Since 1984, the clockmakers design and produce
bespoke grandfather clocks, table clocks, regulators, and unique in the world organ clocks.
The strength of the traditional clockmaking
workshop is to focus particular attention upon
uncompromising quality and precision in
extremely high manufacturing depth as well as
realizing new ideas.

Noch vor 100-150 Jahren gab es viele Uhrmacher,
die sich der Fertigung von Wohnraumuhren
verschrieben hatten. Heute jedoch sind dieses
traditionelle Handwerk und die Kunst der
feinsten Uhrmacherei fast ausgestorben. Doch es
gibt sie noch – die kleinen Manufakturen, die
in mühevoller Handarbeit sowie in unzähligen
Einzelschritten außergewöhnliche und individuelle Wohnraumuhren bauen.
Starting with the design and construction of
the gold or rhodium-plated movements, the
design of the cabinet and ending with the design
and manufacture of dials and hands – almost
all parts of the clocks from Matthias Naeschke
are made in the horological workshop. Even
the smallest wheels and pinions are manufactured in-house, hardened, polished and
perfected until they meet the highest standards
of the executing clockmakers.
Eine von ihnen ist die Manufaktur Matthias
Naeschke im süddeutschen Städtchen Haigerloch. Seit 1984 entstehen in dem kleinen, aber
feinen Atelier hochwertigste Standuhren, Tischuhren, Regulatoren und weltweit einmalig auch
Flötenuhren. Die Stärke des traditionsreichen
Betriebes ist die handwerkliche Präzision der
Fertigung, die extrem hohe Fertigungstiefe sowie
die Verwirklichung von neuen Gedanken in der
klassischen Uhrmacherei.
Beginnend bei der Konstruktion und dem Bau
der vergoldeten oder rhodinierten Werke, über
das Design der Gehäuse, bis hin zu der Gestaltung und Fertigung von Zifferblättern sowie
Zeigern entstehen nahezu alle Uhrenbestandteile in der Uhrmacherei. Selbst die kleinsten
Räder und Triebe werden im Hause produziert,
gehärtet, poliert und so lange perfektioniert, bis
sie den höchsten Ansprüchen der Haigerlocher
Uhrmacher entsprechen.
Uhr hinaus gehen. Wohnraumuhren aus der
Manufaktur Matthias Naeschke sind für Liebhaber gemacht, die die stete Bewegung des Pendels
nicht missen möchten sowie die Schönheit und
Präzision des Uhrwerks, eingebaut in ein edles,

Even 100-150 years ago there were many clockmakers, who had joined the production of fine
handmade clocks. Today, however, this traditional craft and the art of fine clockmaking are
almost extinct. But there still are the manufacturers who build in laborious hand work, and
in countless individual steps exclusive and
personalized clocks for well furnished living
spaces – unique for eternity. One of them is the
German clock manufactory Matthias Naeschke.
Each clock made by Matthias Naeschke is a real
unique masterpiece – built in traditional craftsmanship and to last for generations.

Im Stil feinster, klassischer Uhrmacherei entwirft die Manufaktur Matthias Naeschke
Flötenuhren. Es werden niemals Nachbauten
oder Kopien gefertigt. Das erklärte Ziel besteht
darin, die Tradition der besten Flötenuhrmacher fortzusetzen.
In fine style of classical clockmaking Matthias
Naeschke develops and manufactures mechanical organ clocks. There will never be produced reproductions or copies of old ones. The stated goal
is to continue the old tradition of the best organ
clockmakers.
In der Haigerlocher Werkstatt entstehen SeilzugUhren sowie Federzug-Uhren. Alle entscheidenden Arbeiten werden wie vor über zweihundert
Jahren sorgfältig manuell ausgeführt. Ein umfangreiches Werkzeugsortiment wurde hierfür
selbst entwickelt. Die äußerst soliden Laufwerke sowie die Uhrwerke sind handwerklich feinst
vollendet. Der Anspruch besteht darin, verwendete Einzelteile und Materialien als schmückendes Teil des Ganzen zu sehen und zu gestalten.
The range of products includes spring driven
movements as well as weight driven ones. All
major work is carried out as two hundred years
ago carefully by hand. As there were no tools to
buy the clockmakers developed their own set
of various tools for the organ clockmaking. The
extremely solid clockworks and the movements
are finely finished. The claim is to look at any
detail and the used materials of the movements
as being part of a decorative aesthetic unity.
