Oktoberfest este cel mai mare
eveniment outdoor din România, sărbătoarea distracției

La inițiativa consilierului municipal Christian Macedonschi, sub acronimul ușor de
reținut „ECBBB“ - Exportclub București
Brașov Bayern, începând din 4 septembrie va fi înființat noul Club de Export cu
rolul de a sprijini firmele românești în
promovarea pentru publicul larg în spațiul
de limbă germană. Ca partener german,
Christian Macedonschi, care are și aici
contacte excelente, a câștigat încrederea
Clubului de Export Bavarez, înființat în
1947, care le va fi alături tuturor membrilor
cu experiența sa îndelungată.

- Exportclub Bucuresti Brasov Bayern“ soll
ab 04. September ein auf Initiative von
Stadtradt Christian Macedonschi neu gegründeter Exportclub rumänische Firmen
dabei unterstützen, ihre Produkte auch
im deutschsprachigen Raum einer breiten
Öffentlichkeit bekannt zu machen. Als
deutschen Partner konnte Macedonschi,
der auch in Deutschland über ausgezeichnete Kontakte verfügt, den 1947 gegründeten Bayrischen Exportclub gewinnen, der
allen Mitgliedern mit seiner langjährigen
Erfahrung zur Seite stehen wird.

Macedonschi, the new Export Club will be
established starting with 04. 09., under
the acronym “ECBBB”, translated as The
Bucharest-Brașov-Bayern Export Club. The
entity will support Romanian SMEs in their
attempt to open new markets in the large
German-speaking area. As a partner in Germany with an excellent network of contacts
in RFG, Christian Macedonschi has caught
the attention of the Bavarian Export Club,
established in 1947, who will support the
other members in terms of expertise.

brașovean Silviu Urdea, are dovada
oficială că se numără printre cei mai
puternici bărbați din România: tânărul
de 23 de ani, care ridică greutăți de

Cine părăsește centrul istoric prin Poarta
Schei, ajunge după câțiva pași în pitorescul cartier cu același nume. Aici, în
timpul secolelor în care cetatea a fost
cârmuită de sași, s-au stabilit majoritatea românilor, cărora le era interzisă
deținerea de case în cetate. Astăzi Biserica
Sf. Nicolae și ulițele strâmte mărginite
de căsuțe pitorești, î-l poartă pe vizitator
înapoi în timp.
DAS SCHEI-VIERTEL
Verlässt man die Altstadt durch das
Schei-Tor erreicht man den pittoresken
Stadtteil Schei. Hier siedelten sich
während der Sachsenherrschaft Rumänen
an, denen es verboten war, innerhalb der
Stadtmauern Grund zu besitzen. Heute
versetzen die St. Nikolaus-Kirche und
kleine Häuser entlang enger Gässchen
den staunenden Besucher zurück in eine
lange vergangene Zeit.

1 BISERICA NEAGRĂ
Cea mai mare construcție înălțată în Evul
Mediu în Brașov, pe parcursul a circa
100 de ani, este Biserica Neagră. Numele
așezământului de cult se datorează unui
incendiu cu cauze neelucidate pe deplin,
care a avut loc în timpul staționării în
oraș a trupelor imperiale în primăvara
anului 1689. Astăzi, interiorul impresionant adăpostește pe lângă cea mai mare
colecție europeană de covoare orientale, o
foarte mare orgă mecanică și cel mai mare
clopot mobil din România.

Das größte Bauwerk, das die Siebenbürger
Sachsen in über 100 jähriger Bauzeit
geschaffen haben, brannte 1689 nieder.
Heute beherbergt der vor allem innen
beeindruckende Bau neben der größten
europäischen Sammlung orientalischer
Teppiche eine riesige mechanische Orgel
und eine sechs Tonnen schwere Glocke.

The Black Church, the highest construction built in the Middle Age, throughout
100 years burnt down in 1689. Today, the
impressive interior houses a large mechanical harmonium, the biggest mobile bell
in Romania and the biggest collection of
oriental carpets.

Leaving the historical centre through the
“Schei” Gate you reach the pittoresque
Schei neighbourhood. Throughout the
„Saxon“ period Schei was inhabited by
Romanians who were not allowed to own
a house inside the citadel. Today, travel
back in time by walking along the narrow
streets, passing by charming old houses
and the “St. Nicholas” Church.

De nicăieri orașul nu poate fi contemplat
atât de bine ca de pe micuța platformă
de pe Tâmpa, aflată chiar lângă inscripția
cu numele orașului. Este o excursie ce
merită pe deplin osteneala, pentru că cine
a privit odată cetatea din perspectiva unei
păsări nu va mai uita niciodată imaginea.

De la stația de autobuze Livada Postei,
autobuzul cu numărul de linie 20 î-l duce
pe călător în mai puțin de jumătate de oră
în mijlocul uneia dintre cele mai frumoase
stațiuni de drumeție și schi din România:
Poiana Brașov. Chiar dacă natura a avut
de suferit greu în ultimii ani de pe urma
construcțiilor, stațiunea cu numele german de “Schulerau”, rămâne o destinație
ce trebuie văzută.
Cea ce a început în 2009 ca miniversiune
a Oktoberfest-ului münchenez, a devenit
în tot acest timp un eveniment puternic,
original și de sine stătător. Ultima ediție
a fost vizitată de aproape 300.000 de persoane, la care alături de trupe muzicale,
de dans și divertisment românești au
evoluat și nume germane cunoscute ca
“Alpbach-Express” sau “Wiesnschurli”.

