WELLCOME TO IGUALADA
As Mayor of the city of Igualada is for me a great
honour to welcome an event that involves much
more than a sport test. The fact of receiving an
appointment of the Biketrial World Championship
means to become a point of reference, for a few
days, from an sport with catalan roots which today
move thousands of practitioners and supporters
around the world.
That is why I want to thanks the disposition of the
Biketrial International Union at the time of carrying
out this event in Catalonia and more specifically in
Igualada. For a few days, our city will be full of bikes,
sportsmen and all warmth that move a championship
of this dimensions and that fill us with satisfaction.
We welcome and guarantee a warm reception from
all the citizens of Igualada.

IGUALADA
Igualada, capital of the Anoia, is a city of forty
thousand inhabitants, located in the center of
Catalonia, at sixty kilometres from Barcelona.
Founded in the year 1.003, throughout history has
stood out, as an enterprising city, with textile industry
and especially with leather industry as their big
economic engines and stamps of the recent
centuries identity.
It is also, however, a city with a long sporting
tradition. Their hokey clubs, football, basketball,
cycling and motor have added significant
achievements of the recent decades and from this
city has come out sportmen of the first level.
Igualada has the ambition of becoming also a
reference of sport tests and competitions of
international level and, therefore, welcomes events
such as the European Ballon Festival, an
international appointment wich turns into annually in
international reference point of continental balloons.
ORGANISATION
Ocisport will be responsible for the organisation of
the event, with years of experience in the
organisation of sports events such as Olympic
Mountain racing Games, World Cup racing
mountain-bike, running Championships and cups of
Spain, as well as Campionships of ski mountain and
outdoors active sports fairs, among other equally.
It also will feature the collaboration of Igualada Moto
Club, which recently organised an Enduro World
Championship.

REGISTRATIONS AND
INSURANCES
The pilots have to have the licence expedited this year by the Bike Trial Union.
The registration paper has to be send by the delegate or the BNU of the country,
to the BIU office. The last day to enter de pilots will be one month before the
race.
The registration price is 30€ for pilot, and the amount has to be paied by the
delegate to the anfitrion delegate before the first reunion of the jury the same
day of the event.
The organisation will not give accident insurance to the pilots because each pilot
has to have his own insurance.
HOSPITALISATION
The organisator will give the minimal medical services during the competition. If
it was necessary any hospitalisation, it would be given the ambulance service
until the hospital. All the hospital services that are out of the insurance cover
necessary for the athlete, they will be paied by the pilot.

of the BIU, mod.19, and the categories will be:
