The Senenmut Chapter
Currently standing as 22 brothers and 8 pledges the chapter has becoming more involved with school activities
participating in school competitions and school organized events such as Atelier Week. We currently have a team entered
in a mailbox competition the school has put on for our newly renovated Architecture and Planning building. We also
organized a camping weekend last semester that was a great bonding experience for our chapter, as well as, the two Severus
brothers who attended.

This semester we held our second annual Faculty Appreciation Day where students presented slideshows representing the faculty in humorous ways and acknowledging their efforts towards our education. Firm visits have
also expanded our community outreach in the architecture field and soon to be in the planning and artistic fields
as well. The professional committee also organized our chapters 11th White Rose with over 70 attendees from
various chapters and alumni associations.

The social committee organized many movie nights were scheduled giving brothers a chance to relax while
bonding. Another focus has been in theming the chapter meetings, including pajama day and wearing red. We
have also setup more game nights for brothers to bond. Overall the social committee has created more
spontaneous events in the chapter and department that allow for less rigorous correspondence in attendance that
in returns brings more brothers and students to the events.
Publicity
Publicity has been working actively with the other committees for generic poster templates for any upcoming
events. This allows for a quick return time and more advertising of each event. Submittal forms have also been
made up to better communication between publicity chair and other committee heads with event information.

Recruitment
Dodgeball
Hiking
Recruitment has been busy these past two semesters in organizing new and interesting ways to attract attention.
One new way is in the creation of a video between the recruitment and publicity committees that comprises
recruitment events from these past two semesters. Such events include bowling, open chapter meetings, tie dye,
information sessions, dodgeball, ice skating, and hiking. In addition to the first couple weeks of the semester the
committee attempts to start planning events around the incoming freshman, and upperclassmen for the following semester in the weeks following the initial recruitment. This leads to more advertising time for potentials to
get exposed to our chapter.

The fundraising committee hosted another basket raffle last fall semester with the help of local businesses and
has also produced bumper stickers and playing cards for purchase. Henna has been a continued tradition along
throughout the semester. The fundraising committee also put on a Halloween festival last fall with various games
and activities.
Garrett Brown is one of the most sincere
brothers I have met to this date. He has
gone to incredible lengths to ensure that
our fraternity succeeds and we cannot
thank him enough for this. I’m sure I’m not
the first one to say that Garrett will go on
to do exceptional things upon graduating
from the University at Buffalo. I
wholeheartedly believe in his abilities and
am excited to see him succeed in his future.

Eliana Drier is truly incredible, I honestly
don’t know how she was able to handle all
of her positions. At one time she had two,
being our estimator and alumni liaison
along with an R.A. job and studio. She
honestly is the definition of what it means
to be committed to something because she
puts everything she can into her work.
Eliana was in my pledge class and I know
she is a great leader making her success in
the future imminent.

Daniel Kleeschulte is a dedicated member
and has always been advising the fraternity
in a manner that has pushed us to excel as
a whole. Holding multiple positions, he has
shown true growth because of his
responsibilities and has even served on the
executive board as the Worthy Advisor.
This brother is both academically and
socially driven to pursue excellence for
himself and the organization, as he has
been involved in many distinct
contributions to our accomplishments in
recent semesters. Good luck with your
future, and carry that momentum forward!
Written by: Randy Fernando
I’ve known Randy Fernando since we were
freshmen just starting architecture and
never once have I doubted that he is going
to be someone important. Randy’s
ambition, excitement and dreams never
cease to inspire every one of his brothers
on a daily basis. He is always around to
help out, regardless of his own situation.
Not only has he been available
professionally, but he is like a brother away
from home. His energetic personality and
aspiring nature will take him far in life as
he pursues his dreams.
Written by: Ashwini Karve
Ashwini Karve is one of the key examples
of how APX helps individuals grow into
strong, independent leaders. While she’s
always been extremely helpful to those in
need, her involvement with APX allowed
her to openly use her skills of leadership as
both a brother and mentor to those around
her. A perfect mixture of compassion and
determination, Ashwini has developed into
a fantastic leader, brother, and professional.

I have known Julia Ramirez since
freshman year of college. Both before and
after becoming brothers she has always
been an up-beat and personality and
cheerful friend to talk to and rely on. As
a brother she is always willing to help out
and pitch in, and as a friend she is always a
great sounding board and has always been
willing to listen. I will miss catching up
with her in chapter as we graduate and
move forward from college.
Written by: Ross Moretzsky
Ross Moretzsky is one of the first people in Pi Class to
be interested in, and seek out the Senenmut Chapter of
Alpha Rho Chi’s events. Beginning with his enthusiasm
and above and beyond work as a pledge his love and
dedication for APX only grew. Starting our chapter’s
website from scratch, serving one term on E-board as
Superintendent and mentoring Max Warshaw as his big,
Ross has dedicated a lot of his time for the betterment
of the fraternity. His involvement and passion has never
wavered despite a heavy course load, his own show o
n UB’s radio station WRUB, and more recently, a demanding job for the Student Association. Ross has been
a valuable component to the Senenmut Chapter of Alpha
Rho Chi’s growth and success since crossing in the
Spring of 2013.
Written by: Eliana Drier
Cassie Yochum is a dedicated, passionate, and social
brother. In her 3.5 years as an active member of the
Senenmut chapter, Cassie immediately had an impact on
the fraternity with her role as philanthropy chair,
bringing our chapter’s impact on the school and Buffalo
community to new heights. She has shown her
dedication to the growth of our chapter as she has been a
great mentor for her little, Chris Rivera. Cassie is the true
epitome of why we consider our Alpha Rho Chi a family.
Over the course of the last few semesters she has
travelled to nearby chapters to connect with other
brothers, expanding the bonds of brotherhood beyond
the limits of the Senenmut Chapter. With her passion
and commitment I see Cassie doing nothing less than
spectacular in her future plans. Best of luck to you after
graduation.