Von der Station Livada Postei bringt Bus
Nr 20 den Besucher in 30 Minuten in eines

Chiar dacă situarea lângă principala arteră de tranzit
prin oraș, nu pare ideală pentru un hotel, Armatti face
să dispară acest dezavantaj prin serviciile oferite.
Încăperile spațioase, amenajate modern, dispun de
geamuri antifonate, un minibar, fierbător pentru apă
și WLAN free iar automobiliștii au la dispoziție parcări
gratuite. La toate obiectivele importante din centrul
orașului se poate ajunge pe jos. Prețurile pentru o
cameră dublă cu bufet la micul dejun încep în hotelul
cotat pe booking.com cu „excelent“ de la 80 de euro.
Dovada că prin forțe proprii, ceea ce este bun se poate face și mai bun, o oferă ”Casa Tudor”, situată puțin
în afara centrului istoric. Pe lângă interiorul reamenajat cu multă dragoste în cursul renovării complete
a clădirii, aici cea ce convinge este bucătăria și
serviciile: mâncărurile tradiționale românești, dintre
care multe pot fi servite la cerere și fără carne au fost
și ele adaptate gusturilor de azi. Toate ingredientele
sunt proaspete și provin în cea mai mare parte din
producția proprie. Iar personalul atent și binevoitor
te convinge că ești oricând un oaspete bine venit.
Chiar dacă ilustrata a fost înlocuită de mult de SMS
iar telefonul dat acasă din concediul petrecut peste
mări a fost înlocuit de veștile prin whatsapp, la întrebarea ”ce amintire aduc din concediu” a rămas la fel
de actuală. Cel ce caută ceva tipic transilvănean, de
preferință executat manual și la un preț rezonabil, va
găsi cu siguranță ceva în micul magazin din fața Biserici Negre. La „Transylvanian Folk Art“ găsiți de la ouă
încondeiate până la costume populare tradiționale,
ceva cu care puteți face o bucurie celor de acasă.
Cine încă se teme să se aventureze în traficul auto
autohton, are acum posibilitatea să-și arate talentul
de șofer pe o pistă de carting. Pentru toți împătimiții
curselor auto, ”Pista de carting Brașov”, redeschisă în
mai anul acesta, oferă pe circa 2000 de metri, un traseu rapid și complex. Carturile de fabricație germană

Dass man selbst gutes durchaus noch besser
machen kann, beweist die etwas ausserhalb des
Zentrums gelegene „Casa Tudor“. Neben dem im Zuge
einer Komplettrenovierung liebevoll neugestalteten Interieur überzeugen hier vor allem Küche und
Service: Traditionelle rumänische Gerichte, von denen
viele fleischlos erhältlich sind, die frischen Zutaten
stammen zum großen Teil aus eigener Erzeugung und
das ausnehmend aufmerksame Personal gibt einem
immer das Gefühl, ein willkommener Gast zu sein.
Auch wenn die Postkarte längst durch SMS und
der Urlaubsanruf durch Nachrichten ersetzt wurden,
ist die „Was bringe ich mit“-Frage heute aktuell wie
eh und je. Wer etwas typisch siebenbürgisches sucht,
am besten handgemacht und zu einem vertretbaren
Preis, wird bei „Transylvanian Folk Art“ gegenüber
der Schwarzen Kirche Freude haben. Hier findet sich
von bemalten Eiern bis hin zu traditionellen Trachten
alles, worüber sich die Daheimgebliebenen freuen.
Wem der rumänische Autoverkehr zu gefährlich
erscheint, der kann seine Fahrkünste auf einer Kartbahn unter Beweis stellen. Für alle Rennbegeisterten
bietet die „Kartbahn Kronstadt“ 2000 Meter anspruchsvolle Strecke. Die in Deutschland gefertigten
Karts erreichen 60 km/h, nach dem Rennen lädt eine
einzigartig designte Bar zum gemütlichen Ausklang

preferred to calling home while in vacation, one

Those still afraid to venture in traffic can now show
off their driving skills on a karting track. Reopened this
year, Brașov karting track offers a complex 2000 meter
route. The German karts reach up to 60 km/h. After the
race the participants can relax in a uniquely designed

Braun, este președinte al Clubului Economic German, Club care invită începând cu
3 septembrie din nou la Oktoberfest. Best
of Brașov l-a întâlnit cu prilejul târgului
expozițional al Clubului Economic German
„Made in Brașov“.
Cu zece ani în urmă, brașoveanul prin
naștere Werner Braun, a revenit din Germania la Brașov aducând cu el grupul său
Caditec. A fost îndemnat să facă acest pas,
mai ales pentru că de pe atunci Brașovul
dispunea datorită tradiției sale industriale
de forță de lucru bine calificată în tehnologii de vârf. Dar și de costuri scăzute, de
o infrastructură industrială și IT modernă,
care împreună cu marja mare de câștig
din investiție făceau locația interesantă.
Și bineînțeles oportunitatea de a produce
schimbări în vechea patrie. Iar dorința
de a avea un cuvânt de spus a fost ideea
care a stat în spatele înființării Clubului Economic German, la transpunerea
căreia Werner Braun a contribuit decisiv
în 2007. Ca reprezentant al intereselor
firmelor germane în regiunea Brașov,
Clubul urmărește mai ales să poate acorda sprijin. „Fit 4 Future“ se numește de
exemplu ambițiosul program care dorește
să ofer atât investitorilor cât și locuitorilor
Brașovului un viitor sigur. Pentru aceasta,
Clubul se bazează mai ales pe o instruire de calitate, strâns legată de practică.
După înființarea primei școli cu sistem de
pregătire dual, după model german, evenimente informative cum este „Made in
Brașov“, săptămâna de informare școlară
„Fit 4 Future“ sau „Caravana Meseriilor“,
sunt acțiunile prin care tinerii români
sunt atenționați asupra oportunităților pe
care li oferă un loc de muncă la o firmă
internațională. În plus, așa speră Werner
Braun, în acest mod poate fi făcută să nu
plece din țară forța de lucru calificată,
atât de necesară.
Dar o dată pe an, Clubul Economic German invită și la o petrecere, chiar una
foarte mare. Cea ce a început în 2009 ca
manifestare de mici dimensiuni pentru
integrarea ex-pats-ilor stabiliți în regiune, a devenit între timp „Oktoberfest
Kronstadt“, o manifestare cunoscută până
mult dincolo de hotarele României. Și
și anul acesta, Werner Braun va ciocni
acolo cu conducătorii firmelor membre în
Club, pentru succes. Pentru că de succe-
sul repurtat pot fi mândri: când Werner
Braun vorbește de o cifră de afaceri
anuală de aproape două miliarde de euro
cu 15.000 de angajați, atunci se referă la
cele mai mari zece firme din Club. În cea
ce-l privește personal, ne asigură că nu a
regretat nici o clipă venirea în România.
„Orașul“, ne spune în încheiere, „are viitor.
Iar membrii Clubului contribuie din plin la
modernizarea acestuia.“

Best of Brasov hat ihn anlässlich der DWKHausmesse „Made in Brasov“ getroffen.
Vor zehn Jahren, so erzählt der gebürtige
Kronstädter, sei er mit seiner CaditecGruppe von Deutschland nach Rumänien
gekommen. Bewogen hatte ihn dazu vor
allem die Tatsache, dass durch seine
lange Industrietradition über gut ausgebildete Arbeitskräfte im Hightechbereich
verfügte. Aber auch niedrige Kosten,
moderne Industrie- und IT-Infrastruktur
und hohe Investitionsrenditen machten
den Standort interessant. Und natürlich
auch die Möglichkeit, in der alten Heimat
etwas zu verändern. Mitreden zu können
war auch die Idee hinter der Gründung
des Deutschen Wirtschaftsclubs, an der
Braun 2007 maßgeblich beteiligt war. Als
Interessensvertretung deutscher Firmen
im Raum Kronstadt möchte man vor
allem Unterstützung bieten. „Fit 4 Future“
nennt sich beispielsweise ein ehrgeiziges
Programm, das sowohl Investoren als
auch der Kronstädter Bevölkerung eine
sichere Zukunft bieten möchte. Hierbei
setzt der Club vor allem auf praxisnahe, qualitative Ausbildung. Neben der
erfolgreichen Gründung der ersten dualen
Schule nach deutschem Vorbild sind es
Informationsveranstaltungen wie „Made in
Brasov“, die Berufsinformationswoche „Fit
for Future“ oder die „Karavana Meseriilor“,
bei welchen rumänische Jugendliche die
Möglichkeiten sehen, die ihnen ein Job
bei einem internationalen Unternehmen
bringt. Zusätzlich könne man damit, so
hofft Braun, die unbedingt benötigten
Fachkräfte im Land halten.
Einmal jährlich lädt der DWK zur großen
Feier. Was 2009 als kleine Veranstaltung
zur Integration von Ex-Pats begonnen
hat, ist mittlerweile als „Oktoberfest
Kronstadt“ weit über die Landesgrenzen
Rumäniens hinaus bekannt. Auch heuer
wird Braun wieder mit den Chefs der Mitgliedsunternehmen auf deren Erfolg anstossen. Denn der kann sich sehen lassen:

Mitarbeitern erzählt, spricht er dabei nur
von den zehn größten Firmen. Er selbst
jedenfalls hat den Umzug nach Rumänien
keinen Augenblick bereut. „Die Stadt“, so
meint er zum Abschluss, „hat Zukunft. Und
unsere Mitglieder gestalten sie mit.“

Ten years ago, Werner Braun, born in
Brașov, returned to his hometown from
Germany, bringing his Caditec Group to
Romania. What determined him to make
this move was the fact that Brașov provided well-qualified work force, due to the
industrial tradition of the town. Low costs,
a modern industrial and IT infrastructure
as well as the high possibility to make a
profitable investment also made the location interesting. And, nonetheless, he had
the opportunity to create change in his
home country. Thus, the desire to create
remarkable results generated the idea
to establish a German Economic Club, in
which Werner Braun had a decisive contribution in 2007. As a representative of the
German companies in the Brașov region,
the Club wants to provide necessary support. The ambitious “Fit 4 Future” program
for example aims to provide a safer future
both for the investors and for the citizens
of Brașov. In order to accomplish this goal,
the Club especially relies on qualitative
education in relation to practical skills.
After establishing the first school with
a dual educational system, according to
the German model, the Club successfully
implemented informative events such as
“Made in Brașov”, the “Fit 4 Future” week
in schools or the “Caravan of Professions”
in order to raise awareness among the
Romanian youth regarding the opportunities they would have as employees of
an international company. Moreover, as
Werner Braun hopes, this efforts might
determine qualified workers to stay in
Romania where they are needed.
Once a year, the German Economic Club
invites to a party. First organized in 2009
at a smaller scale aiming to integrate
the ex-pats in the larger community
the “Oktoberfest Brașov” has become
a well-known festival, even outside the
Romanian boarders. This year, just like
the others, Werner Braun will be present
alongside the managers of the member
companies, celebrating the success, which
is something they can be proud of. When
Werner Braun mentions an annual turnover of almost 2 billion euros with 15.000
employees, he is referring to the largest
ten companies in the Club. On the other
hand, personally, Werner Braun makes us
sure that has never regretted coming back
to Romania. “The town”, he finally says,
“has a future. And the members of the
Club are actively involved in the modernization of Brașov.”

Pentru anul 2021, cele două state membre care au dreptul de a găzdui acţiunea
“Capitală europeană a culturii” sunt
România şi Grecia. Brașovul este oraș
candidat cu șanse foarte mari pentru
câștigarea titlului.Suntem prin excelență
un loc al multiculturalității. Orașul a fost
fondat de coloniștii sași, având trei suburbii în afara zidurilor „Cetăţii”, „una locuită
de români, cealaltă de maghiari şi a treia
de ţărani saşi”, după cum arăta umanistul
și reformatorul sas, Johannes Honterus,
la mijlocul secolului al XVI-lea. Principalul
ambasador și lobbyist al Brașovului este
super starul rock german Peter Maffay,
brașovean de origine.

Târgul de informare Made in Braşov este
organizat de Clubul Economic German
Brașov (DWK). Scopul acestui eveniment
este, pe de o parte, de a atrage atenția
numeroșilor vizitatori care ajung la
Brașov cu ocazia festivalului Oktoberfest
asupra potențialului economic al acestei
regiuni și de a promova astfel imaginea
Brașovului și ca cetate tehnologică.Pe
de altă parte, organizatorii doresc prin
acest proiect să arate tinerilor că orașul
s-a dezvoltat foarte mult din punct de
vedere economic și că oferă foarte multe
posibilități de formare profesională. Gama
de produse realizate de firmele brașovene
este foarte variată și cuprinde tehnologii
de vârf în domeniile automotive, aerospace și electronică. Zece companii de
renume vor introduce vizitatorii în lumea
tehnicii: Caditec Automation, Ciucaş, Continental Powertrain, Dräxlmaier Sisteme
Tehnice, ELMAS, Lingemann Beschaffungssysteme, Premium Aerotec, Preh,
Schaeffler şi Stabilus. Printre expozanți se
numără și Universitatea Transilvania care

“O’zapft is!” Oktoberfest Brașov 2015

Chiar dacă originalul are un avans de
199 de ani, “Oktoberfest-ul brașovean”
se numără printre cele mai importante
sărbători transilvănene.
Totul a început cu o nuntă. Când pe
12 octombrie 1810, Prințul moștenitor
Ludwig s-a căsătorit cu Prințesa Therese,
la München au fost organizate în cinstea
cuplului numeroase serbări. Printre ele
și o cursă de cai, la care, lângă tribuna cu
40.000 de locuri, mulțimea vizitatorilor
a fost servită cu vin și bere. La puțini ani
după aceasta, când pe lângă hipodrom
au fost construite cățărători, popicării
și leagăne, locul cunoscut drept “Wiesn”
(Pajiștea) a ajuns la mare căutare iar
sărbătoarea a crescut în amploare. Au
fost instalate carusele, tarabe cu loto, la
care se puteau câștiga piese din poțelan,
argint sau podoabe, toate laolaltă
atrăgând mai ales pe locuitorii mai puțin
înstăriți ai orașului. Din 1819 municipalitatea müncheneză a preluat organizarea,

moment din care sărbătoarea avea să fie
organizată anual, și nu oricum, ci cu stil.
Municipalitatea a probat vânzarea berii,
în tarabe și corturi a fost instalat iluminat
electric iar sărbătoarea a atras un număr
tot mai mare de expozanți și proprietari
de carusel, care au adus astfel până în
ziua de azi, un plus de distracție celor
șase milioane de vizitatori câți petrec la
o ediție.
Când brașoveanul Christian Macedonschi,
care a trăit mulți ani în Bavaria, a avut
în 2009 pentru prima oară ideea de a
îmbina plăcerea autohtonă de a petrece
cu tradiția bavareză, a rămas el însuși
surprins de succesul înregistrat. În decurs
de nouă zile, 100.000 de vizitatori s-au
distrat la “Micul Oktoberfest Brașov”. Între
timp nu mai este vorba demult de ceva
mic, iar la cea de a șasea ediție ”Oktoberfest-ul Brașov” a devenit un eveniment
de anvergură și un magnet de atragere a
turiștilor, cunoscut și apreciat dincolo de
limitele Brașovului.

Begonnen hatte alles mit einer Hochzeit. Als am 12. Oktober 1810 Kronprinz
Ludwig seine Prinzessin Therese heiratete, fanden in München zu Ehren der
beiden zahlreiche Feiern statt. So auch
ein Pferderennen, bei dem neben einer
Tribüne mit 40.000 Plätzen vor allem die
öffentliche Ausschank von Wein und Bier
für Aufsehen und jede Menge Besucher
sorgte. Schon die wenige Jahre später,
mittlerweile waren zur Pferderennbahn
Kletterbäume, Kegelbahnen und Schaukeln hinzugekommen, begann das als
„Wiesn“ bekannt gewordene Fest kräftig zu
wachsen. Karusselle wurden aufgestellt,
Lossstände, bei denen es Porzellan, Silber
und Schmuck zu gewinnen gab, zogen vor
allem die ärmeren Stadtbewohner an und
1819 übernahmen die Münchner Stadt-
väter die Festleitung: Von nun an sollte
jedes Jahr gefeiert werden, und das mit
Stil. Die Stadtverwaltung genehmigte den
Bierverkauf, Buden und Zelte erhielten
elektrisches Licht und das Fest zog immer
mehr Schausteller und Karussellbesitzer
an, die bis heute für zusätzliche Unterhaltung der mittlweile sechs Millionen
Besucher sorgen.
Als der gebürtige Kronstädter Christian
Macedonschi, der viele Jahre in Bayern
gelebte hatte, 2009 erstmals auf die Idee
kam, rumänische Feierlaune mit bayerischer Tradition zu verbinden, wurde er
selbst vom Erfolg überrascht. In neun
Tagen besuchten über 100.000 Menschen
das „Kleine Oktoberfest Kronstadt“, das in
seiner nunmehr sechsten Auflage zu einem richtig großen Ereignis und zu einem
Touristenmagnet weit über die Grenzen
Kronstadts hinaus geworden ist.

1819, the municipality of Munich got
involved in the organization of the event,
turning it into an annual, instyle celebration. The municipality agreed beer
selling, installed electric lighting for tents
and stands, as the celebration started
to attract more and more exhibitors and
carrousel owners, who kept coming up
until today to entertain the six million
visitors each edition. In 2009, Christian
Macedonschi from Brașov, who had lived
for many years in Bavaria before, initiated
for the first time an event in which the
local willingness to party was combined
with the Bavarian tradition. Finally he was
surprised by the success. During the nine
days the event lasted, 100.000 visitors had
fun in “Brașov’s Little Oktoberfest”. The
event is not “little” anymore, at its sixth
edition, now being able to attract both locals and tourists who have already spread
the word outside Brașov’s borders.

Oktoberfest” is one of the most important
Transylvanian festivals.

bist aber dann nach Rumänien zurückgekehrt. Was hat Kronstadt, das Nürnberg
nicht hat?
Die Berge und diese wunderbare Verbindung verschiedenster Kulturen. Ich liebe
es direkt aus der Altstadt ins Grüne zu gehen. Das ist Lebensqualität, die du sonst
selten findest. Gleichzeitig fasziniert mich
die seit vielen Jahrhunderten in dieser
Stadt tatsächlich gelebte Multikulturalität.
Für mich ist Kronstadt so etwas wie die

local Cristian Macedonschi despre Brașov,
Bavaraia și târgurile de crăciun.
Ai trăit mulți ani în Germania dar acum
ai revenit în România. Ce anume are
Brașovul și nu are Nürnberg?
Munții și acest minunat amestec de culturi dintre cele mai diferite. Iubesc această
posibilitate de a ieși din vechiul centru
direct în natură. Este o calitate a vieții pe
care altundeva o găsești greu. Pe de altă
parte, mă fascinează multiculturalitatea
trăită cu adevărat de multe secole în acest
oraș. Pentru mine Brașovul este un fel de
leagăn al ideii europene moderne.
Ești cunoscut pentru faptul că ești mereu
pe drum. Ce aduc călătoriile tale în
străinătate brașoveanului?
Oriunde aș merge, sunt ambasadorul
orașului meu. Brașovul este pe calea cea
bună iar evoluția orașului în direcția unui
pol de atracție pentru investitorii străini
au contribuit mult ca imaginea României
în lume să se schimbe în bine. Avem însă
nevoie de și mai mulți investitori mari,

pe care ofertanții locali nu trebuie să-i
privească ca pe niște concurenți, ci ca pe
niște parteneri cu care să lucreze de la
egal la egal. Dar nu aduci nici un investitor în Brașov dacă stai doar să trimiți
e-mailuri de aici. Un director economic
care investește milioane, așteaptă ca tu să
vii să-i treci pragul.
Ce anume ar putea învăța orașe ca
Nürnberg, München sau orașul meu natal,
Viena, în opinia ta de la Brașov?
Buna conviețuire. La Brașov, de peste 800
de ani, români, sași, maghiari, arabi și
greci conviețuiesc bine și câștigă unii de
la alții. Și în ceea ce privește politica față
de minorități, Brașovul poate fi un model.
Fiecare grup etnic este reprezentat aici
absolut normal de un partid propriu și
are prin acesta dreptul la codecizie. Și în
interiorul familiei brașovene tradiționale
există o coeziune internă puternică.
Unde mai pot fi văzute în ziua de azi trei
generații în aceeași gospodărie?
Și ce poate învăța Brașovul de la aceste
orașe?

