PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
A Priority for Technoparc Montréal
Sustainable development is an integral part of Technoparc Montréal’s (TM) business
development. One of its concrete objectives is to improve access to efficient public
transportation for TM employees in order to progressively reduce the predominant use
of “solo cars”.
BUS SERVICES
No. 72 buses, which link Technoparc Montréal’s Campus
Saint-Laurent to the Côte-Vertu Metro line and to the Fairview
bus terminal, stop every 7 to 20 minutes during rush hour and
at least every 30 minutes during the day.
•Bus #72 has seen one of the greatest increases in traffic
(400 %) of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM)’s
public transportation network between 2006 and 2010.
•During spring 2010, the average number of trips per day
was 1545 compared to 566 during spring 2008.
In april 2012, four express bus lines
are added in the West Island.
GROUP TAXIS
In partnership with the STM, Technoparc Montréal also provides
group taxis during rush hour that link the Technoparc to the
Sunnybrooke train station. To use this service, employees must
reserve a taxi at least one hour in advance at 514-637-4444
and present a valid transportation ticket to the driver.
CAR POOLING
In June 2010, Technoparc Montréal also set up a free car
pooling site for all 5500 employees of resident companies
TRANSPORTATION COMMITEE
Technoparc Montréal’s Transportation Committee ensures
that the expectations of employees are met in the areas of
public and alternative transportation. The Committee is made
up of one representative per resident company. With the
number of employees continuing to rise, bus schedules are
regularly assessed to meet emerging needs
