Allgemeines
Kernstück der Steuerung sind zwei leistungsfähige Slot-CPU-Karten, die über eine schnelle
PCI to PCI-Bridge miteinander kommunizieren. Dabei ist eine CPU nur für den
Steuerungskern (NC-Rechner) und der andere für die Bedienoberfläche (HMI-Rechner)
zuständig.
Die Steuerung ist in zwei Varianten mit unterschiedlichen CPU Typen erhältlich.

Die FS-97A Full-Size PICMG Slot-CPU-Karte wurde für Intel® Pentium® M und Celeron® M
Prozessoren (Socket 479) entwickelt und bietet neben einem Front Side Bus von 400 MHz
und bis zu 2 GB DDR SDRAM ausreichend Performance für hohe Anforderungen. Weiterhin
sind alle notwendigen Schnittstellen für die gesamte Peripherie vorhanden.