În primul rând, că mobilitatea este vitală
pentru dezvoltarea unui oraș. Noi avem
multe de recuperat în domeniul infrastructurii de transport dar și al apropierii
față de cetățean. Autoritățile trebuie să
învețe și să înțeleagă că sunt niște prestatori de servicii în folosul comunității.
Atunci și cetățenii se vor angaja mai mult
pentru propria urbe.
Oktoberfest-ul tău a ajuns, după numai
șase ani, să fie considerat drept una dintre cele mai mari și importante manifestări
din Transilvania. La ce ne putem aștepta
în viitor de la tine?
Un Târg de Crăciun, pe care îl vom organiza
împreună cu orașul nostru partener Nürnberg. Dacă la Nürnberger se organizează cel
mai vechi Târg de Crăciun, atunci al nostru
să fie cel putin cel mai frumos.

Du hast viele Jahre in Deutschland gelebt,
Du bist dafür bekannt dafür, viel unterwegs zu sein. Was bringen deine
Auslands-Reisen dem DurchschnittsKronstädter?
Wo immer ich hinkomme bin ich Botschafter meine Stadt. Kronstadt ist auf einem
guten Weg und die Entwicklung der Stadt
zu einem Anziehungspunkt für internationale Investoren hat viel dazu beigetragen,
das Bild Rumäniens in Europa zum Guten
hin zu verändern. Aber wir brauchen noch
mehr große Investoren, die lokale Anbieter nicht als Konkurrenz sehen sondern
als gleichwertige Partner und mit ihnen
auf Augenhöhe zusammenarbeiten wollen.
Du bringst aber kein Unternehmen nach
Kronstadt, wenn du von hier aus E-Mails
schickst. Ein Geschäftsführer, der Millionen investiert, erwartet schon, dass du zu
ihm kommst.
Was könnten Städte wie Nürnberg, München oder meine Heimatstadt Wien deiner
Meinung nach von Kronstadt lernen?
Miteinander gut zu leben. In Kronstdt
leben seit über 800 Jahren Rumänen,
Sachsen, Ungarn, Araber und Griechen
zum Vorteil aller zusammen und profitieren von den Fähigkeiten der Anderen.
Auch in Bezug auf die Minderheitenpolitik
kann Kronstadt als Vorbild dienen. Jede
Volksgruppe ist hier ganz selbstverständlich mit einer eigenen Partei und entsprechendem Mitspracherecht vertreten. Auch
in den Familien gibt es bis heute starken
Zusammenhalt. Wo sonst leben heute
noch drei Generationen gemeinsam in
einem Haus?
Und was kann Kronstadt von ihnen lernen?
Zuerst einmal, dass Mobilität für die
Entwicklung einer Stadt lebenswichtig ist.
Wir haben großen Aufholbedarf bei der
Transportinfrastruktur, aber auch bei der
Bürgernähe. Behörden müssen lernen,
sich als Dienstleister zu verstehen. Dann
werden sich auch die Kronstädter mehr
für ihre eigene Stadt einsetzen.
Dein Oktoberfest zählt nach nur sechs
Jahren zu den größten und wichtigsten
Veranstaltungen Siebenbürgens. Was dürfen wir als nächstes von dir erwarten?
Einen Weihnachtsmarkt, den wir gemeinsam mit unserer Partnerstadt Nürnberg
veranstalten. Wenn die Nürnberger schon
den ältesten Weihnachtsmarkt haben,
dann soll unserer zumindest der schönste
sein.

You lived in Germany but for many years but
now you returned to Romania. What does
Brasov have that Nuremberg does not ?
The mountains and this wonderful mix of
different cultures. I love the opportunity
to leave the old town directly into nature.
It is a quality of life hard to find elsewhere. On the other hand , I am really fascinated by the multiculturalism existent in this
city for centuries. For me Brasov is a sort
of cradle of Modern Europe idea.
You are known for your travelling. What
benefits can Brasov citizens gain from
your travels abroad?
Wherever I go, I am an Ambassador of
my city. Brasov is on the tright rack and
it’s recent evolution towards a pole of
attraction for foreign investors contributed to Romania‘s image worlwide to
change for the better. But we need more
big investors, that look at local bidders
as to equal partners. But staying in city
and just by sending e-mails won’t bring
any investors. A financial director who is
willing invest millions, will wait for you to
step it’s doorway.
What could cities such as Nuremberg , Munich or my hometown Vienna learn from
in Brasov ?
Companionship. In Brasov, for over 800
years, Romanian, Germans , Hungarians,
Greeks and Arabs lived together in good
terms and for the common benefit. And in
terms of policy towards minorities, Brasov
can be a model. Absolutely normal, each
ethnic group is represented here by it’s
own party thus each minority group has
the right to co-decision. And the same
strong internal cohesion lies within the
traditional family from Brasov. Where else
can three generations living in the same
household be seen these days?
And what can Brasov learn from them?
Firstly, that mobility is vital for the
development of a city. We have a lot
of catching up to do when it comes to
transport infrastructure and we treat our
citizens. Authorities must learn that they
are service providers . Then the citizens
will concern more for their city.
Your festivel, Oktoberfest, managed in
only six years to be considered as one of
the biggest and most important events
in Transylvania. What can we expect next
from you?
A Christmas Fair, organized together with
our partner city of Nuremberg. If Nürnberg
hosts the oldest Christmas Fair, ours will
be the most beautiful.
CHRISTIAN MACEDONSCHI s-a născut
în Brașov pe 28 martie 1972. A urmat
cursurile liceului Andrei Șaguna și
Dürer Gymnasium din Nürnberg,
studii economice la FAU din Nürnberg şi la Universitatea Transilvania
din Brașov si a absolvit Institutul
Diplomatic Roman. Este Consilier
Local din partea Forumului Democrat
German, președintele Brasov Smart
City și membru al Clubului Economic
German. Este unul dintre inițiatorii
Oktoberfest Brașov.
CHRISTIAN MACEDONSCHI, geboren am 28. März 1972 in Kronstadt,
besuchte das Andrei Saguna- und das
Dürer Gymnasium in Nürnberg und
studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften
in Nürnberg und Kronstadt. Zusätzlich ist er Absolvent der rumänischen
Diplomatenschule. Er ist Stadtrat in
Kronstadt des Deutschen Demokratischen Forum, Präsident der BrasovSmart City, Mitglied des DWK und
einer der Initiatoren des Oktoberfest
Kronstadt.

