DETERMINE THE
WEIGHT OF YOUR SHIPMENT
Place your shipment on a scale to measure the actual weight of
the package.
Determine the cubic weight of the package in pounds by using
the formula below. All charges are based on a minimum density
of 15 pounds per cubic foot, then round up to the nearest whole
number.
L x W x H (inches) x 15 (cube factor)
1728 (1 cubic foot)
The greater of the 3 weights (Declared, Actual or Cube)
will be the chargeable weight for your package.
If you have a multi-piece shipment, add the greater of each
package’s actual or cubic weight. Once the sum of the total
shipment is determined, then round up to the nearest whole
number.
Minimum Billable Weight on Multiple Piece Shipments
A minimum billable weight of 6 lbs. (3 kg) per piece will apply
when the average weight per piece in a multiple piece shipment
is less than 6lbs. (3kg).
With the shipment weight calculated above you can determine
the rates using the following rate charts.
Add the additional cost of any Extended Area Surcharges and/or
Loomis Express Domestic or International accessorials that may
apply to your shipment.
