From the great outdoors
In 1983 East German Bernd Exner wanted to
climb the Romanian Fagaras Mountains. Alone.
During the winter. He couldn’t find a sleeping
bag that would keep him warm enough to
survive. So he and his wife made one.
Yeti is rooted in the rough outdoors. Since 1983
we have created apparel and sleeping bags for
expeditions and extreme conditions. Therefore
a Yeti is durable, yet light, warm, yet non-constricting, functional, yet fashionable.
Since 2005 Yeti has been Danish owned, but
our goal is still to create the ultimate down
equipment. Ultimate whether you need to stay
warm in the polar desert or keep cool in the
urban jungle – and we continually strive for
breaking new barriers…
Ganz weit draussen
1983 plante der ostdeutsche Bergsteiger Bernd
Exner das rumänische Fagaras Gebirge zu
besteigen. Allein. Mitten im Winter.
Es gab keine Möglichkeit, einen Schlafsack zu
kaufen, der ihn warm genug gehalten hätte,
um nicht zu erfrieren. Also schneiderten er und
seine Frau einen eigenen.
Yeti´s Wurzeln liegen in der rauhesten Natur. Seit 1983 fertigen wir Bekleidung und
Schlafsäcke für Expeditionen und extreme
Wetterbedingungen. Daher sind Yeti Produkte
immer widerstandsfähig, aber leicht. Sehr
warm, aber nicht einengend. Funktional, und
trotzdem modisch.
Seit 2005 gehört Yeti zu einer dänischen Outdoorgruppe, aber an unserem Anspruch, die
ultimative Daunenprodukte zu entwickeln, hat
sich nichts geändert.
Egal ob man es warm in der Eiswüste oder cool
im urbanen Dschungel haben will. Und Wir
sind weiter auf der Suche nach neuen Herausforderungen…