at Transilvania University in Brasov.
He is City Councillor in Brasov for the

the German Business Club and one of
the initiators of Oktoberfest Brasov.

Ciucas: Istorie și poveste
Geschichte und Geschichten
Chiar dacă pare greu de crezut, povestea de dragoste dintre Brașov și bere
nu a început la Oktoberfest. “Relația”
are o vârstă respectabilă. Încă din 1898,
când concernul Czell și Fiii a achiziționat
fabrica de spirt din Dârste, pe care a
transformat-o în fabrică de bere. A fost o
afacere prosperă. În 1922 erau peste 130
de angajați, producția de bere fiind de
peste 40.000 de hectolitri. În perioada
comunistă, fabrica a fost naționalizată și
a produs berea Aurora, una din cele mai
bune beri românești, pentru care se stătea
la coadă ore întregi în București și pe
litoral. În 2003 concernul SABMiller începe
negocierile cu consorțiul AURORA BRAȘOV,
iar după un an fabrica intră în portofoliul
grupului. Și așa a apărut CIUCAȘ, berea
emblematică a brașovenilor și a Oktoberfest-ului de sub Tâmpa. Știați că a existat
un drum al berii, astăzi dispărut? Profesionist desăvârșit, Friederich Czell a plantat
pe drumul care lega fabrica din Dârste de
Piața Sfatului foarte mulți plopi. Astfel,
berea transportată cu căruțele trase de
cai de tracțiune germani, stătea mereu la
umbră până ajungea în Piața Sfatului la
vânzare. Proaspătă și bună!

und der Firma Ciucaş, die das Bier für
das Oktoberfest braut, hat eine lange
Geschichte. 1898 kaufte die Firma Czell
und Söhne eine Spiritusfabrik in Darste
und baute diese in eine Brauerei um. Das
Geschäft lief hervorragend und 1922 brauten bereits 136 Mitarbeiter über 40.000
Hektoliter Bier. Während der kommunistischen Zeit wurde die Fabrik verstaatlicht
und produzierte „Aurora-Bier“, das damals
zu besten Biere in rumänischen Sorten
gehörte. Selbst in Bukarest und an der
Küste standen die Menschen stundenlang
Schlange um eine Flasche zu kaufen.
2003 schließlich begann der englische
SABMiller Konzern Verhandlungen mit
dem AURORA Konsortium und ein Jahr
später wechselte die Fabrik den Besitzer.
Seit damals gibt es auch mit der Marke
„Ciucas“ ein Bier, das man mit Kronstadt
und dem dortigen Oktoberfest verbindet.
Es gab sogar eine eigene „Bierstraße“.
Friedrich Czell ließ auf dem Weg zwischen
der Brauerei und dem zentralen Marktplatz Pappeln pflanzen. So war das Bier,
während des Transports immer im Schatten bis es an den Ständen verkauft wurde.

EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT seem hard to
believe, the love story between the city
of Brașov and its beer did not start with
Oktoberfest. The “relationship” started in
1898, when the Czell & Sons acquired a
alcohol factory in Dârste, turning it into
a beer factory. The business was prosperous. In 1922 136 employees produced
over 40.000 hectolitres of beer. In the
communist period the factory was nationalized and produced beer “Aurora-Beer”,
one of Romania‘s best beers, for which
people in Bucharest and at the seaside
queued up for hours to get a bottle.
In 2003 SABMiller started negotiations
with the Aurora Brașov Consortium and
a year later the factory became part of
SABMiller. So Ciucaș, Brasov‘s iconic beer
was created. Did you know that there was
a beer road, which now has disappeared?
A true professional and real perfectionist,
Friederich Czell planted numerous poplars
along the road connecting the factory to
Sfatului Square in Brașov. Thus, the beer
transported by carriages with german
horses was protected from the sun until
arrived at Sfatului Square to be sold fresh
and cold.

