Dear customer,
Before placing your new refrigerator/freezer into operation please read these operating instructions carefully. They contain important information for
safe use, for installation and for care of the appliance.
Please keep these operating instructions for future reference. Pass them on
to possible new owners of the appliance.
These operating instructions are for use with several technically comparable
models with varying accessories. Please observe the notes which apply to
your model.
Notes which are important for your safety or for the proper functioning of
the appliance are stressed with a warning triangle and/or with signal words
(Warning!, Caution!, Attention!). Please observe the following carefully.
Supplementary information regarding operation and practical applications
of the appliance appear after this symbol.
Tips and notes concerning economical and environmentally sound use of
the appliance are marked with the flower.
The operating instructions contain instructions for the correction of possible malfunctions by the user in the section "What to do if ...". If these
instructions should not be sufficient, our customer service department is
always available to you.

Safety
The safety aspects of our refrigerators/freezers comply with accepted technical standards and the German Appliance Safety Law. Nevertheless, we
consider it our obligation to make you aware of the following safety information:
Intended use
• The refrigerator is intended for use in the home. It is suitable for the cooling, freezing and storing of frozen food, as well as for making ice. If the
appliance is used for purposes other than those intended or used incorrectly, no liability can be accepted by the manufacturer for any damage
that may be caused.
• Alterations or changes to the freezer are not permitted for reasons of
safety.
• If you use the refrigerator in a commercial application or forpurposes
other than the cooling, freezing or frozen storage of foods,please observe all valid legal regulations for your application.
Prior to initial start–up
• Check the refrigerator for transport damage. Under no circumstance
should a damaged appliance be plugged in! In the event of damage, please
contact the vendor.
Refrigerant
The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit
of the appliance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable.
• During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that
none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.
• If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:
– avoid open flames and sources of ignition;
– thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated.
Safety of children
• Packaging (e.g. wraps, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. There is
a risk of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children!
• Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains
plug, cut off the mains cable, break or remove spring or boltcatches, if fitted. By doing this you ensure that children cannot lock themselves in the

fridge when playing (there is risk of suffocation!)or get themselves into
other dangerous situations.
• Often children cannot recognise the hazards present in household
appliances. It is therefore important that you ensure adequate supervision
and never let children play with the appliance!
Daily Operation
• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures.
There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers with flammable materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extinguisher refill cartridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.
• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer compartment. They can
burst when the contents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even
explode! Never store lemonade, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in
the freezer compartment. Exception: high alcohol content spirits can be
stored in the freezer compartment.
• Do not put ice creams or ice cubes in the mouth immediately after removal from the freezer compartment. Very cold ice can freeze to the lips or
tongue and cause injury.
• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands could freeze to the
food.
• Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator/freezer (e.g.
electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.).
• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and unplug
it, or pull the house fuse or switch off the circuit breaker.
• When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do not pull
on the cable.
In case of malfunction
• If the a malfunction occurs on the appliance, please look first in the "What
to do if ..." section of these instructions. If the information given there
does not help, please do not perform any further repairs yourself.
• Refrigerators/freezers may only be repaired by qualified service engineers.
Improper repairs can give rise to significant hazards. If your appliance
needs repairing, please contact your specialist dealer or our Customer Service.

Disposal
Appliance Packaging Information
All materials are environmentally sound! They can be dumped or burned at
an incinerating plant without danger!
About the materials: The plastics can be recycled and are identified as follows:
>PE< for polyethylene, e.g. the outer covering and the bags in the interior.
>PS< for polystyrene foam, e.g. the pads, which are all free of chlorofluorocarbon.
The carton parts are made from recycled paper and should be disposed of
at a waste-paper recycling collection location.
Disposal of old Appliances
For environmental reasons, refrigeration appliances must be disposed of
properly. This applies to your old appliance, and - at the end of its service
life - for your new appliance as well.
Warning! Before disposing of old appliances make them inoperable. Remove plug from mains, sever the power cable, remove or destroy any snap or
latch closures. This eliminates the danger that playing children lock themselves into the appliance (danger of suffocation!) or place themselves into
other life-endangering situations.
Disposal:
• The appliance may not be disposed of with domestic waste or bulky refuse.
• The refrigerant circuit, especially the heat exchanger at the back of the
appliance, may not be damaged.
• The symbol
on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed
over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly,
you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed information
about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your
household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the
product.
Remove transport safeguard
The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport.
• Pull off the adhesive tape on the left and right side of the door.
• Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the
appliance.

Shelf holders
Your appliance is equipped with shelf
retainers that make it possible to
secure the shelves during transportation. To remove them proceed as follows:
Move the shelf retainers in the direction of the arrow, raise the shelf from
the rear and push it forward until it
is freed and remove the retainers.

Installation
Installation Location
The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room.
Energy use is affected by the ambient temperature. The appliance should
therefore
– not be exposed to direct sunlight;
– not be installed next to radiators, cookers or other sources of heat;
– only be installed at a location whose ambient temperature corresponds to
the climate classification, for which the appliance is designed.
The climate classification can be found on the serial plate, which is located
at the left on the inside of the appliance.
The following table shows which ambient temperature is correct for each
climate classification: each climate classification:

If installation next to a source of heat is unavoidable, the following minimum clearances must be maintained at the sides of the appliance:
– for electric cookers 3 cm;
– for oil and coal fired ranges 30 cm.
If these clearances cannot be maintained a heat insulating pad is required
between the cooker and the refrigeration appliance.
If the refrigeration appliance is installed next to another refrigerator or freezer a clearance of 5 cm at the sides is required, in order to prevent the formation of condensation on the outside of the appliance.

Electrical connection
Before initial start-up, refer to the appliance rating plate to ascertain if supply voltage and current values correspond with those of the mains at the
installation location.
e.g.:

The rating plate is inside the appliance on the left.
A correctly installed, earthed socket is required for the electrical supply. The
supply must have a fuse rating of at least 10 Amps.
If the socket is not accessible once the appliance is built in, the electrical
installation must include suitable means of isolating the appliance from the
mains (e.g. fuse, cut-out, current trip or similar with a minimum contact
separation of 3 mm).
Attention: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special
cord available from the manufactured or its service agent.. Please contact
your dealer or our customer service department for repairs.
Prior to Initial Start–Up
• Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial startup (see section: “Cleaning and Care”).

The temperature is adjusted using the „C“ and „E“ buttons. These buttons
are connected to the temperature display.
The temperature display is switched over from the display of the ACTUAL
temperature (Temperature display is illuminated) to the display of the DESIRED temperature (Temperature display flashes) by pressing one of the two
buttons, „C“ or „E“ .
Each time one of the two buttons is pressed again the DESIRED temperature is adjusted by 1 °C. The DESIRED temperature must be reached within 24
hours.
If neither button is pressed, the temperature display automatically switches
back after a short period (approx. 5 sec.) to the display of the ACTUAL temperature.
DESIRED temperature means:
The temperature that has been selected for inside the fridge. The DESIRED
temperature is indicated by flashing numbers.
ACTUAL temperature means:
The temperature display indicates the current temperature inside the fridge.
The ACTUAL temperature is indicated with illuminated numbers.

Temperature display

The temperature display can indicate several pieces of information.
During normal operation, the temperature currently present in the fridge
(ACTUAL temperature) is displayed.
When the temperature is being adjusted a flashing display indicates the
fridge temperature currently set (DESIRED temperature).
Air Filter
Your appliance is equipped with a
carbon filter “AIR FILTER” in the rear
wall of the fridge compartment.
The filter purifies the air from unwanted odours in the fridge and
LONGFRESH compartment meaning that the storage quality will be
further improved.
Note: Always keep the air ventilation flap closed.
Installation of the carbon filter
On delivery the carbon filter is in a plastic bag to maintain it’s duration and characteristics. The filter should be placed behind the flap
before the appliance is turned on.

found in the back of the flap cover. (2)

Important!
During operation, always keep the air ventilation flap closed.
The filter should be handled carefully so fragments do not loosen
from the surface.

Changing the charcoal filter
To maintain the best performance the carbon filter should be changed
every year.

New carbon filters can be purchased from your local dealer.

cover and can be reached by
pulling the cover outwards. (1)
2. The carbon filter is then pulled
out of its slot.
3. The new carbon filter is placed in
the existing slot. Close the flap.

Note: the carbon filter is a consumable accessory and as such is not
covered by the guarantee.

Starting Up - Setting the Temperature

Plug the mains plug into the mains socket.
Press ON/OFF button. The green mains pilot indicator illuminates. The
appliances start.
Press either the „C“ or „E“ button. The temperature display switches over and
the DESIRED temperature currently set flashes on the temperature display.
Set the required temperature by pressing the „C“ or „E“ buttons (see section
"Temperature setting buttons"). The temperature display will immediately
show the changed setting. Each time the button is pressed the temperature is adjusted by 1 °C.
From a food safety point of view +5 °C should be considered sufficiently
cold for storing food in the fridge.
Once the required temperature has been set, after a short period (approx. 5
sec.) the temperature display will change and again indicate the current
ACTUAL temperature inside the fridge. The display will change from flashing
to continuous illumination.
Information! When the setting is changed, the compressor does not start
immediately if automatic defrosting is currently taking place. As the storage temperature within the fridge is reached quickly you can store food
immediately after switching on.
TURBOCOOLMATIC

The TURBOCOOLMATIC function is suited for quick cooling of large quantities of goods in the refrigerator.
The TURBOCOOLMATIC function is switched on by pressing the TURBOCOOLMATIC button. The yellow light illuminates.
The TURBOCOOLMATIC function now provides for intensive cooling. A DESIRED temperature of +3°C is automatically selected. The TURBOCOOLMATIC
function is ended automatically after a period of 6 hours.
The TURBOCOOLMATIC function can be ended manually at any time by
pressing the TURBOCOOLMATIC button again. The yellow light goes out.

Interior Accessories
Storage Shelves
The glass shelf above the fruit and
vegetable compartment should
always remain in position, to ensure
fruit and vegetables stay fresh longer.
The remaining storage shelves can be
adjusted to various heights:
Pull the storage shelf forward until it

can be tipped up or down and removed.
To insert at a different height use the same procedure in reverse.
Adjustment for tall goods:
Remove the front half of the two-part vario glass storage shelf and insert it
at a different level. Space is thus gained for storage of tall goods on the
underlying storage shelf.
Variable Inner Door
The door compartments can be pulled up and removed, and inserted at
other positions as needed.

LONGFRESH 0°C compartment
In the LONGFRESH 0°C compartment the temperature is controlled
automatically. It stays constantly at about 0°C, no adjustment is necessary.
The constant storage temperature of about 0°C and the relative
humidity of between 45 and 90 % provide optimal conditions for the
various kinds of food.
You can therefore store a variety of fresh food in the LONGFRESH 0°C
compartment, where it will last up to 3 times longer with better quality
compared
to
normal
refrigerator
compartments.
This allows you to stock more fresh food. Taste, degree of freshness,
quality and nutritional values (vitamins and minerals) are well preserved. Loss of weight in vegetables and fruit diminishes. Food yields
a higher degree of nutritional value.
The LONGFRESH 0°C compartment is also suitable for defrosting food.
In this case the thawed food can be stored up to two days in the
LONGFRESH 0°C compartment.
Humidity control
Both drawers can be used
according to the desired storage conditions independently
of each other with lower or
higher humidity.
Regulation for each drawer is
separate and is controlled
using the slide valve at the
front of the drawer.
• „Dry“: low air humidity - up to 50 % relative humidity
This humidity level is reached when both sliders are set into this
position
and the ventilation openings are wide open.
• „Humid“: high relative humidity - up to 90%
This humidity level is reached when both sliders are set in this position
and the ventilation openings are closed. Humidity is kept
and can not escape.

