Well firstly, congratulations on your engagement!
Whether you have plenty of time left or the big day is just
around the corner it is really important that you get exactly
what you want for you and your guests on the special day.
With this in mind, we have put together some important
considerations, and ideas to help you get the right
entertainment package for your day. If you have any

Why Tinman
Being professional means a lot to us. Wowing
your guests starts with a smartly dressed band
even during our set up and sound checking.
We don’t queue up at the bar, or for food, and
we make sure that we are on time! Simple
things, but very important.
Songs for everyone – We select the songs in our
set list to make sure that there is something for
everyone, but also to make sure you don’t
have a night of ‘cheesy’ music. The set list
order is designed to give guests a comfortable
start, but a lively party for everyone to remember.
Experience is key. Tinman is made
up of a team of musicians with a
great deal of experience musically
having worked for Disney, The
National Theatre, Roland and also
recording on several occasions at
the world famous Abbey Road
Studios, London. We have now
played hundreds of weddings and
events, in a wide variety of venues
large and small, and have had our
fair share of challenges including an entire local power cut.
We promise all of our couples that we will play
on regardless.
(in case you were wondering, in this case the
first dance was played acoustically by
candlelight, the first set in the bar area, and
then the entire 2 sets again when the power
returned).

packages for you if there is something specific that you would like in order for us to
make your big day perfect.

Frequently asked questions
Over the past 8 years and hundreds of weddings and events together as a band, we
have compiled some of the questions asked by couples organising their evening, and of
course our answers:
If I book you would you offer background music between your sets?
Yes we can do, but it is worth remembering that there will be plenty of time to fill during
the evening. We always recommend booking a DJ to keep the party going. They will
also be on hand to compare the evening, organise people for the first dance, and take
request from you and your guests.
Can the band play all night?
We would love to, but unfortunately a 5 hour set would be too much to play. The ideal
sets would be a first set of 45 minutes from the first dance to the evening buffet/hog roast
and a longer set of 1hr 15 minutes to give your guests a great show later on, this would
give you approximately 2hrs of music (usually a bit more). We will be flexible with timings
if you need us to be.
Can you play our first dance?
We enjoy learning new songs and we believe that a first dance played by the band
sounds great.
It is not always possible however, so once you have chosen, do let us know and we will
see what we can do.
What if I am limited by budget or space?
We can offer a smaller, 5 piece set up. This may also be necessary where set
up time is limited.
What if I have my own DJ?
On occasion a DJ friend offers to play, and sometimes a venue can include a
DJ. Either way this is absolutely fine, we will work with your DJ regarding timings
and song choices. It may be worth noting that they will need to have their own
equipment but also they will provide disco lighting as part of their package. If
you are about to look for a DJ, we can provide this, the DJ would use the main
PA system, and would include a more extensive lighting show as pictured
below.
Booking the band
If you would like to book the band we will happily reserve your date for a week, where we
would hope to have a chance to meet you and understand what you would like to do,
quoting accordingly.
