ABC BOARD SUPPLY is one of the only pro skater
owned companies left that makes skateboards in the
USA. The ABC woodshop makes boards for
Scarecrow, Strike and Acme. Acme started in

ASPHALTPLAYGROUND set out last season to
resurrect the TTC Truck design with enhancements
such as 4140 8mm axles, spherical steel pivots, and
weight reducing hanger cavities. The new design,
called the Split-Fire, was so effective that Gary Fluitt
won the World Championships Slalom on production
trucks. Following up on the success of the rear 107,
Fluitt teamed with Jim Weatherwax to adapt the
design for a faster turning front truck. The new SplitFire DS works with a Randall II base and comes in

My name is Shaun O’Brian from Norman,

It was Southern California in the early 70’s, and Chris
Carmichael lived in the heart of the skateboard and
surf scene. Wanting to share his passion for the
sport, Carmichael set out to make the first
skateboard movie, SPINN’IN WHEELS. With money
received from family and friends, Carmichael bought
his first camera and he and his buddies set out in
‘73 on a shoot that would take 2 years. The film
features a number of skate legends including Mike
Weed, Ty Page, Bruce Logan, and Russ Howell.
Carmichael is there too. He took a lot of risks in the
shoot, especially when filming the high speed
downhill runs. There’s also some great surf footage
from Gerry Lopez, Shaun Tomson and Rabbit
Bartholomew. Carmichael premiered “Spinn’in
Wheels” in ‘75 and traveled the states promoting the
film for the next 2 years. Carmichael and the film
inspired a generation of teens around the country
that helped spark the popularity of skateboarding in
the 70’s, and beyond. With much respect and love
for the sport and his friends, Carmichael re-releases
Spinn’in Wheels, re-mastered on DVD, to inspire

NON-CPSC certified. CPSC Certified helmets have
hard eps foam on the inside of the helmet. The
CPSC rating is technically a bike helmet
certification. CPSC certified helmets fits a little high
on the head and if you fall with this type of helmet
on, it hurts. But, according to the government, it
passes the CPSC certification. This is the only type
of helmet you can legally by in California or Oregon.
For the most part any helmet you buy in California
should have a CPSC sticker on the inside of the
helmet. Imagine if football players wore CPSC
certified helmets, they would all be dead. NonCPSC certified helmets do not have hard eps foam
on the inside, so, it does not pass the CPSC
certification. It has soft foam pads on inside. This is
the type of helmet that most pros wear because the
helmets absorb impact and fit really well.
Unfortunately, manufacturers and skateshops are
not allowed to sell Non-CPSC certified skateboard

Austin Zachrel has been ripping the skate parks all around the
greater Washington DC area for seven years and still going strong!
From Arlington, Virginia to Ocean City, Maryland, Austin has captivated the crowds by his no fear skating style and trade mark front
side airs. Using his creativity, Austin has turned his garage into a
mini-stakepark with ? pipes, vert walls and skating on anything just
lying around. Austin enjoys skating with the “older” skaters, learning new tricks and new styles of skating. You can catch him staking
at his favorite skate park or anything he can jump, grind, or air.
Skating with old pro’s like Curt Kimbel, John Dillon and others;
Austin has learned the true spirit of skateboarding, no fear, big airs,

Kelei Bishop started skating when he was 3 ? years old and has been skating for
a year now. He is a natural talent with doing other athletic activities such as football, baseball and his other love basketball. He has the ability to do many things
most 4 year olds would think are impossible. He likes riding the rails and the halfpipe, making frontside and backside turns, doing tailstalls and halfcabs. Kelei
sometimes falls and his facial expression and body language may appear as if he
is hurt but, many don’t realize that he is more upset for not landing his “trick”
more than anything. He is one of those determined kids that will try a trick over
and over until he gets it! His will and determination will keep him practicing all
night even when the lights go out at the local parks. When asked why he likes to
ride he says, “Because it is fun, I can learn lots of tricks, go lots of places and stay
out late!” His favorite riders are Tony Hawk, Daewon Song, Stevie Williams, Terry
Kennedy, and Nyjah Huston.
People do notice how small he is, and how young but he really is a true skater
at heart. He will show off his latest tricks and people often ask how old he is, and
he will answer, “I’m four years old, ok?” He is often found riding along with the
older kids and learning a great deal from their expertise and energy. That is where
he learned his skills and talents. Big shout-outs to all his homies in Long Beach
and Carson, especially Mike, Manny, Seth, Myna and Merv. Thanks to them, he
wouldn’t be where he is today. Thanks to his sponsors; Termite Skateboards,
Transitions Skate Shop (Carson), and Wakanai. He also wanted to say hi to his
mom, dad and little brother, Buddha.

I first met Lee when he was in his early teens. Even back then, I
could tell his passion for skateboarding ran deep. He’d spend
hours skating street as well as making the 2 hour long transit trek
to Cummer Skatepark in Toronto.
In fact his first skate contest was one that Concrete Wave put
on at Cummer. Fast forward a few years and Lee is really starting
to make some noise in the skateboarding world. He appeared in a
US National TV commercial for Honda and 2006 finishes at Slam
City and the West 49 Canadian Open have him ranked 26th overall in North American Street Skating Contests.
After Lee graduates high school this June, he will be spending
as much time as possible skating the streets in California, BC, Arizona, Florida and anywhere that skating will take him. Lee is sponsored by Duffs Canada, Ultimate Skateboard Distributors flow Lee

Whether you describe him as “modern-retro” or “vintage new school”, 16year old Ethan White’s spontaneous surf-style skateboarding will definitely catch your eye. He began skateboarding around the age of ten – mostly street skating around the neighborhood.
A very charming and charismatic teenager, Ethan’s interest in skateboarding was radically sparked in the spring of 2006 when he saw the
Dogtown documentary. With complete respect for the old school, Ethan
immersed himself in 70’s skateboard history - memorizing the surf-style
moves and skaters from that era. With such emphasis on style, Ethan
does not know nor care about the names of most maneuvers and, like Jay
Adams, skates completely spontaneously - rarely thinking ahead when
riding pools, parks, ditches, slalom, downhill, or sliding.
Ethan’s first trip to California was in September of 2006 when he placed
third in the Junior Men’s Slalom World Championships in Morrow Bay.
That week, Ethan skated with many 1970’s legends including Steve Olson,
David Hackett, and Cliff Colman. Ethan’s sparkling personality, coupled
with his stylish and spontaneous skating, earned him the status of peer
among his advanced-age idols, as well as a sponsorship with Pocket Pistols Skateboards.
When asked how high he can Ollie, Ethan responds “Its 1975 - that
trick won’t be invented for another three years!”