Aceasta ar fi început în ajunul Crăciunului
anului 1455. Ningea și Vlad Țepes, pe atunci
căpitanul orașului ar fi văzut cum niște
tinere fete se trudeau să ducă provizii în
Bastionul Țesătorilor. De îndată el a sărit în
ajutorul tinerelor domnișoare. Când atunci
privirea i-a căzut pe Katharina Siegel de 17
ani, soarta lui a fost pecetluită.
Dacă se dă crezare acestei istorii, voievodul
ar fi fost de atunci un oaspete frecvent în
casa din strada Porta Schei nr. 14, unde
săsoaica blondă locuia cu tatăl ei. Ar fi
răsfățat-o chiar pe fata cândva săracă cu
tot ce putea, punând să-i fie aduse straie
din mătase și cea mai fină dantelă din
Veneția și Flandra. Când romanța dintre
Dracula și Katharina a devenit cunoscută,
aceasta a provocat nemulțumirea celor
care s-ar fi pus în locul lui Vlad Țepeș.
Asta l-ar fi înfuriat atât de tare pe Dracula încât ar fi speriat tot orașul.Când
în timpul atacului dovedit istoric asupra
Brașovului din 1460 Vladislav al III-lea a
jefuit și incendiat Brașovul Vechi și biserica
din Bartolomeu, tot povestea spune că
soațele unor negustori ar fi pătruns în
casa Katharinei. Ele au bătut-o pe tânără,
i-au tăiat cozile și au legat-o de stâlpul
infamiei din Piața Sfatului. Dracula ar fim
jurat răzbunare cumplită: dacă nu capătă
cel puțin una dintre cozi a amenințat că
va da foc și orașului. În final s-ar fi ajuns
la o înțelegere, Dracula a primit coada
iubitei sale pe care a păstrat-o cu sfințenie
până la moarte. Pentru pretinsa poveste
romanțată nu există nici o dovadă. ”Casa
Tartler” în care povestea spune că ar fi
venit voievodul a fost ridicată la peste
două secole după moartea voievodului. Dar
conform legendei, frumoasa Katharina ar fi
fost singura femeie care ar fi înmuiat inima
împietrită a sângerosului domnitor. Dacă
nici asta nu e iubire adevărată.

Begonnen hat alles am Weihnachtstag
1455 als Vlad Tepes, damals Stadthauptmann von Kronstadt, beobachtete, wie
einige junge Mädchen sich abmühten,
Vorräte auf die Weberbastei zu bringen.
Umgehend eilte er den jungen Damen zu
Hilfe. Als sein Blick auf die junge Katharina
Siegel fiel, war es um ihn geschehen. Von
nun an war der Voivode häufig zu Gast in
der Strada Porta Schei Nr 14, wo die blonde Sächsin mit ihrem Vater wohnte.
Er verwöhnte das einst arme Mädchen
und ließ Kleider aus Seide und feinste
Spitze aus Venedig und Flandern kommen.
Als die Romanze bekannt wurde sorgte
das für Unmut unter jenen, die selbst
gerne an Katharinas Seite gewesen wären.
Vlad reagierte darauf so wütend, dass in
der ganzen Stadt Entsetzen herrschte.
Als während des Überfalles auf Kronstadt
1460 Vladislav III die Altstadt plündern
und abbrennen ließ, sollen die Gattinnen einiger Kaufleute in Katharinas Haus
eingedrungen sein. Sie verprügelten das
Mädchen, schnitten ihr die Zöpfe ab und
banden sie am Marktplatz an den Pranger.
Dracula schwor furchtbare Rache. Sollte er
nicht zumindest einen der Zöpfe bekommen würde er die Stadt niederbrennen
lassen. Am Ende bekam er den Zopf und
bewahrte ihn bis zu seinem Tod wie ein
Heiligtum auf. Beweisen lässt sich die
Romanze nicht. Das „Tartler-Haus“, in dem
der Voivode angeblich ein und aus ging,
wurde nach seinem Tod gebaut. Doch zumindest soll die schöne Katharina die einzige Frau gewesen sein, die das steinerne
Herz des blutrünstigen Fürsten erweicht
hat. Wenn das nicht wahre Liebe ist.
ACCORDING TO AN OLD story, Vlad
Dracula, known for his cruel impalings
had a gentle heart. And a love affair for
many years.
It started on the Christmas Eve in 1455
when Vlad, then captain of the city guards,
saw some young girls toiling to bring
supplies to Weavers Bastion. Instantly he
jumped to help the young ladies. When his
eye fell on 17 years old Katharina Siegel,
his fate was sealed. He was in love. Since
then the Voivode became a frequent guest
to the house on Poarta Schei no. 14, where
the blonde Saxon girl lived with her father.
He spoiled the once poor girl with all that
he could, ordering garments made of silk
and of the finest lace from Venice and
Flanders. When their romance became
known, it displeased the pretenders to the
girl’s hand. This made Dracula so furious
that it scared the entire city. The story
goes that the wives of some local merchants broke into Katharina’s house during the historically documented attack of
Brasov in 1460 when Vladislav III robbed
and burned Old Brasov and Bartholomew
church. They beat the young woman, cut
off her hair tails and tied her on the pillar
of infamy in the Council Square. Dracula
would have sworn a dire revenge: if he
would’t receive at least one of her hair
tails he threatened to burn down the city.
Finally Dracula got his girlfriend tail and
kept it scrupulously untill his death.
There are not many historical records for
this romantic story. But according to the
legend Katharina was the only woman
who softened the stone hearted bloody
ruler. If that is not true love.
