About the Conference and CME
The Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants 2012 Primary Care Conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona at the Arizona Grand Resort.
The conference will focus on providing Physician Assistants and other health care practitioners with current information on a variety of primary
care topics.
As part of every ASAPA CME conference we offer the registrants an opportunity to participate in a community service drive. For the 2012 ASAPA
Primary Care Conference we will be doing a new book drive for the organizaton Students from Underserved School Districts of the Phoenix Metro
Area. Registrants are asked to bring a new book to donate.
Physician Assistants: This program is not yet approved for CME Credit. Conference organizers plan to
request 25 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit from the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Total number
of approved credits yet to be determined.
Nurse Practitioners: According to the American Nurse Credentialing Center, you are permitted to earn
and file CE credits for programs accredited by the AAPA. For more information, please visit nursecredentialing.org.

Approximately 245 million visits to PAs are made annually. PAs conduct physical
examinations, make diagnoses and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on
preventive health care, assist in surgery, make rounds in nursing homes and hospitals,
and write prescriptions. PAs prescribe 303 million medications to patients each year
and practice in more than 60 different specialty fields including primary care,
pediatrics, surgery, cardiology, obstetrics, and gynecology, dermatology, and
emergency medicine.
The Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants invites you and your company to
exhibit at our 2012 Primary Care Conference. The conference will be held at the Arizona
Grand Resort in Phoenix, AZ. ASAPA’s conference attracts the most dedicated PAs in the
profession. With over 1,600 Arizona PAs seeing an average of 30 patients per day,
PAs are writing for an estimated 3,700,000 prescriptions per year. Your exhibit will be
seen and discussed by an audience of PAs who will exchange ideas and information
regarding their various practice settings. From your exhibit, they will learn about new
products and materials useful in the management and evaluation of many health care
problems.
