Ci attende un’estate di sfide, in cui la concorrenza nel mondo turistico sarà sempre
più dura e selettiva. Una grande preoccupazione per per tutti gli Amministratori Pubblici
che si occupano di turismo. Sfide che, al di là delle regole generali e basilari dell’accoglienza in un mondo sempre più tecnologico e filtrato da messaggi diversi e nuovi,
vedranno emergere sempre più le realtà territoriali dotate maggiormente di „identità
plurale“. Credo che sia una dimensione, quest’ultima, nella quale la nostra città ha molto
da offrire; i prodotti turistici elaborati per la prossima estate consentono di abbinare le
grandi proposte culturali estive con numerosi pacchetti per conoscere Bolzano e dintorni. Gli ospiti potranno confezionare il loro soggiorno in modo modulare e semplice
attingendo alle proposte dell’Azienda di Soggiorno, e vivranno momenti inediti in un
ambiente genuino, autentico e legato al nostro meraviglioso territorio.

Der kommende Sommer wird für uns eine große Herausforderung. Der Wind auf

den nächsten Monaten abläuft, bestätigt dies. Der Bozner Kultursommer mit Jazz, moderner und klassischer Musik und Tanz. Die zahlreichen, von unserem Verkehrsamt auf
die unterschiedlichsten Bedürfnisse maßgeschneiderten Angebote, die von Bozen aus
in die nähere Umgebung führen. Die Möglichkeit, große Kultur und Folklore, Savoir Vivre
und Momente, die Ausdruck unserer einzigartigen und wunderschönen Landschaft und
unseres ganz besonderen Lebensambientes sind, zu genießen. Ich wünsche all jenen,
die im Bereich Tourismus tätig sind und vor allem natürlich unseren Gästen einen unvergesslichen und schönen Sommer.

of matching supply and demand, of constantly launching new initiatives which on the
one hand reflect local realities but which on the other hand also reflect modern trends
in tourism. Variety is called for, and I believe Bolzano has quite a lot to offer. Just take a
glance at what’s on over the coming months: jazz, dance, modern and classical music
festivals, the extremely-varied programme of our tourist office, not only in the town itself,
but also into the surroundings, all giving you the opportunity to sample culture, traditions
and our very special savoir-vivre amidst our wonderful landscape. I wish all who
work in the tourist sector and of course our many visitors a great summer.

Attraversando
il Latemar
Da lontano le cime bianche delle Dolomiti sembrano inaccessibili, mondi
lontani fatti di roccia e cielo. Ma uno sguardo sulla carta rivela una fitta
rete di sentieri che percorrono i versanti zigzagando tra guglie e valloni e
che regalano anche ai semplici escursionisti, la gioia della vetta.

Lo sforzo vale comunque la pena,
arrivati in cima alla forcella
si gode di un panorama mozzafiato
sulle Lasté di Valsorda e sulla Val di Fiemme,
nonché sul gruppo del Sella e sulla Marmolada,
la Regina delle Dolomiti.

Uno di questi sentieri parte da Obereggen a pochi
chilometri da Bolzano e ci porta nel cuore del Latemar,
una delle catene montuose più suggestive delle Dolomiti.
A seconda della propria condizione si può scegliere se partire direttamente a piedi da Obereggen o se
usare la seggiovia che porta fino a quota 2.170, oltrepassando boschi di larici, malghe e masi. Ogni metro
percorso apre scorci sempre nuovi sui paesini del fondovalle e sulle imponenti montagne che da est si estendono fino alla Svizzera e all’Austria.

Einer dieser Wege in Laurins Reich startet nur we-

From afar the jagged peaks of the Dolomites may seem to be inaccessible to all bar the most intrepid climber, but a closer inspection of hiking
maps reveals a network of waymarked paths that criss-cross these ranges, enabling the sure-footed walker to experience the magic of the Dolomites from close up.

One such path is just a stone’s throw from Bolzano,

for a well-deserved rest and something to eat before we
move on, descending first on path 516 as far as the Satteljoch pass, then turning right on path 22, waymarked
Obereggen. We can now choose whether to make for
the chairlift again (path 22), or to walk down through the
flower-strewn meadows to Obereggen (path 23A) via
the Mayrl Alm or the Eppircher Laner Alm. Flower-lovers
will be amazed at the flora here, especially in early summer, so make sure you have your camera ready
to round off an unforgettable day!

