MARCH 31– APRIL 2, 2016
Barcelona International Convention Centre
“Bone Collagen Nature Altering the Base for Dental Implants”
Co-sponsored by:
INTERNATIONAL
CONGRESS OF
ORAL IMPLANTOLOGISTS
Mission and Objectives
The goal of the 2016 ICOI WORLD CONGRESS is to provide the attendees with
the advances to rehabilitate patients with missing teeth in a simple way and with
high predictability in every situation. We will start with dental implant solutions
dealing with reduced bone volume and deepening on hard and soft tissue
regeneration, as well as the important aspects of immediate loading or aesthetic
excellence or the peri-implantitis, the major challenge in implant dentistry.
ICOI WORLD CONGRESS XXXI • OCTOBER 3-5, 2014 • TOKYO, JAPAN
Cutting edge technologies will be presented together with the experience of
prestigious speakers who will help the clinician to know the reality of implant
dentistry and the right way to reach large percentages of long-term success.
Upon completion of this Congress attendees will:
✦ Discuss the advances in conventional and digital diagnosis and implant site
development for implant long-term stability
✦ Understand the biology of bone grafts: history and new aspects with
important clinical consequences
✦ Learn the importance and the management of hard and soft tissue
regeneration in atrophic environments
✦ Review the tissue management after tooth extraction before implant
treatment
✦ Discuss the long-term success of immediately loaded implants placed in
different types of bone
✦ Learn about the peri-implantitis: the major challenge in implant dentistry
✦ Discuss aesthetic excellence in implant dentistry
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the ICOI and SCOI, we would like to welcome you to
ICOI World Congress XXXIII and IV International SCOI Congress
which we will celebrate in Barcelona, Spain, from March 31st to
April 2nd 2016.
We regenerate patients’ form, function, esthetics, changing
and improving quality of life, modified personal behaviors and
social interactions. Thanks to the technological advances and
the development of the new techniques there are not limits to
rehabilitating patients with missing teeth. Today, every situation can
be successful, in a simple way and with high predictability. We strongly
believe that the implant team has to work together to provide the
best implant treatment option to every patient. Barcelona is known by
the acronym BCN, and the ICOI’s World Congress will focus on Bone,
Collagen and Nature, the three principles for altering the base for
dental implants to achieve long-term success.
Barcelona gives us a unique setting for this great event, with more
than twenty international speakers, and a magnificent International
Convention Centre located by the sea, with excellent accommodation
facilities. Do not miss this opportunity to learn the keys to success of
dental implants in a single stage as Barcelona.
See you in Barcelona!

You don’t have to be a Main Podium speaker to participate in our World
Congress XXXIII. Why not plan to present a Tabletop and/or Poster
presentation? A “proven training ground” for future and current Main Podium
speakers, the very popular Tabletop and Poster competition will be held in
tandem with our Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday from
7:30 to 8:30 pm. It allows presenters to interact with colleagues in a social,
yet instructive manner. Tabletop and Poster presentations should display a
challenging case in a limited time format, i.e. 5-7 minutes, so that the case
can be repeated as new observers gather. Poster presentations will be placed
(tacked or taped) on boards at the beginning of the congress and will remain
on display throughout the Congress. Poster presenters should be at their
posters to answer inquiries during the Welcome Reception. All presentations
will be judged, with the winners receiving awards and main podium
consideration for future ICOI meetings.