Drawer divider
The wire shelves inside the drawers permit that air can circulate
freely and consequently a better
conservation of foods.
The compartment has stops to
prevent the drawers from falling
out when fully extended.
To remove the drawers (e.g. for
cleaning purposes), pull them out
as far as the stops, lift and
extract..
Note: if large quantities of foods
are to be stored in the 0°C compartment, it is possible to remove
the bottom drawer.

Correct storage
The refrigerator compartment is fitted with a fan. This quickly cools
food stuffs and ensures optimal distribution of the temperature
between the fridge and the LONGFRESH 0°C compartment.
The following can be conserved in the refrigeration compartment:
- beverages, preserves, jars, bottles;
- baked goods, prepared foods;
- products with short-term expiration;
- foods which are not suitable for conservation at the temperature of
the LONGFRESH 0°C compartment.
Tips:
• Do not place warm foods or uncovered liquids in the refrigerator.
• Place foods in such a way that air can circulate freely and not place
plastic bags or similar components in contact with the plastic cover grille situated in the fridge compartment.
• Keep butter and cheese in the special compartment to guarantee
their consistency and aroma.
• Foods, and especially salad, must be kept in the refrigeration compartment well covered or packaged in such a way that they do not
dry out and that their flavours and fragrances remain unchanged.
The following are suited for packaging:
– Polyethylene airtight bags and wraps;
– Plastic containers with lids;
– Special plastic covers with elastic;
– aluminium foil.
• High-proof spirits should only be conserved tightly closed and in a
vertical position.
• Do not keep explosive or flammable materials in the refrigerator.
Conserve in the LONGFRESH 0°C compartment all foods which are
suited to it.

Cakes containing cream and other kinds of pastry products can be
stored in the LONGFRESH 0°C compartment for 2 or 3 days.
Important!
Not to be placed in the LONGFRESH 0°C compartment:
• cold sensitive fruit which have to be stored at cellar or room temperature like pineapple, bananas, grapefruit, melons, mango,
papaya, oranges, lemons, kiwi fruit.
• The types of food not mentioned above should be stored in the
refrigerator compartment (e.g. all sorts of cheese, cold cuts, etc.).
The level of air humidity in the drawers depends on the content of
humidity in the stored food, vegetable and fruit and on the frequency of door opening
The LONGFRESH 0°C compartment is also suitable for slow thawing of
food. In this case the thawed food can be stored in the LONGFRESH
0°C compartment for up to two days.
Tips:
• Pay attention to the freshness of the food, especially on the expiry
date. Quality and freshness influence the storage time.
• The whole storage cycle time will depend on the preservation conditions made prior to the final storage in the fridge.
• Food, fruit or vegetables should always be packed or wrapped up
before storage.
• Animal food always store packed and dry.
• Food rich in proteins will go bad quicker. This means seafood will
spoil before fish which in turn will spoil before meat. While storing
food in a 0°C compartment storage time for that kind of food can
be increased by up to three times as well without loss on quality.
• All food stored in a 0°C compartment should be taken out of the
drawers roughly 15-30 min before consumption, particularly fruit
and vegetables to be consumed without any additional cooking
process. Allowing fruit and vegetables to return to room temperature will improve the texture and flavour.

Switching off the appliance
To switch off, press the ON/OFF button for approx. 5 seconds. This will
result in a countdown from "3" to "1" taking place in the temperature
display. On reaching "1" the fridge will switch off. The temperature
display will go off.
Note: The appliance cannot be switched on or off if unplugged, or if
there is no power being supplied to it. Following connection to the
mains power supply, the appliance returns to the same operating state
as before the interruption of main power.
If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period:
1. Remove all refrigerated packages.
2. Switch off the appliance by holding down the ON/OFF button until
the display goes off (see above).
3. Remove the mains plug or switch off or disconnect from the electricity supply.
4. Clean thoroughly (see section “Cleaning and Care”).
5. Leave the doors open to avoid the build up of odours.

The temperature is adjusted using the „J“ and „L“ buttons. These buttons are
connected to the temperature display.
The temperature display is switched over from the display of the ACTUAL
temperature (Temperature display is illuminated) to the display of the DESIRED temperature (Temperature display flashes) by pressing one of the two
buttons, „J“ or „L“).
Each time one of the two buttons is pressed again the DESIRED temperature is adjusted by 1 °C. The DESIRED temperature must be reached within 24
hours.
If neither button is pressed, the temperature display automatically switches
back after a short period (approx. 5 sec.) to the display of the ACTUAL temperature.

DESIRED temperature means:
The temperature that has been selected for inside the freezer. The DESIRED
temperature is indicated by flashing numbers.
ACTUAL temperature means:
The temperature display indicates the current temperature inside the freezer.
The ACTUAL temperature is indicated with illuminated numbers.
Temperature display
The temperature display can indicate several pieces of information.

During normal operation, the temperature currently present in the freezer
(ACTUAL temperature) is displayed.
•
When the temperature is being adjusted a flashing display indicates the
freezer temperature currently set (DESIRED temperature).
Starting Up - Setting the Temperature

Plug the mains plug into the mains socket.
Press ON/OFF button. The green mains pilot indicator illuminates. The alarm
light flashes since the temperature is reached. The buzzer sounds.
Pressing button “P” the buzzer stops.
Press either the „J“ or „L“ button. The temperature display switches over and
the DESIRED temperature currently set flashes on the temperature display.
Set the required temperature by pressing the „J“ or „L“ buttons (see section
"Temperature setting buttons"). The temperature display will immediately
show the changed setting. Each time the button is pressed the temperature is adjusted by 1 °C.
From a food safety point of view -18 °C should be considered sufficiently
cold for storing food in the freezer.
The alarm light,when the set temperature is reached. Press the alarm button to turn off the buzzer.
Ice packs
There are two ice packs in one drawer of the freezer.
In the event of a power failure or malfunction, the ice pack will lengthen
the amount of time it takes for the frozen food to become too warm by
several hours. The ice pack can only fulfil this task optimally if it is placed in
the uppermost drawer, at the front, above the frozen food. You can use the
ice pack for cooling cold bags.

FROSTMATIC

The FROSTMATIC function accelerates the freezing of fresh food and, at the
same time, protects foodstuffs already stored from undesirable warming.
The FROSTMATIC function is switched on by pressing the FROSTMATIC button. The yellow light illuminates.
If the FROSTMATIC function is not ended manually, the appliance switch off
the FROSTMATIC function after 48 hours. The yellow light goes out.
The FROSTMATIC function can be ended manually at any time by pressing
the FROSTMATIC button again. The yellow light goes out.
Alarm reset button
In the event of an abnormal temperature rise inside the freezer (e.g. power
cut) warning light (O) will start to flash and a buzzer will sound.
After the temperature has returned to normal, the warning light (O) will
continue to flash, although the buzzer has stopped.
When the alarm button is pressed, the warmest temperature reached in the
compartment flashes on the indicator.
Switching the Appliance off

To switch off, hold down the ON/OFF button for approx. 5 seconds. This will
result in a countdown from "3" to "1" taking place in the temperature
display. On reaching "1" the fridge will switch off. The temperature display
will go off.
Note:
The appliance cannot be switched on or off if unplugged, or if there is no
power being supplied to it. Following connection to the mains power supply, the appliance returns to the same operating state as before the interruption of main power.
If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period:
Switch off the appliance, holding down the ON/OFF button until the display
goes off (see above).
Remove the mains plug or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse.
Defrost the freezer compartment and clean the appliance thoroughly (see
section: “Cleaning and Maintenance”).
Finally, leave the doors open so as to avoid a build up of odours.

Freezing and storing frozen food
You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself.
Important!

• The temperature in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder
before freezing food.
• Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The freezing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen
within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze food several days in a
row, please observe a maximum capacity of only 2/3 to 3/4 of that on the
rating plate. The quality of the food is best preserved when it is frozen
right through to the core as quickly as possible.
• Allow warm food to cool down before freezing. The warmth will cause
increased ice formation and increase the power consumption.
• Please note the maximum storage times specified by the manufacturer.
• Thawed foods which have not been processed further (cooked into meals)
may not under any circumstances be frozen a second time.
• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures.
There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers with flammable materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extinguisher refill cartridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.
• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer. They can burst when
the contents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even explode!
Never store lemonade, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in the freezer. Exception: high alcohol content spirits can be stored in the freezer.
• All foods must be packed air tight prior to freezing, so that they do not
dry out or lose their flavour, and so that no flavour contamination of
other frozen goods occurs.
Caution! Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands could freeze to the food.
Place the packed food in the drawers. Place food to be frozen in the upper
compartment. Unfrozen food must not touch items already frozen,
otherwise the frozen food could begin to defrost.
Place frozen foods in the drawers sorted by type, as far as possible.

Preparation of Ice Cubes

Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water, place it in the freezer compartment and leave to freeze.
To loosen the frozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tray or hold it under
running water for a few seconds.
Important! Never try to free an ice tray that is frozen to the freezer compartment using pointed or sharp edged objects. Use the ice scraper supplied.
Freezing Calendar
• The symbols on the drawers show
different types of frozen goods.
• The numbers indicate storage times
in months for the appropriate
types of frozen goods.
Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated storage time is valid
depends on the quality of the foods and pre-treating before freezing. The
lower value applies to foods with high fat content.
Defrosting
The fridge defrosts automatically
Defrosting of the fridge compartment is automatic. The water that
forms flows into a recipient on the compressor and evaporates. This
recipient cannot be removed.
Freezer

The freezer compartment, however, will become progrssively covered with
frost. This should be removed with the special plastic scraper provided, whenever the tickness of the frost exceeds 4 mm. During this operation it is not
necessary to switch off the power supply or to remove the foodstuffs.
However when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete
defrosting should be carried out as follows:
Remove the frozen food from the freezer, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a very cool place.
Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug, or remove or unscrew the
safety fuses.
Leave the freezer compartment door open.

Cleaning and Care
For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories,
should be cleaned regularly.

• The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Danger of electrical shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance offand rem

• Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in electrical components, danger of electrical shock! Hot vapours can
lead to the damage of plastic parts.
• The appliance must be dry before it is placed back into service.
Attention!
• Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g.
– lemon juice or the juice from orange peals;
– butyric acid;
– cleansers which contain acetic acid.
Do not allow such substances to come into contact with appliance parts.
• Do not use any abrasive cleansers.
Remove frozen food and the food from the refrigerator. Wrap frozen food
in several layers of newspaper. Store it in a cool place, well covered.

Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm
water. Commercially available dish washing detergents may also be used.
After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry.
Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases energy consumption. For
this reason carefully clean the condenser at the back of the appliance once
a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.
After everything is dry reconnect the appliance to the electricity supply.
The lowest shelf, dividing the cooler compartment from the
LONGFRESH 0°C compartment can be removed for cleaning. To
remove pull out the shelf straight.
The cover plates above the drawers in the 0°C compartment can be
taken out for cleaning. To make sure fully functionality of the
LONGFRESH 0°C compartment the cover must be put back in their
original position after cleaning.
Energy Saving Tips
• Do not install the appliance near cookers, radiators or other sources of
warmth. High ambient temperatures cause longer, more frequent operation of the compressor.
• Ensure sufficient air circulation and exhaust at the appliance base and at
the back wall of the appliance. Never cover air vent openings.
• Do not place warm foods into the appliance. Allow warm foods to cool
first.
• Only leave door open as long as necessary.
• Do not set temperature any colder than necessary.
• Put frozen food in the fridge to defrost. The cold in the frozen food will
then be used to cool the fridge.
• Keep the heat emitting condenser, the metall grille on the rear wall of
your appliance, always clean.