La montagna è la sua passione. Pratica l’arrampicata sportiva, lo scialpinismo e
l’alpinismo. Ma non si ferma lì. Fabiano Ventura è un fotografo professionista e

The mountains are his passion. He goes climbing, he does ski-tours and goes
hiking. But that’s not all. Fabiano Ventura is a professional photographer and
through his work he tries to raise awareness among the general public of the
importance of environmental issues and sustainable development.
Ventura founded Macromicro, a no-profit association, and

initiated the project „On the trail of the glaciers“, a multidisciplinary project juxtaposing historical photographs of
glaciers with new ones taken from the same spot and at
the same time of the year in order to highlight the effects
that climate change is having on the planet’s biggest
glaciers.
bm: The glacier project is very much a long-term one...
Fabiano Ventura: Yes, in fact the first expedition in
2009 took us to the Karakorum, in the Himilayas, in
2011 it was the turn of the Caucasus, and now I’m
finalising the preparations for the next expedition,
which this summer will take us to Alaska. Then it will
be the turn of the Andes in 2015, The year 2017 sees
us again in the Himilayas and finally in 2019 we’ll be in
the Alps.
bm: You are originally from Rome – how come you
became interested in mountains?
Fabiano Ventura: Until the age of 24, my big passion was astronomy. I sought out clear night skies,
without light pollution, and that’s how I got to know the

Die Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff,
eine einzigartige Erlebniswelt zwischen

Eine besonders phantasievolle Perspektive auf
die Welt der Pflanzen zeigt die „Botanische
Unterwelt“, die tief im Fels Schaurig-skurriles aus der Sicht von Wurzel und Knolle
berichtet. Das Landesmuseum für Tourismusgeschichte im Schloss, Touriseum, feiert 2013
seinen 10. Geburtstag. Die Sonderausstellung
Urlaub/Vacanze 2.0 fragt sich, wohin die rasanten Entwicklungen des Tourismus der letzten
10 Jahre wohl hinführt. In neuem Glanz
erstrahlen einige der Schlossräume: Illustre
Bewohner von Schloss Trauttmansdorff, darunter Kaiserin Sissi, erzählen von sich.
Das besondere Gartenerlebnis erlauben die
Veranstaltungen in den Sommermonaten:
Beim „Frühstück bei Sissi“ genießen die
Gartengäste einen ausgiebigen Brunch auf der
berühmten Sissi-Terasse. Das italienweit etablierte World Music Festival „Gartennächte“
bringt wieder hochkarätige Weltmusik auf die
Bühne im Seerosenteich und lässt die Nacht
zum Tag werden.
Sinnlich wird es bei „Trauttmansdorff nach
Feierabend“: Führungen im milden Abendlicht,
kulinarische Highlights im Restaurant Schlossgarten und ein gepflegter Aperitivo Lungo mit
junger Südtiroler Live-Musik am Seerosenteich
machen die Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff unvergesslich.

I Giardini di Castel Trauttmansdorff, uno straordinario intreccio di esperienze, tra natura,
cultura e arte, incantano ogni stagione circa
400.000 visitatori. Divulgando conoscenze e
sapere in modo informativo e istruttivo, ma al
tempo stesso divertente, la struttura presenta
da una moltitudine di prospettive diverse una
grande varietà di ambienti botanici variopinti.
E proprio grazie alla loro qualità, bellezza,
varietà e al loro spirito innovativo i Giardini
si sono guadagnati nel 2013 il riconoscimento di “Giardino Internazionale dell’Anno“.
Una prospettiva decisamente fantasiosa sul
regno vegetale è proposta dal Regno Sotterraneo delle Piante, che ne racconta il lato più
inquietante o stravagante osservato dal punto
di vista di radici e tuberi. Il Museo Provinciale
del Turismo, che ha sede nel castello, presenta
la mostra temporanea Urlaub/Vacanze 2.0 che
cerca di dare una risposta alla domanda su
dove condurrà l’impressionante evoluzione del
turismo. Alcune stanze del castello si mostrano
in tutto il loro splendore, svelando come mai
prima d’ora emozioni e curiosità riguardanti
gli illustri inquilini di Castel Trauttmansdorff.

manifestazioni proposte dai Giardini nel corso
dei mesi estivi: la “Colazione da Sissi“, durante la quale i visitatori dei Giardini potranno
gustare un’abbondante colazione sulla famosa
Terrazza di Sissi. Il World Music Festival “Serate
ai Giardini“, apprezzato in tutta Italia, che riporterà a esibirsi sul palco del Laghetto delle
Ninfee grandi star della musica internazionale.
Il “Trauttmansdorff di Sera“, un appuntamento che risveglia tutti i sensi: visite guidate
speciali alla tenue luce della sera, menu prelibati presso il ristorante Schlossgarten e un
