anny took Cristina to Beaver Creek, Colorado for a relaxing ski
vacation. One evening during their trip, Danny made arrangement for a sleigh ride to the top of the mountain for dinner
at Beano’s Cabin. At one point during the evening, Danny got
down on one knee and asked Cristina to marry him. With tears
in her eyes, Cristina said yes and everyone in the restaurant
applauded.
The décor for the ceremony was very simple with only two arrangements on
the altar. Cristina and Danny wanted their reception site to feel like they were
in Colorado again. To bring that winter feel into the reception décor, they used
silver branches and hanging crystals for their decor. They wanted to create a
very romantic atmosphere with lots of candles with a winter touch. The mood
of the evening continuously changed with the changes in lighting. It was truly
an evening of winter romance.
During the reception, the couple wanted their guests to share in their honeymoon travels. The destination was Australia and New Zealand. The guest
sign in books were two big coffee table books on the Honeymoon Destinations. Next to the books, guests were given a luggage tag with a description of
the city and country that they were to visit on their honeymoon. The city and
country corresponded to the table they were sitting.
Cristina and Danny are very fortunate to have two families who truly get
along and care about each other. They consider this the biggest blessing of
all. Rather than sitting alone at a sweetheart table, a square table of nine was
placed in the center of the room for the bride and groom to sit with their parents and siblings.
The couple decided to have both sets of parents walk them down the aisle.
They felt that their families should have a large role in the ceremony. So Danny
and Cristina were both walked down the aisle by their parents.
On the wedding day, Cristina and Danny had not seen each other till the
doors opened in the sanctuary and Cristina began to walk down the aisle towards Danny. Seeing each other for the first time was truly an overwhelming
experience for the couple. Yet, they had an incredible sense of calm as soon as
they were together at the altar. The beautiful ceremony was followed by their
winter evening of romance and entertainment. All were treated to a fabulous
evening and beautiful memories to share for years to come.
