The Fair Ministry is collecting items to give out to the fair
workers at the Cabarrus County Fair in September.
The item being collected in August is Chap Stick & Soap

2016 Deacon Nomination Forms
Be a part of nominating the men you consider worthy of serving Parkwood
Baptist Church as Deacons for a 3-year term starting in 2017. Those that meet the
criteria outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 will be presented to the church for
election. Please pick up your Nomination Forms at the Welcome Desk.
On Sunday April 3rd, Parkwood voted to move forward with our elevator and lobby
expansion project. The construction has begun and is supposed to be completed in
August. The total cost of the project is $225,166. Parkwood voted to pay cash and not borrow
any funds for its completion. The finance team has challenged the congregation to prayerfully
participate in giving to this project, and by doing so will help keep our cash
reserves strong.
Please pray about what amount the Lord would have you give as a one time gift, weekly, or
monthly donation between May and August. When giving please make your check out to
Parkwood Baptist Church and in the memo mark ‘Elevator Project’. If you are giving with cash,
please use a giving envelope and mark accordingly.
