heritage Softail class. Only a handful of Road Glides
entered this year, but Street Glides and Road Kings
were plentiful. This year we had more vintage en-
trants than ever before. As usual, a number of people forgot to fill out the tech sheet portion of their
entrant form. Custom paint seemed to be the most
popular customizing feature with wheels, exhaust
and seats following closely. If you are attending the
Alaska or Caribbean High Seas Rally, don’t forget
to bring a 5 x 7 photo of your bike and enter the