Utilisation
• Cet appareil a été conçu pour être utilisé par des adultes. Veillez à ce que
les enfants n’y touchent pas et ne l’utilisent pas comme un jouet.
• A la réception de l’appareil, déballez-le ou faites-le déballer immédiatement. Vérifez son aspect général. Faites les éventuelles réserves par écrit sur

• Votre appareil est destiné à un usage domestique normal. Ne l’utilisez pas
à des fins commerciales ou industrielles ou pour d’autres buts que celui pour
lequel il a été conçu.

• Ne faites pas fonctionner d’appareils électriques (par exemple : sorbetières électriques, mélangeurs,...) à l’intérieur de l’appareil.
Stockage des denrées dans les réfrigérateurs et
règles d’hygiène
La consommation croissante de plats préparés et d’autres aliments fragiles,
sensibles en particulier au non-respect de la chaîne de froid (1), rend nécessaire une meilleure maîtrise de la température de transport et de stockage
de ces produits.
A la maison, le bon usage du réfrigérateur et le respect de règles rigoureuses contribuent de façon significative et efficace à l’amélioration de la conservation des aliments.
Conservation des aliments/Maîtrise des températures
• Stockez les aliments selon leur nature dans la zone appropriée:
Zone tempérée: Boissons œufs, beurre, sauces industrielles et préparées,
fromages à pâtes cuite, fruits et légumes frais.
Zone fraîche: Produits laitiers, desserts lactés, matières grasses, fromages
frais.
Zone la plus froide: Viandes, volailles, poissons, charcuteries, plats préparé,
salades composées, préparations et pâtisseries à base d’œufs ou de crème,
pâtes fraîches, pâte à tarte, pizza/quiches, produits frais et fromages au lait
cru, légumes prêts à l’empli vendus sous sachet plastique et plus géneéralement,tout produits frais dont la date limite de consommation (DLC) est
associée à une temperature de conservation inférieure ou égale à +4°C.
L’observation des conseils suivantes est de nature à éviter la contamination
croisée et à pévenir une mauvaise conservation des aliments.
• Emaller systématiquement les produits pour éviter que les denrées ne se
contaminent mutuellement.
• Se laver les mains avant de toucher les aliments et plusieurs fois pendant
la préparation du repas si celle-ci implique des maniplations successives
de produits différents, et après, bien sûr, au moment de passer à table
comme les règles d’hygiène l’imposent.
• Ne pas réutiliser des utensiles ayant déjà servi (cuillère en bois, planche à
dècouper sans les avoir bien nettoyés au préalable).
• Attendre le refroidissement complet des préparations avant de les stocker
(ex : soupe).
• Limiter le nombre d’ouvertures de la porte et, en tout état de cause, ne
pas laisser ouverte trop longtemps pour éviter une remontée en température du réfrigérateur.
• Disposer les aliments de telle sorte que l’air puisse circuler librement tout

Il convient de vérifier régulièrement que la température, notamment celle
de la zone la plus froide, est correcte et le cas chéant, d’ajuster le thermostat en conséquence comme indiqué (page “UTILISATION”).
La mesure de la tempérautre dans un zone (sur une clayette, par exemple)
peut se faire au moyen d’un thermomètre placé, dès le départ, dans un récipient rempli d’eau (verre). Pour avoir une représentation fidèle de la réalité,
lisez la température sans manipulation des commandes ni ouvertre de porte.
Respect des règles d’hygiène
• Nettoyez fréquemment l’intérieur du réfrigérateur en utilisant un produit
d’entretien doux sans effet oxydant sur les parties métalliques, puis rincer
avec de l’eau additionnèe de jus de citron, de vinaigre blanc ou avec tout
produit désinfectant adapté au réfrigérateur.
• Retirez les suremballages du commerce avant de placer les aliments dans
le réfrigérateur (par exemple suremballages des packs de yaourts).
• Couvrez les aliments.
• Consultez la notice d’utilisation de l’appareil en toutes circonstances et en
particulier pour les conseils d’entretien.
Installation
• Assurez-vous, après avoir installé l’appareil, que celui-ci ne repose pas sur
le câble d’alimentation.
Important: en cas de dommage du câble d’alimentation, il ne doit être
renplacé que par un professionnel qualifié.
• L’appareil se réchauffe sensiblement au niveau du condenseur et du compresseur. Veillez à ce que l’air circule librement tout autour de l’appareil.
Une ventilation insuffisante entraînerait un mauvais fonctionnement et
des dommages sur l’appareil.
• Suivez les instructions données pour l’installation.
• Après la livraison, attendez 2 heures avant de brancher l’appareil pour que
le circuit frigorifique soit stabilisé.
• Cet appareil est lourd. Faites attention lors de son déplacement.

2.Pendant le transport et l’installation de votre appareil, assurez-vous
qu’aucune partie du circuit n’est endommagée. Si tel est le cas:
• Evitez les flammes vives (briquet) et tout autre allumage (étincelles).
• Aérez la pièce où se trouve l’appareil.
• Si vous vous débarrassez de votre appareil, veillez à ne pas détériorer
les circuits frigorifiques.
• Cet appareil est muni de fermetures magnétiques. S’il remplace un appareil équipé d’une fermeture mécanique, nous vous conseillons de rendre
celle-ci inutilisable avant de vous en débarrasser, ceci afin d’éviter aux
enfants de s’enfermer dans l’appareil et de mettre ainsi leur vie en danger. Veillez également à couper le câble d’alimentation électrique au ras
de l’appareil. Renseignez-vous auprès des services de votre commune pour
la reprise de l’appareil.
En cas d’anomalie de fonctionnement, reportez-vous à la rubrique “EN CAS

Le réglage de la température s’effectue à l’aide des touches „+“
(PLUS CHAUD) et „-“ (PLUS FROID).
Les touches sont en relation avec l’indicateur de température.
• En appuyant sur l’une des deux touches „+“ (PLUS CHAUD) ou „-“
(PLUS FROID) l’indicateur de température passe de l’affichage de la
température ACTUELLE (l'indication de température s'allume) à
l’affichage de la température DÉSIRÉE (l'indication de température
clignote).
• Chaque fois que l’on appuie sur l’une des deux touches la température DÉSIRÉE est modifiée de 1°C.
• Si on n’actionne aucune touche, l’indicateur de température
affiche à nouveau la température ACTUELLE après cinq secondes.
Température DÉSIRÉE:
on peut sélectionner parmi les températures disponibles sur l’indicateur celle que l’on désire obtenir dans l’appareil. Celle-ci est indiquée
par des chiffres clignotants.
Température ACTUELLE:

l’indicateur de température affiche la température qui règne effectivement momentanément à l’intérieur du réfrigérateur. Elle est indiquée par des chiffres lumineux.

L’indicateur de température peut afficher plusieurs informations.
• En fonctionnement normal il affiche la température régnant
momentanément à l’intérieur du réfrigérateur (température
ACTUELLE).
• Pendant le réglage de la température, la température désirée clignote sur l’indicateur de température (température DÉSIRÉE).
• Si le système de contrôle électronique de l’appareil détecte une
anomalie technique qui empêche de mesurer la température
ACTUELLE, un carré apparaîtra sur l’indicateur de température.
L’appareil fonctionne avec un programme de secours jusqu’au
moment où le service après vente aura effectué les vérifications
et/ou réparations nécessaires.
Touche TURBO COOLMATIC
En appuyant sur la touche TURBO COOLMATIC on enclenche la fonction TURBO COOLMATIC, et le voyant jaune s’allume. La fonction
TURBO COOLMATIC permet un refroidissement rapide de quantité
importante d’aliments.
Si l’on appuie de nouveau sur la touche TURBO COOLMATIC on peut
à tout moment mettre fin à la fonction TURBO COOLMATIC. Le
voyant jaune s’éteint. Si la fonction TURBO COOLMATIC n’est pas
interrompue manuellement, le refroidissement rapide est enclenchée
pour une période d’environ 6 heures, avec retour automatique à la
température sélectionnée initialement.
Filtre de l’air
L'appareil est équipé d’un filtre au
charbon "AIR FILTER", placé sur la
paroi postérieure du réfrigérateur.
Le filtre purifie l'air des odeurs
désagréables à l'intérieur du réfrigérateur et du compartiment Longfresh 0°C, en améliorant ainsi
davantage encore la qualité de la conservation.
Note: Le filtre à charbon est un accessoire consommable, il n’est pas
couvert par la garantie.

Installation du filtre à charbon
Au moment de la livraison, le filtre au charbon est placé à l'intérieur
d'une enveloppe en plastique afin d’en garantir la longévité. Le filtre
doit être placé derrière la trappe avant de la mise en service de l’appareil.
1. Tirez le panneau vers l'extérieur (1).
2. Ensuite, placez le filtre au charbon dans la fente sur la partie postérieure du panneau (2).
3. Refermez le panneau.
Important!
Il faut toujours garder fermée la trappe de ventilation de l'air pendant le fonctionnement.
Le filtre doit être manié avec précaution, de manière à ce qu’aucun
fragment ne puisse se détacher de sa surface.

Remplacement du filtre au charbon
Pour obtenir des performances optimales,
le filtre au charbon devrait être remplacé
une fois par an. Vous pourrez vous le procurer auprès de votre magasin vendeur.
1. Le filtre est placé derrière le panneau et
on peut y accéder en tirant le panneau
vers l'extérieur (1).
2. Sortez le filtre au charbon à changer de
son logement (2).
3. Placez dans la fente le nouveau filtre à
charbon (2). Fermez la trappe.

Avant la mise en service
Votre appareil étant destiné au stockage des aliments, prenez la précaution de nettoyer l’intérieur ainsi que les accessoires avec de l’eau
tiède et un savon inodore (produit utilisé pour la vaisselle) avant
toute utilisation. Rincez et séchez soigneusement.
Important!
Avant de brancher et régler votre appareil, laissez-le environ 2
heures au repos, en position verticale, ou pendant 4 heures s’il a été
transporté couché.

Mise en service et réglage de la
température
Attention! Ne faites fonctionner l’appareil que lorsqu’il est installé!
1.
Branchez l’appareil.
2. Appuyez sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET. Le voyant vert s’allume.
3. Appuyez sur une des deux touches «+» (PLUS CHAUD) ou «-» (PLUS
FROID). L’indicateur de température change d’affichage et indique
par un clignotement la température DÉSIRÉE momentanément
réglée.
4. Réglez la température désirée (consultez le paragraphe “Touches de
réglage de la température). L’affichage "+3" correspond à la position
la plus froide. A chaque actionnement de la touche, la température
est modifiée de 1°C.
Plage de température réglable: +3°C à +8°C
Si vous ne modifiez pas la température lors de la mise en service de
l’appareil l’indicateur de température se place automatiquement sur
la position "+5".
Comme la température de stockage dans le réfrigérateur est rapidement atteinte, vous pouvez placer des denrées à refroidir directement après la mise en service.
La température à l’intérieur de l’appareil est fonction de plusieurs facteurs, tels que la température ambiante, la quantité de
denrées stockées, la fréquence d’ouverture de la porte, etc...
Si les touches ne sont plus actionnées après avoir modifié le réglage
de la température, l’indicateur de température affiche après un bref
délai (environ 5 secondes) à nouveau la température régnant
momentanément dans l’appareil (température ACTUELLE). L’indicateur de température passe d’un affichage clignotant à un affichage
permanent.
Si l'évaporateur du compartiment réfrigérateur (paroi du fond de
l’appareil) se couvre anormalement de givre (appareil trop chargé,
température ambiante élevée, dispositif de réglage de température sur une position basse, ouvertures fréquentes de la porte),
réglez le dispositif de réglage de température sur une position
supérieure jusqu'à obtenir de nouveau des périodes d'arrêt du
compresseur. En effet, pour que le dégivrage du compartiment
réfrigérateur se fasse automatiquement, le compresseur doit obligatoirement s'arrêter par intermittence.

