Für ein Verbot hochgefährlicher Pestizide
Jahrzehnte an Erfahrungen haben gezeigt, dass eine sichere Anwendung hochgefährlicher Pestizide trotz vieler Programme zur „sicheren“ Anwendung nicht möglich ist. Noch immer erleiden
Menschen, Nutztiere, wild lebende Tiere und die Natur erhebliche Schäden durch hochgefährliche Pestizide. Nach Dekaden des Versagens, während derer sich weltweit Millionen von Todesfällen ereigneten, ist eine neue Politik notwendig, um Pestizidvergiftungen zu stoppen. Die
schrittweise Beendigung der Nutzung und das Verbot hochgefährlicher Pestizide sowie eine
neue Politik zur Förderung von Alternativen können den Wandel hin zu einer gesunden und
nachhaltigen Welt für alle vorantreiben.
Wir, die unterzeichnenden Organisationen, rufen Regierungen und die Privatwirtschaft auf, konkrete Schritte für ein schrittweises Verbot hochgefährlicher Pestizide und deren Substitution
durch ökosystem-basierte Alternativen einzuleiten.

zur Reduktion von Pestizidrisiken auch ein schrittweises Verbot hochgefährlicher Pestizide in Betracht zu ziehen. PAN

Allerdings identifizierte PAN einige gravierende Schwächen
der Kriterienliste (sie enthielt z.B. keine die Umwelt betreffenden Kriterien) und entschied, eine PAN-Liste hochgefährlicher
Pestizide zu erstellen. Diese „PAN International List of Highly


Hazardous Pesticides“ wurde durch PAN Germany für PAN
International entwickelt, erstmalig 2009 veröffentlicht, mehrmalig aktualisiert und nach fünf Jahren ihrer Existenz durch
eine PAN International-Arbeitsgruppe grundlegend überarbeitet. Die jüngste Version ist jene vom Juni 2014 (Link siehe
unten). Diese PAN-Liste hochgefährlicher Pestizide kann von
allen Personen, Institutionen, Organisationen und Firmen
genutzt werden, um hochgefährliche Pestizide zu erkennen
und Maßnahmen zur Reduktion ihres Einsatzes zu ergreifen.
