Wir freuen uns, Sie Anfang Februar 2017 zum Internationalen MRI
Symposium begrüßen zu dürfen. Das 1985 von John Doppman,
Josef Lissner und Alexander Margulis ins Leben gerufene „Internationale MRI Symposium Garmisch“ findet in diesem Jahr bereits zum 17. Mal statt.

We are delighted to welcome you to the International MRI
Symposium in February 2017. John Doppman, Josef Lissner and
Alexander Margulis founded the “International MRI Symposium
Garmisch“ in the year 1985 - this year it will take place for the
17th time.
Das Motto der Veranstaltung in diesem Jahr lautet „Beyond the
image - unprecedented opportunities“. Neben der stetig fortschreitenden Weiterentwicklung etablierter MRT-Techniken rückt
die immer tiefergreifendere Auswertung der Bilddaten noch weiter
in den Fokus. Mit Hilfe vieldimensionaler Analysealgorithmen können wir aus den akquirierten Bildern mehr Information erschließen,
als sie bisher nutzbar waren. Die multiparametrische Evaluation
der verschiedenen Organsysteme ermöglicht eine detailliertere
Einordnung krankhafter Veränderungen und gestattet so eine
frühe und individualisierte Behandlung unserer Patienten.
The motto for the 2017 symposium will be “Beyond the image unprecedented opportunities“. In addition to the ongoing advancements of existing MRI techniques the ever more in-depth
evaluation of a plethora of image features is increasingly in the
focus of interest. Using dedicated multidimensional algorithms an
unprecedented wealth of information can be gathered from the
imaging data. Moreover, the multiparametric evaluation of
organ systems enables a more precise characterisation of
disease processes and the precise tailoring of an early and individualized patient treatment.
Das in langer Tradition gewachsene und bewährte Konzept des
MR-Symposiums in Garmisch mit dem 2-tägigen MRT-Grundkurs
und dem 3-tägigen Internationalen MRI Symposium wird auch
2017 beibehalten und mit einzelnen Neuerungen in Grundkurs
und Symposium bereichert. Übersichtsvorträge von international
anerkannten Experten am Beginn einer jeden Sitzung gefolgt von
fokussierten Vorträgen über die diagnostische Herangehensweise
an einzelne Fragestellungen, spezielle Untersuchungstechniken
und wissenschaftliche Entwicklungen sollen den Radiologen in
Klinik und Praxis wichtige und nützliche Informationen für den
klinischen Alltag vermitteln. Zudem wird es erstmals speziell auf
MTRAs zugeschnittene parallele Veranstaltungen geben.
For “Garmisch 2017”, the traditional structure of a two-day basic
course followed by a three-day International MRI Symposium will
be maintained and enhanced. Keynote lectures by internationally renowned leaders in MRI will be accompanied by focussed
presentations on diagnostic decision-making, special MRI techniques and emerging innovations. The always-interesting filmreading sessions will offer fascinating insights into the diagnostic
approaches of highly skilled interpreters of MRI, while the “Meet
the Expert” sessions will allow for interactive case discussions between presenters and participants. For the first time there will be
dedicated MRI technologist / radiographer sessions parallel to
the symposium.
In den immer mit Spannung erwarteten Filmreading Sessions
können wir anerkannten Experten beim Befunden über die
Schulter schauen, in den Meet the Expert Sessions in kleinen
Gruppen interaktiv schwierige und lehrreiche Fälle diskutieren.
Die gesamte Veranstaltung mit Grundkurs, Meet the Expert
Sessions und Symposium wird durch die Bayerische Landesärztekammer zertifiziert. Aktuelle Informationen zum Kongressprogramm sowie zur Anmeldung können auf der Website

Industriesymposium
In insgesamt sieben separaten, gleichzeitig stattfindenden Sitzungen
können anhand von ausgewählten Fallbeispielen interessante oder
problematische Aspekte der MR-Bildgebung mit ausgewiesenen
Experten auf dem jeweiligen Gebiet diskutiert werden.
Die Anzahl der Teilnehmer pro Sitzung ist begrenzt, die Mindestteilnehmerzahl liegt bei 5 Personen.
These sessions have been included in the program in order to create
an even better connection between clinical research and practical
application of MRI.
In seven parallel sessions, interesting or problematic aspects of
Magnetic Resonance Imaging can be discussed in small groups with
internationally acknowledged experts in the respective areas of MRI:

– Head and Neck Imaging

The number of participants is limited; a minimum number of five participants per session is required.

accredited by the Bavarian Medical Association. Details will be
published in time on www.mr-symposium.org.

Course and congress language
Lectures and discussions will be held in English and German. Grundkurs will be in German only. There will not be any simultaneous translation.
Registration
For a binding registration please use the online registration on
www.mr-symposium.org.
You will receive a confirmation by e-mail. Your personal documents
will be available at the congress office on site.
Please note that registrations can only be accepted by 20.01.2017.
From 21.01.2017 on, registrations have to be made on site (subject to
availability).
Number of participants
We strongly recommend to register as early as possible as the number
of participants is limited. On site registrations are subject to availability.
In case the congress is fully booked, the organizer reserves the right to