Emplacement des denrées
Zone la plus froide
Vous obtiendrez une meilleure conservation de vos aliments si vous
les placez dans la zone de froid convenant le mieux à leur nature.
La zone la plus froide se situe au niveau de la clayette inférieure
située au dessus du compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C.
Le symbole ci-contre indique l’emplacement de la zone la plus froide
de votre réfrigérateur (si votre appareil en est équipé).
L’espace situé directement au dessus de la clayette du compartiment
LONGFRESH 0°C est la zone la plus froide du compartiment réfrigérateur comme indiqué par la clayette ou l'autocollant sur la paroi de
votre appareil.
La clayette située au dessus de celle du compartiment LONGFRESH
0°C définit le haut de la zone la plus froide, cette clayette étant
amovible, veillez à ce qu'elle soit toujours au même niveau que la
limite de zone décrite sur l'autocollant, afin de garantir les températures dans cette zone.
Chaque type d’aliment a une température de conservation idéale et
donc un emplacement précis à respecter.
En réglant correctement votre réfrigérateur, vous obtiendrez des
zones correspondant à chaque type d’aliment (voir chapitre “Avertissements importants”).
Le compartiment réfrigérant est doté d’une turbine. La turbine
refroidit rapidement les aliments et garantit une répartition optimale
de la température entre le réfrigérateur et le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C.
Remarques: Les bananes, les pommes de terre, I’ail et les oignons ne
se conservent pas au réfrigérateur. Les fromages fermentés ne seront
mis au réfrigérateur que si l’on désire arrêter leur maturation. Ils
devront alors être soigneusement enveloppés.

Les balconnets recevront, en bas, les bouteilles,
puis en remontant les produits de faible volume
et d’emploi courant (crème, yaourts ...). Le beurre, les fromages cuits et les oeufs trouveront
leur place dans les casiers ou étagères appropriés.

TURBO COOLMATIC
La fonction TURBO COOLMATIC permet un refroidissement rapide de
quantités importantes dans le réfrigérateur de denrées (par exemple
des boissons ou des salades, ...).
1. Appuyez sur la touche TURBO COOLMATIC pour enclencher la fonction TURBO COOLMATIC. Le voyant jaune s’allume automatiquement.
2. En actionnant la touche TURBO COOLMATIC l’appareil sélectionne
automatiquement une température de +3°C pendant 6 heures. A la
fin de ce laps de temps, l’appareil revient automatiquement à la
température sélectionnée initialement.
3. Vous pouvez à tout moment arrêter manuellement la fonction TURBO COOLMATIC, en appuyant de nouveau sur la touche TURBO
COOLMATIC.
Anomalie de fonctionnement de l’appareil
Si le système de contrôle éléctronique de l’appareil détecte une anomalie technique qui empêche de mesurer la température ACTUELLE,
un carré apparaîtra sur l’indicateur de température. L’appareil fonctionne avec un programme de secours jusqu’au moment où le service après vente aura effectué les vérifications et/ou réparations
nécessaires.
Arrêt de l’appareil
En cas d’absence prolongée ou de non-utilisation
1. Pour mettre à l’arrêt l’appareil appuyez pendant cinq secondes env.
sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET. L’indicateur de température effectue
un décompte de «3» à «1». Lorsqu'il atteint «1», le compartiment
réfrigérateur se met hors service. L'indicateur de température
s'éteint.
2. Débranchez et videz l’appareil.
3. Dégivrez et nettoyez soigneusement l’appareil (voir chapitres "Dégivrage" et "Nettoyage").
4. Maintenez la porte entrouverte pendant toute la durée de non-utilisation.
Si toutefois, vous n’avez pas la possibilité de débrancher et vider
l’appareil, faites vérifier régulièrement le bon fonctionnement de
celui-ci.

Equipement intérieur
Les clayettes
Les glissières se trouvant sur les
parois de la cuve permettent de positionner les clayettes à différentes
hauteurs selon vos besoins. Seule la
clayette située sur le(s) bac(s) à légumes doit rester à cet emplacement.

Pour retirer les clayettes, tirez-les vers
vous et soulevez-les.
Si votre appareil est équipé de demi-clayettes, vous pouvez retirer la demi
clayette avant afin de placer des aliments de grande hauteur sur la clayette situeé en dessous.
Les balconnets
Il est posiible de modifier la position en hauteur des balconnets sur la contre porte selon vos besoins. Pour les retirer, soulevez-les vers le haut.
Compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C
A l'intérieur du compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C, la température est
contrôlée automatiquement. Elle reste à une température de 0°C
constante et aucun réglage ne s’avère nécessaire.
La température de conservation constante aux alentours de 0°C et
l'humidité relative comprise entre 45 et 90% garantissent des conditions optimales pour les différents types d'aliments.
Dans le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C, il est donc possible de
conserver une vaste gamme d'aliments frais qui se conserveront jusqu'à trois fois plus longtemps et avec une qualité bien supérieure
par rapport à ce que l’on peut obtenir dans les compartiments réfrigérants traditionnels.
Ceci permettra de conserver des aliments plus frais. Le goût, le degré
de fraîcheur, la qualité et les valeurs nutritionnelles (vitamines et
minéraux) seront parfaitement conservés. La perte de poids des
fruits et des légumes sera en outre minimisée. Les aliments apporteront une plus grande quantité de substances nutritives.
Le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C est également indiqué pour la
décongélation des aliments. Dans un tel cas, les aliments décongelés
pouvoir être conservés pendant une période allant jusqu’à deux
jours à l'intérieur du compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C.

Contrôle de l’humidité
Les deux tiroirs peuvent être utilisés de manière indépendante
l’un de l’autre, sous les conditions de conservation souhaitées,
en programmant un taux d'humidité supérieur ou inférieur.
Le réglage de chaque tiroir est séparé et s’effectue au moyen de la
vanne à tiroir placée sur le côté antérieur du tiroir.
• „Sec“: humidité de l’air réduite – jusqu’à 50% d’humidité relative.
Ce taux d’humidité est atteint quand les leviers coulissants sont
réglés sur cette position
et que les orifices de ventilation sont
complètement ouverts.
• „Humide“: humidité élevée de l’air – jusqu’à 90% d’humidité relative.
Ce taux d’humidité est atteint quand les leviers coulissants sont
réglés sur cette position
et que les orifices de ventilation sont
fermés. L'humidité est retenue et ne peut plus s’échapper.
Tiroirs
Les clayettes en fil à l’intérieur des
tiroirs permettent que l’air circule
librement et par conséquent une
meilleure conservation des aliments.
Les tiroirs stables sont antibasculants et bloqués dans la position
extrême.
Pour les sortir, tirez-les jusqu’à la
butée, remontez-les et les enlevez-les par l’avant.
Note: Si l’on doit ranger de
grandes quantités d’aliments sur
le O°C compartment, on peut
enlever de l’appareil le tiroir audessous.

Emplacement des denrées
Le compartiment réfrigérant est équipé d’un ventilateur. Le ventilateur refroidit rapidement les aliments et garantit une répartition
optimale de la température entre le réfrigérateur et le compartiment
LONGFRESH 0°C.
Dans le compartiment réfrigérant, on peut conserver :
- boissons, conserves, bocaux, bouteilles;
- produits pour le four, aliments tout prêts;
- produits avec délais de conservation brefs;
- aliments qui ne se prêtent pas à une conservation à la température
régnant dans le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C.
Conseils:
• Ne pas placer des aliments chauds ou des liquides découverts dans
le réfrigérateur.
• Les aliments, en particulier la salade, doivent être conservés bien
couverts ou emballés, pour faire en sorte qu’ils ne sèchent pas et
que leurs goûts et leurs odeurs demeurent inchangés.
• Les alcools forts doivent être conservés exclusivement bien fermés
et en position verticale.
• La durée de conservation sera en fonction de l’état de fraîcheur
des aliments avant la conservation dans le réfrigérateur.
Ne conserver dans le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C que les aliments qui s’y prêtent.

Les gâteaux contenant de la crème fraîche et d’autres produits de
pâtisserie peuvent être conservés dans le compartiment LONGFRESH
0°C pendant 2 ou 3 jours.
Ne pas conserver dans le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C les aliments
suivants:
• fruits sensibles au froid, qui devraient être conservés à température ambiante ou de cave, tels que les ananas, les bananes, les pamplemousses, les melons, les mangues, les papayes, les oranges, les
citrons, les kiwis.
• Les types d’aliments non cités devraient être conservés dans le
compartiment réfrigérant (par exemple, tous les types de fromages, la charcuterie, etc.).
Le taux d'humidité de l'air dans les tiroirs dépend de la teneur en
humidité des aliments, des fruits et des légumes conservés et de la
fréquence d'ouverture de la porte.
Le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C est également indiqué pour la
décongélation lente des aliments. Dans de tels cas, les aliments
décongelés pourront être conservés pendant deux jours au maximum

Attention!
Tenez compte du degré de fraîcheur des aliments et respectez impérativement la Date Limite de Conservation (DLC) indiquée sur l’emballage.
Conseils:
• Conserver toujours les aliments d’origine animale au sec et bien
emballés.
• Les aliments riches en protéines ont tendance à se détériorer plus
rapidement. Ceci signifie que les fruits de mer se gâteront avant le
poisson qui, à son tour, se détériorera avant la viande. En cas de
conservation dans le compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C, l'aliment en
question peut être conservé pendant une période trois fois plus
longue, sans subir aucune perte de qualité.
• Tous les aliments conservés dans un compartiment à 0°C devraient
être extraits du tiroir 15-30 minutes environ avant leur consommation, en particulier les fruits et les légumes qui doivent être
consommés sans aucune cuisson préliminaire. Permettre aux fruits
et aux légumes de retourner à la température ambiante améliorera
sensiblement leur consistance et leur goût.

Attendez que le voyant rouge alarme s’éteigne avant d’introduire les

Cette fonction FROSTMATIC accélère la congélation d’aliments frais et
protège en même temps les marchandises déjà entreposées d’un réchauffement indésirable.
En appuyant sur la touche FROSTMATIC, on enclenche la fonction FROSTMATIC. Le voyant jaune s’allume.
Si la fonction FROSTMATIC n’est pas interrompue manuellement, l’électronique de l’appareil interrompt la fonction FROSTMATIC après presque 48
heures. Le voyant jaune s’éteint.
En appuyant à nouveau sur la touche FROSTMATIC, on peut à tout moment
mettre manuellement fin à la fonction FROSTMATIC. Le voyant jaune s’éteint.
Touche arret alarme
Une élévation anormale de la température du congélateur (par exemple en
cas de coupure de courant) est indiquée par le clignotement du voyant (O)
et par un signal sonore. Une fois rétablies les conditions normales de fonctionnement, le signal sonore s'arrête alors que voyant alarme continue de
clignoter. En appuyant sur la touche (P), s'affiche sur l'indicateur (K) pendant quelques secondes la température maximum atteinte à l'intérieur du
congélateur.

• N’entreposez que des aliments frais, nettoyés et enfermés dans des emballages ou récipients appropriés de qualité alimentaire (il en existe de nombreux modèles dans le commerce).
• Respectez les conseils pour le stockage des denrées, et les règles d’hygiène alimentaire donnés au paragraphe “ Avertissements importants ”.
• Afin de permettre une circulation d’air correcte, ne couvrez pas les clayettes de papier ou de feuilles en plastique.

Compartiment congélateur
Comment congeler
Votre appareil porte le sigle normalisé 4 étoiles c’est à dire qu’il vous permet
de congeler vous-même des denrées fraîches et des plats cuisinés.
Congeler un aliment, c’est abaisser le plus rapidement possible sa température «à cœur» à -18°C.
Toutefois, si vous désirez congeler plus rapidement, vous pouvez régler le
thermostat sur une position plus élevée en veillant à ce que la température
ne descende pas en dessous de 0°C dans le compartiment réfrigérateur.
A la mise en service de l’appareil ou après un dégivrage, nous vous conseillons d’attendre 2 heures avant d’introduire les produits frais dans le compartiment congélateur.
Si l’appareil est déjà en fonctionnement, ce délai n’est pas nécessaire.
Placez les aliments à congeler dans le compartiment congélateur.
Attention: Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats vous devez tenir compte du
pouvoir de congélation de votre appareil, c’est à dire de la quantité maximale de denrées que vous pouvez congeler par 24 heures.
Le pouvoir de congélation est indiqué sur la plaque signalétique de votre
appareil.
Pour congeler dans les meilleures conditions:
• Respectez le pouvoir de congelation de votre appareil, c’est-à-dire la
quantité maximale de denrées fraîches que vous pouvez congeler par 24
heures.
Evitez de procéder à la fabrication des glaçons pendant le temps de congélation (24 heures) et de placer les produits frais en contact avec les produits
déjà congelés.
Conservation des produits surgelés et congelés du
commerce
Pour une bonne conservation des produits surgelés et congelés, la température à l’intérieur du compartiment congélateur doit être maintenue égale
ou inférieure à -18°C.
Assurez-vous que l’emballage des aliments est intact et qu’il ne présente
aucune trace d’humidité, signe d’un début de décongélation.
Prévoyez un temps réduit au minimum pour leur transport du magasin d’alimentation à votre domicile. Utilisez des sacs isothermes (dans la mesure du
possible).
Repérez la date de fabrication du produit, et respectez la durée de conservation indiquée par le fabricant.

Evitez d’ouvrir trop souvent la porte du compartiment congélateur et ne la
laissez ouverte que le temps nécessaire. Une augmentation de la température peut réduire sensiblement la durée de conservation des aliments.
Laissez refroidir les aliments chauds avant de les introduire dans le congélateur.
Ne touchez pas avec les mains humides les surfaces givrées et les produits congelés er ne consommez pas certains produits tels que les bâtonnets glacés dès leur sortie du compartiment congélateur, la température
très basse à laquelle ils se trouvent peut provoquer des brûlures ou un
arrachement de la peau. Un produit décongelé doit être consommé dans
le plus bref délai et ne jamais être recongelé, sauf s’il a été cuit entretemps.
Fabrication des glaçons
La fabrication des glaçons s’effectue dans le compartiment congélateur.
Remplissez les bacs jusqu’aux trois quarts de leur hauteur, de manière à permettre l’expansion de la glace.
Si votre eau est particulièrement riche en sels minéraux (calcaire notamment), remplissez vos bacs avec de l’eau minérale non gazeuse.
Les bacs en matière plastique vous assurent un démoulage plus facile. Si toutefois vous désirez obtenir des glaçons plus rapidement, nous vous conseillons d’utiliser des bacs métalliques que vous trouverez dans le commerce.
Nous vpus recommandons de faire régulièrement de nouveaux glaçons.
Démoulage des glaçons
Le démoulage des bacs en matière plastique s’obtient par simple torsion.
Si vous utilisez des bacs métalliques, passez-les sous l’eau froide pour en
faciliter le démoulage.
Ne décollez jamais les bacs à glaçons avec un couteau ou tout autre objet
tranchant, vous risqueriez de détériorer irrémédiablement l’évaporateur.
Calendrier de congélation
• Les symboles qui figurent sur les tiroirs correspondent à différents types
de produits congelés.
• Les chiffres indiquent la durée de conservation en mois du type correspondant de produit. La durée de conservation supérieure ou infé-rieure
est valable en fonction de la qualité des aliments et du traitement qu’ils ont
subi avant la congélation. La valeur inférieure s’applique toujours aux aliments contenant un fort pourcentage de graisse.

Accumulateur de froid

Votre appareil est équipé avec deux accumulateurs de froid. Il doit être placé
dans le tiroir supérieur.
Il vous permet:
d’augmenter l’autonomie de votre appareil en cas de coupure de courant,
de transporter des produits congelés ou surgelés,
de maintenir le froid au niveau le plus bas dans une glacière de pique nique,
de maintenir le froid dans les produits surgelés ou congelés durant la période de dégivrage.
Entretien et nettoyage
Dégivrage
Le dégivrage du compartiment réfrigérateur s’effectue AUTOMATIQUEMENT
à chaque arrêt du compresseur. L’eau de dégivrage est évacuée dans un bac
situé à l’arrière de l’appareil où elle s’évapore. Cette opération ne nécessite
aucune intervention de votre part.

Périodiquement (toutes les 2 ou 3 semaines) à l’aide de une spatule en plastique, grattez la mince couche de givre qui recouvre les parois. Il n’est pas
nécessaire de débrancher l’appareil et d’enlever les produits contenus dans
ce compartiment.
N’utilisez jamais de couteau ou d’objet métallique pour gratter la couche
de givre, vous risquez de détériorer irrémédiablement l’évaporateur.
Une ou deux fois par an, ou chaque fois que l’épaisseur du givre excède 5
mm environ, il est recommandé de procéder, au dégivrage complet.
Pour dégivrer complètement l’appareil
Choisissez le moment où votre appareil est peu garni.
Appuyez sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET et débranchez l’appareil.
Débranchez l’appareil.
Sortez les bacs à glaçons et éventuellement les denrées congelées. Enveloppez celles-ci dans plusieurs feuilles de papier journal, ou mieux, dans des
emballages isothermes. Conservez-les dans un endroit frais.
Maintenez la porte ouverte .

Nettoyage
Ne procédez au nettoyage qu’après avoir débranché l’appareil.
N’utilisez jamais de produits abrasifs ou caustiques ni d’éponges avec
grattoir pour procéder au nettoyage de votre appareil.
Il est indispensable de maintenir votre appareil en parfait état de propreté.
Nettoyage intérieur
Il est recommandé de nettoyer le compartiment réfrigérateur très régulièrement et le compartiment congélateur chaque fois que vous procédez au
dégivrage complet.
• Retirez tous les accessoires (clayettes, balconnets, bac(s) à légumes, etc...).
Lavez-les à l’eau tiède additionnée d’un détergent doux et inodore (produit utilisé pour la vaisselle par exemple) ; rincez à l’eau javellisée et séchez
très soigneusement.
• Lavez les parois intérieures du compartiment comme indiqué pour les
accessoires. Soignez particulièrement les supports de clayettes et la gouttière d’évacuation de l’eau de dégivrage.
• Lavez le joint de porte en caoutchouc sans omettre de nettoyer également
sous le joint.
A l’occasion d’un dégivrage, lavez le compartiment et le joint de porte à l’aide d’une éponge et d’un détergent doux. Rincez et séchez soigneusement.
Compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C
La clayette inférieure qui divise la zone la plus froide du compartiment LONGFRESH 0°C peut être retirée pour procéder au nettoyage.

Lavez l’ensemble de la carrosserie à l’eau tiède savonneuse. Rincez et séchez

De temps en temps, dépoussiérez le condenseur (grille située à l’arrière de
l’appareil) à l’aide d’un aspirateur ou d’une brosse.

Débranchez, videz, dégivrez et nettoyez l’appareil.
Maintenez la porte entrouverte pendant toute la durée de non-utilisation.
Si toutefois, vous n’avez pas la possibilité de débrancher et vider l’appareil,
faites vérifier régulièrement le bon fonctionnement de celui-ci et ceci en
tenant compte de sa charge et de son autonomie de fonctionnement.

Si la panne doit se prolonger, transférez les produits surgelés et congelés
dans un autre congélateur. L’autonomie de fonctionnement de votre appareil est indiquée au paragraphe “ Caractéristiques techniques ”.
Cette durée est sensiblement raccourcie suivant la charge de l’appareil.
Dès que vous constatez un début de décongélation, consommez les aliments
le plus rapidement possible ou recongelez-les après les avoir cuits (aliments
crus).

Installation
Retrait de la protection pour le transport
L’appareil et certaines parties de l’équipement intérieur sont protégés pour
le transport.
Retirez toutes les bandes autocollantes et cales à l’intérieur de l’appareil.
Votre appareil est équipé d’arrêts pour
clayettes qui permettent de les bloquer pendant le transport.
Pour les enlever, procéder de la façon
suivante :
déplacez les arrêts dans le sens de la
flèche, soulevez à l’arrière la clayette
et poussez-la vers l’avant jusqu’à elle
se dégage. Retirez les arrêts.

Emplacement
Placez de préférence votre appareil loin d’une source de chaleur (chauffage,
cuisson ou rayons solaires trop intenses).
Veillez à ce que l’air circule librement tout autour de l’appareil (voir instructions pour l’encastrement).
Pour le bon fonctionnement de votre appareil, la température ambiante
du local doit être comprise entre +10°C et +38°C. Au delà de ces températures, ses performances peuvent s’en trouver diminuées.
Important:
L’appareil doit pouvoir être débranché à tout moment; il est donc nécessaire que la prise murale reste accessible une fois que l’installation est terminée.
Branchement électrique
Votre appareil ne peut être branché qu'en 230 V monophasé.
Vérifiez que le compteur électrique peut supporter l'intensité absorbée par
votre appareil compte tenu des autres appareils déjà branchés.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
• Das Kältegerät ist für die Verwendung im Haushalt bestimmt. Es eignet
sich zum Kühlen, Einfrieren und Tiefkühllagern von Lebensmitteln sowie

kann vom Hersteller keine Haftung für eventuelle Schäden übernommen
werden.
• Umbauten oder Veränderungen am Kältegerät sind aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht zulässig.
• Sollten Sie das Kältegerät gewerblich oder für andere Zwecke als zum
Kühlen, Tiefkühllagern und Einfrieren von Lebensmitteln benutzen, beachten Sie bitte die für Ihren Bereich gültigen gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme
• Überprüfen Sie das Kältegerät auf Transportschäden. Ein beschädigtes
Gerät auf keinen Fall anschließen! Wenden Sie sich im Schadensfall bitte
an den Lieferanten.
Kältemittel
Das Gerät enthält im Kältemittelkreislauf das Kältemittel Isobutan (R600a),
ein Naturgas mit hoher Umweltverträglichkeit, das jedoch brennbar ist.
• Achten Sie beim Transportieren und Aufstellen des Gerätes darauf, daß
keine Teile des Kältemittelkreislaufs beschädigt werden.
• Bei Beschädigung des Kältemittelkreislaufs:
– offenes Feuer und Zündquellen unbedingt vermeiden;
– den Raum, in dem das Gerät steht, gut durchlüften.
Sicherheit von Kindern
• Verpackungsteile (z. B. Folien, Styropor) können für Kinder gefährlich
sein. Erstickungsgefahr! Verpackungsmaterial von Kindern fernhalten!
• Ausgediente Altgeräte bitte vor der Entsorgung unbrauchbar machen.
Netzstecker ziehen, Netzkabel durchtrennen, eventuell vorhandene
Schnapp- oder Riegelschlösser entfernen oder zerstören. Dadurch
verhindern Sie, daß sich spielende Kinder im Gerät einsperren
(Erstickungsgefahr!) oder in andere lebensgefährliche Situationen geraten.

