RACQ has a number of commercial operations that may conflict with certain
categories, so some brands cannot advertise in RACQ Living publications.
These categories include (unless RACQ partners):
• Insurance – home, content, car, pet, travel, caravan + trailer, CTP, boat, body corporate.
• Batteries.
• Window tinting, windscreen repairs and replacements.
• Roadside assistance.
• Car loans, personal and business.
• Personal loans.
• Vehicle inspections.
ADVERTISING
NOTE:
• Car brokerage services.
• Cinemas, entertainment centres/theme parks outside the RACQ network.
• Car hire.
• Caravans/motorhomes.
• Travel agencies, tour operators, travel packages.
• Accommodation where destination packages or flights are included.
• Flights that have a package of accommodation or touring (general branding airline ads are fine).
• Tourism destinations that have a website with packages for accommodation or flights.
• Car safety products that make any claims unless products have first been approved by RACQ.
• Finance or roadside assistance references in car ads (unless it’s RACQ approved).
• Health products that make any health benefit claims unless it has CHC approval.
• No unethical or controversial ads (e.g. sex-related ads, sex shops).
• Lawyers ads are subject to approval depending on nature of content.
