a real upsurg e in popularity. W hilst until very recently the majority of sprays w ere either deodorants
or hair care products there is now a w hole rang e of
personal care preparations in a spray format that are
carving out a strong position for themselves in the
mark et. L ook at sun care, for ex ample! F or decades
manufacturers ex perimented w ith sun protection
sprays w ithout achieving a real b reak throug h. W hen
this application form w as, so to speak , relaunched a
few years ag o it seems that the mark et w as ready for
such a development. S ince then sun protection and
after-sun sprays have b uilt up a healthy 2 3 percent
share of the mark et and are in numb er 2 position b ehind sun protection lotions and after-sun lotions,