• Kinder können Gefahren, die im Umgang mit Haushaltsgeräten liegen,
oft nicht erkennen. Sorgen Sie deshalb für die notwendige Aufsicht und
lassen Sie Kinder nicht mit dem Gerät spielen!
Im Alltagsbetrieb
• Behälter mit brennbaren Gasen oder Flüssigkeiten können durch Kälteeinwirkung undicht werden. Explosionsgefahr! Lagern Sie keine Behälter mit brennbaren Stoffen, wie z.B. Spraydosen, Feuerzeug-Nachfüllkartuschen etc. im Kältegerät.
• Flaschen und Dosen dürfen nicht in den Gefrierraum. Sie können springen, wenn der Inhalt gefriert - bei kohlensäurehaltigem Inhalt sogar
explodieren! Legen Sie nie Limonaden, Säfte, Bier, Wein, Sekt usw. in den
Gefrierraum. Ausnahme: Hochprozentige Spirituosen können im Gefrierraum gelagert werden.
• Speiseeis und Eiswürfel nicht unmittelbar aus dem Gefrierraum in den
Mund nehmen. Sehr kaltes Eis kann an Lippen oder Zunge festfrieren und
Verletzungen verursachen.
• Tiefkühlgut nicht mit nassen Händen berühren. Die Hände könnten daran
festfrieren.
• Keine Elektrogeräte (z. B. elektrische Eismaschinen, Rührgeräte etc.) im
Kältegerät betreiben.
• Vor Reinigungsarbeiten das Gerät grundsätzlich abschalten und den
Netzstecker ziehen oder Sicherung in der Wohnung abschalten bzw.
herausdrehen.
• Netzstecker immer am Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, nie am Kabel.
Im Störungsfall
• Sollte einmal eine Störung am Gerät auftreten, sehen Sie bitte zuerst in
dieser Gebrauchsanweisung unter "Was tun, wenn ..." nach. Falls die dort
aufgeführten Hinweise nicht weiterhelfen, führen Sie bitte keine
weiteren Arbeiten selbst aus.
• Kältegeräte dürfen nur von Fachkräften repariert werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen. Wenden
Sie sich im Reparaturfall bitte an Ihren Fachhändler oder an unseren
Kundendienst.

Entsorgung
Information zur Geräteverpackung
Alle verwendeten Werkstoffe sind umweltverträglich! Sie können gefahrlos
deponiert oder in der Müllverbrennungsanlage verbrannt werden!
Zu den Werkstoffen: Die Kunststoffe können auch wiederverwertet werden
und sind folgendermaßen gekennzeichnet:
>PE< für Polyäthylen, z. B. bei der äußeren Hülle und den Beuteln im Innern.
>PS< für geschäumtes Polystyrol, z. B. bei den Polsterteilen, grundsätzlich
FCKW-frei.
Die Kartonteile werden aus Altpapier hergestellt und sollten auch wieder zur
Altpapiersammlung gegeben werden.
Entsorgung von Altgeräten
Aus Umweltschutzgründen müssen Kältegeräte fachgerecht entsorgt werden. Dies gilt für Ihr bisheriges Gerät und - nachdem es eines Tages ausgedient hat - auch für Ihr neues Gerät.
Warnung! Ausgediente Altgeräte bitte vor der Entsorgung unbrauchbar
machen. Netzstecker ziehen, Netzkabel durchtrennen, eventuell vorhandene Schnapp- oder Riegelschlösser entfernen oder zerstören. Dadurch
verhindern Sie, daß sich spielende Kinder im Gerät einsperren (Erstickungsgefahr!) oder in andere lebensgefährliche Situationen geraten.
Entsorgungshinweise:
• Das Gerät darf nicht mit dem Haus- oder Sperrmüll entsorgt werden.
• Der Kältemittelkreislauf, insbesondere der Wärmetauscher an der Geräterückseite, darf nicht beschädigt werden.

Das Gerät soll in einem gut belüfteten und trockenen Raum stehen.
Die Umgebungstemperatur wirkt sich auf den Stromverbrauch und die
einwandfreie Funktion des Gerätes aus. Daher sollte das Gerät
– nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt sein;
– nicht an Heizkörpern, neben einem Herd oder sonstigen Wärmequellen
stehen;
– nur an einem Ort stehen, dessen Umgebungstemperatur der Klimaklasse
entspricht, für die das Gerät ausgelegt ist.
Die Klimaklasse finden Sie auf dem Typschild, das sich links im Innenraum
des Kühlraumes befindet.
Nachstehende Tabelle zeigt, welche Umgebungstemperatur welcher Klimaklasse zugeordnet ist:

Ist die Aufstellung neben einer Wärmequelle unvermeidbar, sind folgende

Können diese Abstände nicht eingehalten werden, ist eine Wärmeschutzplatte zwischen Herd und Kältegerät erforderlich. Steht das Kältegerät

Prüfen Sie bitte nach dem Einbau des Gerätes, insbesondere nach Türanschlagwechsel, ob die Türdichtung ringsum richtig abdichtet. Eine undichte
Türdichtung kann zu verstäkter Reifbildung und dadurch zu höherem Energieverbrauch führen (siehe auch Abschnitt “Abhilfe bei Störungen”).
Elektrischer Anschluß
Für den elektrischen Anschluß ist eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte
Schutzkontakt-Steckdose erforderlich. Sie sollte so gesetzt sein, daß ein
Ziehen des Netzsteckers möglich ist.
Die elektrische Absicherung muß mindestens 10/16 Ampere betragen.
Ist die Steckdose bei eingebautem Gerät nicht mehr zugänglich, muß eine
geeignete Maßnahme in der Elektroinstallation sicherstellen, daß das Gerät
vom Netz getrennt werden kann (z. B. Sicherung, LS-Schalter, FehlerstromSchutzschalter oder dergleichen mit einer Kontaktöffnungsweite von mindestens 3 mm).
• Vor Inbetriebnahme am Typschild des Gerätes überprüfen, ob Anschlußspannung und Stromart mit den Werten des Stromnetzes am Aufstellort
übereinstimmen.

Die Temperatureinstellung erfolgt durch die Tasten C und E.
Die Tasten stehen in Verbindung mit der Temperaturanzeige.
Durch Druck auf eine der beiden Tasten C oder E wird die Temperaturanzeige von der IST-Temperatur (Temperaturanzeige leuchtet) auf die SOLL-Temperatur (Temperaturanzeige blinkt) umgeschaltet.
Mit jedem weiteren Druck auf eine der beiden Tasten wird die SOLL- Temperatur um 1 °C weiter gestellt. Die SOLL- Temperatur muss innerhalb 24
Stunden erreicht werden.
Wird keine Taste gedrückt, schaltet die Temperaturanzeige nach kurzer Zeit
(ca. 5 sec.) automatisch wieder auf die IST-Temperatur zurück.
SOLL-Temperatur bedeutet:
Die Temperatur, die im Kühlraum vorhanden sein soll. Die SOLL-Temperatur
wird durch blinkende Zahlen angezeigt.

IST-Temperatur bedeutet:
Die Temperaturanzeige zeigt die Temperatur an, die momentan tatsächlich
im Kühlraum vorhanden ist. Die IST-Temperatur wird durch leuchtende Zahlen angezeigt.
Temperaturanzeige

Die Temperaturanzeige kann mehrere Informationen anzeigen.
Bei normalem Betrieb wird die Temperatur angezeigt, die momentan im
Kühlraum vorhanden ist (IST-Temperatur).
Während der Temperatureinstellung wird blinkend die im Moment eingestellte Kühlraumtemperatur angezeigt (SOLL-Temperatur).
Luftfilter
In der Rückwand des Kühlraumes befindet sich ein Aktivkohlefilter
(„AIR FILTER“).
Durch den Filter wird im Kühl- und
im LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum durch
Bindung unangenehmer Gerüche
die Luft gereinigt und damit die
Lagerqualität zusätzlich verbessert.
Hinweis: Der Aktivkohlefilter ist ein Verschleißteil und fällt nicht
unter die Garantieleistungen.
Einsetzen des Aktivkohlefilters
Bei Lieferung des Kühlschranks ist der Kohlefilter in einer Schutzfolie verpackt, um eine lange Lebensdauer zu gewährleisten. Vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes muss der Aktivkohlefilter in die Klappe an
der Rückwand eingesetzt werden.

um Ablösung von Kohleteilen zu vermeiden.

Wechsel des Aktivkohlefilters
Zur Erhaltung der vollen Funktionsfähigkeit unter üblichen Betriebsbedingungen
ist der Aktivkohlefilter einmal pro Jahr
auszutauschen. Einen passender Aktivkohlefilter erhaltern Sie über Ihren Fachhändler oder den Kundendienst.
1. Klappe durch vorsichtiges Ziehen an der
Oberkante öffnen (1).
2. Den verbrauchten Aktivkohlefilter aus
den Führungen herausziehen (2).
3. Den neuen Aktivkohlefilter aus der Verpackung nehmen und in die Führungen
in der Klappe einsetzen (2). Klappe wieder zudrücken.

Netzstecker in die Steckdose stecken.
Taste ON/OFF (B) drücken. Die grüne Netzkontrollanzeige (A) leuchtet. Die
Temperaturanzeige (D) zeigt die momentan im Kühlraum vorhandene ISTTemperatur an.
Auf eine der Tasten C oder E drücken. Die Temperatur-anzeige schaltet um
und zeigt blinkend die momentan eingestellte SOLL-Temperatur an.
Gewünschte Temperatur durch Drücken der Tasten C und E einstellen (siehe
Abschnitt "Tasten zur Temperatureinstellung"). Die Temperaturanzeige zeigt
sofort die geänderte Einstellung an. Mit jedem Tastendruck wird die Temperatur um 1°C weitergestellt.
Aus ernährungswissenschaftlicher Sicht ist +5°C für den Kühlraum als
ausreichend kalte Lagertemperatur anzusehen.
Wenn nach erfolgter Temperatureinstellung die Tasten nicht mehr gedrückt
werden, schaltet die Temperaturanzeige nach kurzer Zeit (ca. 5 sec.) um und
zeigt wieder die momentan im Kühlraum vorhandene IST-Temperatur an.
Die Anzeige wechselt von Blinken zu kontinuierlichem Leuchten.
Der Kompressor startet und läuft dann automatisch.
Hinweis: Bei Anderung der Einstellung läuft der Kompressor nicht sofort an,
wenn gerade automatisch abgetaut wird.
Da die Lagertemperatur im Kühlraum schnell erreicht wird, können Sie gleich nach dem Einschalten Kühlgut einlagern.

