FACTORY START
So starten die Werksfahrer! Der Factory Start wird direkt auf der Gabel montiert. Vor dem Start wird die Gabel eingetaucht und an
der gewünschten Stelle fixiert, um den Schwerpunkt nach vorne zu verlagern. Somit wird beim Starten das Steigen des Vorderrades
weitgehend verhindert, was für mehr Traktion sorgt und dir vielleicht den einen oder anderen Holeshot sichert. Beim ersten Eintauchen wird die Fixierung wieder gelöst und die Gabel automatisch wieder freigegeben. Mit zusätzlicher Gabelschutzverstärkung zur
stabileren Befestigung an der Gabelfaust (nur SXS.13.540.100).
FACTORY START
This is how the factory riders start! The factory start is mounted directly on the fork. Before the start, the fork is dipped and
fixed in the desired position to shift the centre of gravity forwards. This to a large extent prevents the front wheel from lifting at
the start, thus providing greater traction and perhaps securing you the odd holeshot or two. The first time the fork dips, the fixing
is slackened and the fork released automatically. With additional fork protector reinforcement for more stable attachment to the
fork stub (SXS.13.540.100 only).

Die SXS Federbeinumlenkung ist das Resultat einer sehr erfolgreichen Teamarbeit zwischen den
KTM Werksfahrern und den Spezialisten der Entwicklungsabteilung der KTM PowerParts und verfügt
über folgende Eigenschaften:
– CNC-gefräst aus hochfestem Aluminium

Nicht nur der optische Unterschied der SXS Federbeinumlenkung sticht hier hervor, sondern auch
die folgenden Vorteile:
– Straffere Abstimmung über den gesamten Federweg

The SXS shock absorber linkage is the result of very successful teamwork between KTM factory riders and
the specialists in the Development department at KTM PowerParts and has the following properties:
– CNC-machined from high-strength aluminium

It’s not only the visible difference in the SXS shock absorber linkage that stands out clearly; it also provides
the following benefits:
– Tauter tuning throughout the entire suspension travel
– Unchanged suspension travel (measured at shock absorber)

Die Werksgabelbrücke hat zusätzliche Vorteile, nämlich:
– Nach dem Eloxieren gespindelte Gabelklemmung: Dieser Bearbeitungsvorgang erhöht, bei
gleichbleibendem Anzugsdrehmoment, die Reibung zwischen der Gabelbrücke und den Gabelrohren, was ein Verdrehen der Gabelrohre in der Gabelbrücke weitgehend verhindert.
– Die spezielle Aufnahme des Gabelschaftrohres unterstützt diese Eigenschaft noch zusätzlich.
– Supereinfache Versatzverstellung: Demontage von Vorderrad und Gabel ist nicht erforderlich!
The factory triple clamp has the additional benefits of:
– Fork clamping spindled after anodising: With the same tightening torque, this operation
increases the friction between triple clamp and fork tubes, thus practically preventing
the fork tubes from twisting in the triple clamp.
– The special steering stem bracket provides additional support for this feature.
– Ultra-easy offset adjustment: dismantling of front wheel and fork is not necessary!
Der Gabelbrücken-Versatz ist die Distanz der horizontalen Mittellinie beider Gabelholme bis zur
Mitte der Lenkachse, um die die Gabelholme gegenüber der Lenkachse versetzt sind (bezeichnet
als Maß „X“). Durch die Markierung auf der Gabelbrücke ist der eingestellte Versatz auf einen
Blick ersichtlich.
Versatz-Einstellmöglichkeiten:
– Kürzerer Versatz: Stabilität auf schnellen Geraden
– Längerer Versatz: einfacheres und schnelleres Einlenken in Kurven
The triple clamp offset is the distance between the horizontal centre line of both fork
tubes and the centre of the steering axis, by which the fork tubes are offset from the steering axis (referred to as dimension “X”). The selected offset can be seen at a glance thanks
to the marking on the triple clamp.
Offset setting options:
– Shorter offset: stability on fast straights
– Longer offset: simpler and swifter steering into corners

