Mile
The approximately 7 mile hiking trail begins at AU’s
Bromeley-Daggett Equestrian Center and winds across
university owned property including horse trails and hay
fields. Hikers will then traverse a newly established and
permanent trail linking the equestrian center to Foster
Lake; the hike will circle most of the lake and eventually
head down Sprague Road to a combination of private and
state owned land. Here the temporary trail takes on a
number of rugged ascents and descents through rarely
traveled woods and creekbeds. Eventually hikers will link
up with the Phillips Creek State Forest trail system and
finish at Pollywogg Holler.