TURBO COOLMATIC-Taste
Die TURBO COOLMATIC-Funktion eignet sich zum schnellen Abkühlen
größerer Kühlgutmengen im Kühlraum, z. B. Getränke, Salate anläßlich
einer Party.

Durch Drücken der Taste TURBO COOLMATIC wird die TURBO COOLMATICFunktion eingeschaltet. Die gelbe Anzeige leuchtet.
Die TURBO COOLMATIC-Funktion sorgt jetzt für intensives Kühlen. Dabei
wird automatisch eine SOLL-Temperatur von +2 °C vorgegeben. Nach
Ablauf von 6 Stunden wird die TURBO COOLMATIC-Funktion selbsttätig
beendet. Die ursprünglich eingestellte SOLL-Temperatur ist dann wieder
maßgebend. und die Temperaturanzeige zeigt die momentane Kühlraumtemperatur.
Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste TURBO COOLMATIC kann die TURBOCOOLMATIC-Funktion jederzeit manuell beendet werden. Die gelbe Anzeige
erlischt..
Innenausstattung
Abstellflächen
Die Abstellfläche aus Glas über den
Obst- und Gemüseschalen muß
immer in dieser Stellung verbleiben,
damit Obst und Gemüse länger frisch
bleiben.Die übrigen Abstellflächen

Die vordere Hälfte der zweiteiligen Glasabstellfläche herausnehmen und in
eine andere Ebene einschieben. Dadurch gewinnen Sie Raum, um auf der
darunterliegenden Abstellfläche hohes Kühlgut abzustellen
Variable Innentür
Je nach Erfordernis können die Abstellfächer der Kühlraumtür nach oben
herausgenommen und in andere Aufnahmen umgesetzt werden.

LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum
Im LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum wird die Temperatur automatisch geregelt. Sie bleibt konstant nahe 0°C, eine Einstellung ist nicht erforderlich.
Die Lagertemperatur konstant nahe 0°C und die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit zwischen 45 und 90 % ermöglichen für die verschiedenen
Lebensmittel optimale Bedingungen.
Im LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum können deshalb verschiedene frische
Lebensmittel bis zu 3 mal länger bei besserer Qualität im Vergleich
zur Lagerung im normalen Kühlfach gelagert werden.
Dadurch erweitert sich Ihre Vorratshaltung für frische Lebensmittel.
Geschmack, Frischegrad, Genuss- und Nährwerte (Vitamine und
Mineralstoffe) bleiben in hohem Maße erhalten. Ein Gewichtsverlust
von Gemüse und Obst verringert sich. Die Ernährung kann
ernährungsphysiologisch hochwertiger erfolgen.
Das LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum ist auch für das langsame Auftauen
von Lebensmitteln geeignet. In diesem Fall sind die aufgetauten
Lebensmittel bis zu zwei Tage im LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum haltbar.
Feuchte einstellen
Die beiden Schubladen können
entsprechend den gewünschten
Lagerbedingungen jede unabhängig von einander mit niedrigerer oder höherer Luftfeuchtigkeit genutzt werden.
Die Einstellung erfolgt für jede
Schublade getrennt durch Betätigung der Schieber in der Schubladenfront.
• „Trocken“: niedrige relative Luftfeuchtigkeit von weinger als 50%
Eine niedrige relative Luftfeuchtigkeit wird erreicht wenn beide
Schieber in die Position
geschoben werden und die Luftschlitze
vollständig geöffnet sind.
• „Feucht“: hohe relative Luftfeuchtigkeit von bis zu 90%
Eine relative Luftfeuchtigkeit von bis zu 90% wird abhängig von
der Beladung erreicht wenn beide Schieber in die Position
geschoben werden und die Luftschlitze vollständig geschlossen
sind.

Schubladen
Die Gitterfächer im Inneren der
Schublade sorgen für eine einwandfreie Lüftung. Diese werden
für eine optimale Erhaltung der
Lebensmittel sorgen.
Die stabilen Kälteschubladen sind
kippgesichert und in Endstellung
arretiert.
Zum Herausnehmen ziehen Sie
die Schubladen bis zur Arretierung heraus, kippen sie nach
oben und ziehen sie nach vorn
heraus.
Hinweis: wenn eine große Menge
von Lebensmitteln in dem 0°C
Kaltraum gelagert werden soll,
ist es möglich, die untere Schublade zu entfernen.
In diesem Fall ist die Longfresh-Funktion jedoch nicht mehr gegeben.
Richtig lagern
Der Kühlraum ist mit einem Ventilator ausgestattet, der ein schnelles
Abkühlen der Nahrungsmittel und eine gleichmäßige Temperaturverteilung sowohl im Kühlraum als auch im 0° LONGFRESH Kaltraum
ermöglicht.
Im Kühlraum lagern Sie:
- Getränke, Konserven, Dosen, Flaschen;
- Backwaren, fertige Speisen;
- für den kurzfristigen Verbrauch bestimmten Waren;
- die für den LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum nicht geeigneten
kälteempfindlichen Lebensmittel.

Tipps:
• Keine warmen Speisen oder offenen Flüssigkeiten in den Kühlschrank stellen.
• Lebensmittel so einlagern, dass die Luft frei zirkulieren kann.
• Butter und für den Verzehr bestimmten Käse im Butter-/Käsefach
aufbewahren, dies bewahrt die Streichfähigkeit und das Aroma.
• Lebensmittel, insbesondere grünen Salat immer abgedeckt oder
verpackt lagern um Austrocknung und Geruchs- oder
Geschmacksübertragung auf anderes Kühlgut zu vermeiden.
Zum Verpacken eignen sich:
– Frischhaltebeutel und -folien aus Polyäthylen;
– Kunststoffbehälter mit Deckel;
– Spezielle Hauben aus Kunststoff mit Gummizug;
– Aluminiumfolie.
• Hochprozentigen Alkohol nur dicht verschlossen und stehend
lagern.
• Lagern Sie keine Behälter mit brennbaren oder explosiven Stoffen
im Kühlschrank.
Im LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum lagern Sie alle hierfür geeigneten
Lebensmittel.

Torten mit Sahne und andere Konditoreiprodukte lassen sich im
LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum optimal 2 oder 3 Tage aufbewahren.
Nicht in das LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum gehören:
• kälteempfindliche Südfrüchte und Obst, die bei Keller- oder
Raumtemperatur gelagert werden, wie Ananas, Bananen, Grapefruit, Melonen, Mango, Papaya, Orangen, Zitronen, Kiwi.
• Die nicht oben genannten Lebensmittel sind im normalen Kühlfach aufzubewahren (z.B. alle Sorten Käse, Aufschnitte, usw.).
Eine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit in den Schubladen ist abhängig von dem
Feuchtegehalt der eingelegten Lebensmittel wie Salat, Gemüse oder
Obst und von der Häufigkeit des Türöffnens.
Das LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum ist auch für das langsame Auftauen
von Lebensmitteln geeignet. In diesem Fall sind die aufgetauten
Lebensmittel bis zu zwei Tage im LONGFRESH 0°C Kaltraum haltbar.
Tipps:
• Achten Sie beim Einkaufen auf die Frische der Lebensmittel. Qualität und Frischegrad sind entscheidend für die Lagerdauer.
• Tierische Lebensmittel immer verpackt und trocken lagern.
• Beachten Sie, dass eiweißreichere Lebensmittel schneller verderben. So verderben z.B. Schalen- und Krustentiere schneller als
Fisch und Fisch wiederum schneller als Fleisch. Durch Lagerung im
0°C Fach kann auch bei diesen Lebensmitteln die Lagerdauer ohne
qualitative Einbußen bis zum 3-fachen verlängert werden.
• Alle Lebensmittel, die in den 0 °C-Fächern gelagert werden, sollten
ca. 15-30 Minuten vor dem Verzehr aus den Schubladen genommen werden, vor allem Obst und Gemüse, das ohne weiteren Garprozess verzehrt wird. Bei Raumtemperatur entfalten sich Aroma
und Geschmack, und der Genusswert erhöht sich.

Die Temperatureinstellung erfolgt durch die Tasten J und L
Die Tasten stehen in Verbindung mit der Temperaturanzeige.
Durch Druck auf eine der beiden Tasten J oder L wird die Temperaturanzeige von der IST-Temperatur (Temperaturanzeige leuchtet) auf die SOLL-Temperatur (Temperaturanzeige blinkt) umgeschaltet.
Mit jedem weiteren Druck auf eine der beiden Tasten wird die SOLL- Temperatur um 1 °C weiter gestellt. Die SOLL- Temperatur muss innerhalb 24
Stunden erreicht werden.
Wird keine Taste gedrückt, schaltet die Temperaturanzeige nach kurzer Zeit
(ca. 5 sec.) automatisch wieder auf die IST-Temperatur zurück.
SOLL-Temperatur bedeutet:
Die Temperatur, die im Gefrierraum vorhanden sein soll. Die SOLL-Temperatur wird durch blinkende Zahlen angezeigt.
IST-Temperatur bedeutet:
Die Temperaturanzeige zeigt die Temperatur an, die momentan tatsächlich

Die Temperaturanzeige kann mehrere Informationen anzeigen.
Bei normalem Betrieb wird die Temperatur angezeigt, die momentan im
Gefrierraum vorhanden ist (IST-Temperatur).
Während der Temperatureinstellung wird blinkend die im Moment eingestellte Gefrierraumtemperatur angezeigt (SOLL-Temperatur).

Netzstecker in die Steckdose stecken.
Taste ON/OFF (I) drücken. Die grüne Netzkontrollanzeige (H) leuchtet. Die
Temperaturanzeige (K) zeigt die momentan im Gefrierraum vorhandene ISTTemperatur an. Die rote Warnanzeige (O) signalisiert blinkend, daß die erforderliche Lagertemperatur noch nicht erreicht ist. Ein Warnton ist zu hören.
Auf eine der Tasten J oder L drücken. Die Temperatur-anzeige schaltet um
und zeigt blinkend die momentan eingestellte SOLL-Temperatur an.
Gewünschte Temperatur durch Drücken der Tasten J und L einstellen (siehe
Abschnitt "Tasten zur Temperatureinstellung"). Die Temperaturanzeige zeigt
sofort die geänderte Einstellung an. Mit jedem Tastendruck wird die Temperatur um 1 °C weitergestellt.
Aus ernährungswissenschaftlicher Sicht ist -18°C für den Gefrierraum als
ausreichend kalte Lagertemperatur anzusehen.
Der Warnton schaltet sich ab, wenn die vorgegebene Temperatur im
Gefrierraum erreicht wird. Die rote Warnanzeige blinkt weiter. Taste ALARM
STOP drücken, um die rote Warnanzeige abzuschalten.
Kälteakku
Das Gerät kann mit einem oder mehrere Kälteakkus ausgestattet sein.
Bei Stromausfall oder einer Störung am Gerät verlängert die Kälteakkus die
Zeit bis zur unzulässigen Erwärmung des Gefrierguts um mehrere Stunden.
Diese Aufgabe erfüllen die Kälteakkus nur dann optimal, wenn sie in der
obersten Schublade vorne oben auf dem Gefriergut eingelegt werden.
Die Kälteakkus können Sie vorübergehend auch als Kühlelement für Kühltaschen verwenden.