Die SXS Zylinderköpfe mit variablem Brennraum sind ein Muss für jeden Racer. Die verwendeten
Aluminiumlegierungen und optimierten Brennraumformen sorgen für eine optimale Wärmeabgabe.
Das wirkt sich positiv auf eine ideale Leistungsabgabe aus und verringert den Materialverschleiß von
Brennraum und Kolben wesentlich. Ein erneuern des gesamten Kopfes ist ab sofort nicht mehr notwendig, einfach neuen Brennraumeinsatz rein und weiter geht’s. Zur weiteren Performance-Steigerung
deines Motorrades empfehlen wir eine Kombination der SXS Zylinderköpfe mit folgenden Teilen:
– SXS Zündkerze
– SXS Digitalbox
– Werksauspuffanlage
The SXS cylinder heads with variable combustion chamber are a must for every racer. The aluminium
alloys and optimised combustion chamber shapes employed ensure the best possible heat dissipation.
This has a positive effect on power delivery and reduces material wear in the combustion chamber and
on the piston. Replacement of the whole head is now no longer necessary – simply put in a new combustion chamber insert and off you go again. To increase the performance of your bike even further, we
recommend combining SXS cylinder heads with the following parts:
– SXS spark plug
– SXS CDI unit
– Factory exhaust system
WICHTIG:
Die Vergaserbedüsung ist dem gewählten Brennraumeinsatz und deinem Fahrzeugmodelljahr entsprechend anzupassen (z. B. gewählter Brennraumeinsatz = Typ Motocross, Fahrzeug = 250 EXC MJ 09
zu wählende Vergaserbedüsung = 250 SX MJ 09). Vergaserbedüsungen zwischen 250er und 300er
Modelle sind ident! Bei Verwendung des Brennraumeinsatzes „EXTREM“ muss immer die SX Vergaserbedüsung deines Fahrzeugmodelljahres gewählt werden. Genaue Auskunft über die Vergaserbedüsung
erhältst du bei deinem Fachhändler.
IMPORTANT:
The carburettor jets must be matched with the selected combustion chamber insert and the model year
of your vehicle (e.g. selected combustion chamber insert = type Motocross, vehicle = 250 EXC MY 09
appropriate carburettor jets = 250 SX MY 09). Carburettor jets on 250 cc and 300 cc models are
identical! When using the “EXTREME” combustion chamber insert, the SX carburettor jets of your
vehicle model year must always be selected. Detailed information about carburettor jets is available
from your KTM dealer.

Dieser Brennraumeinsatz wird aus einer speziell dafür
entwickelten Legierung gefertigt. Die hervorragende Leit
fähigkeit dieser Legierung steigert die Leistungsfähigkeit
deines Motors in extremen Bedienungen, speziell dann
wenn dein Motor Höchstleistungen vollbringen muss.
(z. B. bei hohen Außentemperaturen, sandigen Strecken
verhältnissen oder anderen Extremsituationen).
SXS CYLINDER HEAD COMBUSTION CHAMBER EXTREME
The combustion chamber insert is made from an alloy developed specially for this purpose. The excellent conductivity of
this alloy increases the capability of your engine in extreme
conditions, particularly when it needs to deliver maximum
performance (e.g. in high temperatures, sandy track conditions or other extreme situations).

Wir empfehlen, die SXS Zündkerze beim Verbau von leistungssteigernden Teilen
wie SXS Zylinderköpfen, Werksauspuffsystemen oder der SXS Digitalbox zu verwenden.
SXS SPARK PLUG
Ever had to cut short a training session or a race due to a faulty spark plug? This will
never happen again with the extremely robust SXS spark plug and its special properties:
– Iridium centre electrode tip
– Reinforced earth electrode (against vibration and breakage)
– Special design with improved anti-rusting properties
We recommend use of the SXS spark plug when fitting power-boosting parts, such as
SXS cylinder heads, factory exhaust systems or the SXS CDI unit.
SXS DIGITALBOX
Die Zündkurve der SXS Digitalbox ist speziell abgestimmt auf
die Verwendung von mindestens 98 Oktan Kraftstoff.
Die Vorteile:
– Höhere Spitzenleistung
– Höhere Drehzahl
– Bestmögliche Performance
Wir empfehlen in Kombination dazu die Verwendung eines Werksauspuffsystems und die
SXS Zündkerze. Die Verwendung der SXS Digitalbox auf 125 EXC ist nur in Verbindung mit einem
Werksauspuffsystem sinnvoll.

The ignition curve of the SXS CDI unit is specially tuned to the use of fuel with at least 98 octane.
The benefits:
– Higher peak power
– Higher revs
– Best possible performance
We recommend use in combination with a factory exhaust system and the SXS spark plug.
Use of the SXS CDI unit on the 125 EXC is only practical in combination with a factory exhaust system.

TWINWALL RENTHAL LENKER
Der Twinwall, im KTM-orangen Design, das sind zwei Lenker in einem: Ein äußerer gewährleistet
maximale Festigkeit gegen Beschädigungen von außen (z. B. Sturz) und ist gegen Korrosion
zusätzlich harteloxiert. Der innere aus einer Speziallegierung ist ebenfalls harteloxiert, um ihn
vor Beschädigungen durch die Lenkerarmaturen zu schützen. Gummidichtungen an den Übergangsstellen der beiden verhindern das Eindringen von Wasser, Schmutz, Reinigungsmitteln
sowie anderen Verunreinigungen. Wird mit Lenkerpolster geliefert.
TWINWALL RENTHAL HANDLEBAR
The TwinWall in the KTM orange design is two handlebars in one: the outer bar ensures maximum
resistance to external damage (e.g. crash) and is also hard-anodised to protect against corrosion.
The inner is made from a special alloy and also hard-anodised to protect it from damage by the
handlebar fittings. Rubber seals at the transition points between the two prevent penetration of
water, dirt, cleaning agents or any other contaminants. Supplied with bar pads.
