DRAUGHT BEERS
ARTISAN BEERS
TRAPPISTE BEERS
Our draught beers are most popular
and highly sought after. So sit back,
Think of Belgium and enjoy!
Around 850 different beers are made in Belgium and 20% of them by monks.
The ancestral abbey beer recipes have been used for artisan beers called “special”
beers. Made by the expert brewers are quite often handed down through
the generations and have some evolution into modern style beers.
Artisan beers are usually high ferentation beers.

Lambic is a very distinctive type of
beer brewed in the Pajottenland region
of Belgium and in Brussels itself. It is
consumed after refermentation which
results in derived beers such as Geuze or
Kriek. Compared to traditional lagers this
lambic beer makes use of spontaneous
fermentation by exposing it to wild yeasts
and bacteria said to be native to the Senne
valley in which Brussels lies. This specific
process will give the beer its distinctive
flavour.