FROSTMATIC-Taste

Die FROSTMATIC-Funktion beschleunigt das Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel
und schützt gleichzeitig die bereits eingelagerte Ware vor unerwünschter
Erwärmung.
Durch Drücken der Taste FROSTMATIC wird die FROSTMATIC-Funktion eingeschaltet. Die gelbe Anzeige leuchtet (M).
Wird die FROSTMATIC-Funktion nicht manuell beendet, schaltet die Elektronik des Gerätes die FROSTMATIC-Funktion nach 24 Stunden ab. Die gelbe Anzeige erlischt.
Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste FROSTMATIC kann die FROSTMATICFunktion jederzeit manuell beendet werden. Die gelbe Anzeige erlischt.
Taste ALARM OFF
Im Falle eines ungewöhnlichen Temperaturanstieges im Gefrierraum (z.B. bei
Stromausfall) blinkt die rote Warnanzeige (O) und ein Warnton ertönt. Der
Warnton schaltet automatisch ab, wenn die eingestellte Gefrierraumtemperatur wieder erreicht wird. Die rote Warnanzeige blinkt weiter. Mit der
Taste alarm stop können Sie den Warnton und die rote Warnanzeige
abschalten. Auf der Temperaturanzeige erscheint für einige Sekunden die
wärmste Temperatur, die im Gefrierraum erreicht wurde.
Achtung: Bei Erwärmung im Gefrierraum muß der Zustand des Gefriergutes überprüft werden.

Zum Abschalten die Taste ON/OFF ca. 5 Sekunden gedrückt halten. In der
Temperaturanzeige erfolgt ein sogenannter “Count down”, dabei wird
rückwärts von “3” nach “1” gezählt. Mit Erreichen der “1” schaltet der
Gefrieraum ab. Die Temperaturanzeige erlischt.
Hinweis:
Die Einstellung des Geräts kann bei gezogenem Netzstecker oder fehlender
Stromversorgung nicht geändert werden. Nach Anschluß an das Stromnetz
nimmt das Gerät wieder den Zustand an, den es bei Netzunterbrechung hatte.
Soll das Gerät für längere Zeit außer Betrieb genommen werden:
Gefrierfach abschalten, dazu die Taste ON/OFF (I) drücken, bis die Anzeige
(H) erlischt .
Netzstecker ziehen oder Sicherung abschalten bzw. herausdrehen.
Gefrierfach abtauen und Gerät gründlich reinigen (siehe Abschnitt "Reinigung und Pflege").
Türe anschließend geöffnet lassen, um Geruchsbildung zu vermeiden.

Einfrieren und Tiefkühllagern

Im Gefrierraum können Sie Tiefkühlkost lagern und frische Lebensmittel
einfrieren.
Achtung!
•Vor dem Einfrieren von Lebensmitteln muß die Temperatur im Gefrierraum
-18 °C oder kälter sein.
• Bitte das auf dem Typschild angegebene Gefriervermögen beachten. Das
Gefriervermögen ist die maximale Menge an frischer Ware, die innerhalb
von 24 Stunden eingefroren werden kann. Wenn Sie an mehreren Tagen
hintereinander einfrieren, nehmen Sie bitte nur 2/3 bis 3/4 der auf dem
Typschild angegebenen Menge. Sie erreichen eine bessere Qualität, wenn
die Lebensmittel schnell bis zum Kern durchgefroren werden.
• Warme Lebensmittel vor dem Einfrieren abkühlen lassen. Die Wärme führt
zu verstärkter Eisbildung und erhöht den Energieverbrauch.
• Auf die Lagerzeit bzw. auf das Haltbarkeitsdatum von gekauften Tiefkühlprodukten achten
• Einmal aufgetaute Lebensmittel ohne weitere Verarbeitung (garen zu Fertiggerichten) auf keinen Fall ein zweites Mal einfrieren.
• Behälter mit brennbaren Gasen oder Flüssigkeiten können durch Kälteeinwirkung undicht werden. Explosionsgefahr! Lagern Sie keine Behälter mit brennbaren Stoffen, wie z.B. Spraydosen, Feuerzeug-Nachfüllkartuschen etc. im Kältegerät.
• Flaschen und Dosen dürfen nicht in den Gefrierraum. Sie können springen, wenn der Inhalt gefriert - bei kohlensäurehaltigem Inhalt sogar
explodieren! Legen Sie nie Limonaden, Säfte, Bier, Wein, Sekt usw. in den
Gefrierraum. Ausnahme: Hochprozentige Spirituosen können im Gefrierraum gelagert werden.
• Alle Lebensmittel vor dem Einfrieren luftdicht verpacken, damit sie nicht
austrocknen, nicht den Geschmack verlieren und keine Geschmacksübertragung auf anderes Tiefkühlgut erfolgen kann.
Vorsicht! Tiefkühlgut nicht mit nassen Händen berühren. Die Hände könnten daran festfrieren.
Die verpackten Lebensmittel in die obere Schubladen legen. Nicht gefrorene Ware darf bereits gefrorene Ware nicht berühren, die gefrorene
Ware kann sonst antauen.
Tiefkühlgut möglichst nach Art getrennt in die Schubladen legen.

Eiswürfel bereiten

Eiswürfelschale zu 3/4 mit kaltem Wasser füllen, in den Gefrierraum stellen
und gefrieren lassen.
Zum Herauslösen der fertigen Eiswürfel die Eiswürfelschale verwinden oder
kurz unter fließendes Wasser halten.
Achtung! Eine eventuell angefrorene Eiswürfelschale keinesfalls mit spitzen
oder scharfkantigen Gegenständen ablösen, sonst besteht die Gefahr, daß
der Kältekreislauf beschädigt wird. Verwenden Sie den beiliegenden Kunststoffschaber.
Gefrierkalender
• Die Symbole auf den Schubladen zeigen unterschiedliche Arten von
Tiefkühlgut.
• Die Zahlen geben für die jeweilige
Art von Tiefkühlgut die Lagerzeit in
Monaten an. Ob der obere oder der
untere Wert der angegebenen
Lagerzeiten gültig ist, hängt von
der Qualität der Lebensmittel und
deren Vorbehandlung vor dem Einfrieren ab. Für Lebensmittel mit
hohem Fettanteil gilt immer der
untere Wert.
Abtauen
Kühlraum
Das Abtauen des Kühlraums erfolgt automatisch durch eine elektrische Abtauheizung am nicht sichtbaren Verdampfer.
Während der Abtauphase ist der Umluftventilator ausgeschaltet.
Das entstehende Tauwasser fließt in eine Schale am Kompressor und
verdunstet. Die Schale darf nicht entfernt werden.
Gefrierraum
Im Gefrierraum schlägt sich während des Betriebs und beim Öffnen der Tür
Feuchtigkeit als Reif nieder. Entfernen Sie diesen Reif von Zeit zu Zeit mit
dem beiliegenden Kunststoffschaber.
Starke Reifbildung im Gefrierraum erhöht den Energieverbrauch.
Deshalb soll abgetaut werden, wenn die Reifsicht eine Dicke von ca.
4 Millimeter erreicht hat; mindestens jedoch einmal im Jahr. Ein

geeigneter Zeitpunkt zum Abtauen ist auch immer dann, wenn das
Gerät leer oder nur wenig beladen ist Um ein vollständiges Abtauen

Verwenden Sie keine elektrischen Heiz-oder Wärmegeräte und keine anderen mechanischen oder künstlichen Hilfsmittel, um den Abtauvorgang zu
beschleunigen, mit Ausnahme der in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung empfohlenen. Ein Temperaturanstieg der Tiefkühlkost während des Abtauens könnte die Aufbewahrungsdauer verkürzen.

Aus hygienischen Gründen sollte das Geräteinnere, einschließlich Innenausstattung, regelmäßig gereinigt werden.
Warnung!
• Das Gerät darf während der Reinigung nicht am Stromnetz angeschlossen sein. Stromschlaggefahr! Vor Reinigungsarbeiten Gerät abschalten
und Netzstecker ziehen oder Sicherung abschalten bzw. herausdrehen.
• Das Gerät nie mit Dampfreinigungsgeräten reinigen. Feuchtigkeit könnte
in elektrische Bauteile gelangen, Stromschlaggefahr! Heißer Dampf kann
zu Schäden an Kunststoffteilen führen.
• Das Gerät muß trocken sein, bevor Sie es wieder in Betrieb nehmen.
Achtung!
• Ätherische Öle und organische Lösungsmittel können Kunststoffteile
angreifen, z. B.
– Saft von Zitronen- oder Apfelsinenschalen;
– Buttersäure;
– Reinigungsmittel, die Essigsäure enthalten.
Solche Substanzen nicht mit den Geräteteilen in Kontakt bringen.
• Keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden.
Tiefkühlgut herausnehmen. Tiefkühlgut in mehrere Lagen Zeitungspapier
einpacken. Alles abgedeckt an einem kühlen Ort lagern.
Gefrierraum vor dem Reinigen abtauen (siehe Abschnitt "Abtauen").
Gerät einschließlich Innenausstattung mit einem Lappen und lauwarmem
Wasser reinigen. Eventuell etwas handelsübliches Geschirrspülmittel beigeben.
Anschließend mit klarem Wasser nachwischen und trockenreiben.
Staubablagerungen am Verflüssiger erhöhen den Energieverbrauch. Deshalb
einmal im Jahr den Verflüssiger an der Geräterückseite mit einer weichen
Bürste oder mit dem Staubsauger vorsichtig reinigen.
Nachdem alles trocken ist, Lebensmittel wieder einlagern und Gerät wieder
in Betrieb nehmen.
Die untere Abstellfläche, die das Kühlabteil vom 0°C-Fach trennt, kann
zur Reinigung entnommen werden. Hierzu die Platte gerade herausziehen.
Die Abdeckungen über den Schubladen können zum Reinigen entnommen werden. Zur Sicherstellung der Funktion im 0°C-Kaltraum
müssen diese nach der Reinigung unbedingt wieder an ihrem Platz
eingelegt werden.

Tips zur Energie-Einsparung
• Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Herden, Heizkörpern oder anderen Wärmequellen aufstellen. Bei hoher Umgebungstemperatur läuft der Kompressor häufiger und länger.
• Ausreichende Be- und Entlüftung des Gerätes gewährleisten. Lüftungsöffnungen niemals abdecken.
• Keine warmen Speisen in das Gerät stellen. Warme Speisen erst abkühlen
lassen.
• Tür nur so lange wie nötig geöffnet lassen.
• Die Temperatur nicht kälter als nötig einstellen.
• Den Verflüssiger, das Metallgitter an der Geräterückseite, immer sauber
halten.
Was tun, wenn ...
Abhilfe bei Störungen
Möglicherweise handelt es sich bei einer Störung nur um einen kleinen Fehler, den Sie anhand nachfolgender Hinweise selbst beheben können. Führen
Sie keine weiteren Arbeiten selbst aus, wenn nachstehende Informationen
im konkreten Fall nicht weiterhelfen.
Warnung! Reparaturen am Kältegerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche

Das Kältegerät ist für den Haushalt bestimmt und wurde unter Beachtung
der für diese Geräte geltenden Normen hergestellt.
Bei der Fertigung wurden insbesondere die nach dem Gerätesicherheitsgesetz
(GSG), der Unfallverhütungsvorschrift für Kälteanlagen (VBG 20) und den
Bestimmungen des Verbandes Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE) notwendigen
Maßnahmen getroffen. Der Kältekreislauf wurde auf Dichtheit geprüft.
