Award-winning British designer Jo Sampson has
joined forces with iconic crystal brand Waterford to
create modern, relevant and exciting new products.
The London, Glacia and Elysian collections
represent the second collaboration between
Sampson and Waterford and heralds the company’s
evolution towards a more contemporary approach
to designing with crystal. Sampson says: “These
collections are not designed to be simply looked
at and admired, but to be lived with daily inspiring
a new relationship with the home environment.”
Working closely with Waterford’s elite craftsmen
in Ireland, Sampson’s distinctive collaborative
approach to design has allowed her to create a
range which combines Waterford’s trademark
impact with a modern aesthetic.

Inspired by London’s City Lights
The London Furniture Collection
Influenced by Technology
The London gifting range was conceived as complementary
accessories to the furniture range which launched in 2012.
Its demographic was primarily male-focused, specifically
corporate gifting and executives.
The geometric design and compact shapes are modern in
design, a sleek square grid adorns a range of objects from
bookends and paperweight, to decanters and glasses.
Jo Sampson’s London Collection for Waterford was
inspired, quite simply, by the London skyline at night. For
this dazzling collection of crystal office and desk accessories,
Sampson chose a simple grid crystal pattern. The result
is clean, contemporised simplicity which has a stunning
interplay with light.

Jo Sampson’s Elysian collection for Waterford is the ultimate
in luxury and elegance for home entertaining. With a distinct
nod to old world opulence whilst embracing a modern
aesthetic, the collection includes stemware, gold tray and
ice bucket which create a focal point in their own right.
The diverse collection invites the curation of a personalised
drinking experience, with interplay between proportion,
weight, size and subtle differences between the clear
and amethyst stemware.
Presenting soft shapes and classic Waterford cutting, the
collection’s stemware and glasses are enhanced with a gold
shadow gap. The effect is amplified with the introduction
of amethyst-cased crystal, which creates rich, proportional
depth and dimension.

Inspired by the purity of the arctic regions, the collection
presents a bold and dramatic range of dressing table
accessories. Working with blocks of refractive optical glass,
the hallmark of the Glacia Collection is flat, polished surfaces
presenting an angular geometric theme. Contemporary
contrasts of gold accents and satin finished white metal
create a luxurious dressing table landscape, where pieces
can either stand alone or together.
