At our Meet & Greet event you will be introduced to your future professors. They will
explain the basic features of your degree
programme and answer your questions
concerning its start and progression.

Intro Day
Our Freshtival 2015 kicks off with an introductory event - the Intro Day in Kamp-Lintfort. All Freshers starting in Kamp-Lintfort in
winter semester 2015/16 are invited to join
us for an exciting day that begins with an official opening ceremony including speeches by representatives and partners of RhineWaal University.
Afterwards, you will have the chance to
meet your tutors at lunch. During Freshtival
time they are going to provide you with all
the information you need to successfully
start your studies in Kamp-Lintfort.
Wir starten das Freshtival 2015 mit einer
zentralen Einführungsveranstaltung – dem
Intro Day in Kamp-Lintfort. Alle Erstsemester, die im Wintersemester 2015/16 ihr
Studium an der Hochschule Rhein-Waal in
Kamp-Lintfort beginnen, sind dazu herzlich
eingeladen. Der Tag beginnt mit einer offiziellen Begrüßung durch wichtige Vertreter
der Hochschule und Partner.
Im Anschluss erwarten Euch die Tutorinnen
und Tutoren beim Lunch. Im Laufe des traditionellen Freshtivals bekommt Ihr von ihnen
alle wichtigen Informationen für Euren Studienstart in Kamp-Lintfort.
Beim Meet & Greet lernt Ihr die ersten Professoren aus Eurem Studiengang kennen.
Sie stellen Euch die Grundzüge des Studiums vor und beantworten Eure Fragen zum
Studienstart und Studienverlauf.

City Rally
During our must-see city rally, you will have
to solve a campus murder mystery this year.
Find all the clues and be the first to solve the
case!
Bei der obligatorischen City Rally löst ihr in
diesem Jahr erstmalig einen Kriminalfall.
Sammelt wichtige Hinweise zum Mord an
der Hochschule und löst den Fall als erstes!

Pub Crawl
Our Pub Crawl will introduce you to the
vibrant nightlife of Kamp-Lintfort. The five
venues we are going to take you to offer
everything your heart desires: cocktails,
hookahs and “PomDöner”! Finally we will
while away the evening in a location called
ka-LIBER.
Beim Pub Crawl ziehen wir mit euch zu den
Party-Hotspots von Kamp-Lintfort. Die fünf
Locations bieten über Cocktails, Shishas
und PomDöner alles was das Herz begehrt!
Anschließend lassen wir den Abend alle gemeinsam im ka-LIBER ausklingen.

Barbecue
There’s nothing like a shared BBQ. This year
it will be country style! We will provide you
with sausages and turkey steaks (of course
our vegetarians will be looked after, too ♥),
delicious salads, corn on the cob and drinks.
There will be live acts, good music, horseshoes-throwing and this year brand new:
bullriding!

are your admission tickets! All students in
higher semesters are also welcome guests!

Freshtival Market
The heart of our Freshtival is the Freshtival
Market. In a relaxing atmosphere you can
find out about all the different services at
Rhine-Waal and its partners.
Scholarships, student loans, housing or university sports - no matter what questions
you’ve got on your mind - here you’ll get
competent advice!
Das Herzstück des Freshtivals bildet der
Freshtival Market. In ungezwungener Atmosphäre könnt ihr mit Kooperationspartnern der Hochschule und wichtigen Anlaufstellen in Kontakt treten und euch beim
Schlendern über den Campus über Serviceleistungen der Hochschule informieren.
Stipendien, BAföG, Wohnungsmarkt oder
Hochschulsport – egal welche Fragen ihr
noch auf dem Herzen habt – hier werdet ihr
kompetent beraten!

Es geht doch nichts über ein gemeinsames
Grillen. Dieses Jahr voll und ganz im Country Style! Wir versorgen Euch mit Würstchen
und Putensteaks (natürlich gibt es auch etwas für unsere Veggies ♥), leckeren Salaten,
Maiskolben und Getränken. Dabei wird es
nicht bleiben, es gibt Live-Acts, gute Musik,
Hufeisenwerfen und dieses Jahr ganz neu:

Each year, people in India welcome spring
in a very special way: “Holi” is the festival of
colours and one of the most important celebrations of the country. Not only the change
from winter to spring is celebrated, but according to Hindu belief also the victory of
good over evil.
People throw paint and colour their skin
with a special powder - the Gulal. On the
24th of September we will continue this tradition and dance in an explosion of colours.
Admission is free and you will get two free
bags of coloured powder.
Ultimate Challenge
The Ultimate Challenge will test your limits!
In our “Minute to Win It” games your team
will challenge fellow students in various disciplines.
Sometimes it will take skill and concentration, sometimes a steady hand or a good
deal of courage.
Beim Ultimate Challenge gehst Du an Deine
Grenzen! Im Stil des „Schlag den Raab“ oder
„die perfekte Minute“ trittst Du im Team gegen Deine Kommilitonen in verschiedenen
Disziplinen an.
Mal braucht es Geschicklichkeit und Konzentration, mal ruhige Finger oder eine ordentliche Portion Mut.

Jedes Jahr begrüßen die Menschen in Indien den Frühling auf ganz besondere Art
und Weise: „Holi“ ist das Fest der Farben
und eines der wichtigsten Feierlichkeiten
des Landes. Dabei feiern sie nicht nur den
Wechsel von Winter zu Frühling, sondern
nach hinduistischem Glauben auch den
Sieg des Guten über das Böse – und zwar
sehr farbenfroh.
Denn die Menschen bewerfen und bemalen
sich an diesem Tag mit buntem, gefärbtem
Puder – dem Gulal. Am 24.09.2015 werden
wir diese Tradition fortführen und beim KaliColour im Farbenrausch tanzen und feiern.
Der Eintritt ist frei und ihr erhaltet 2 Farbbeutel gratis.

„Silent Party“ ist die Bezeichnung für eine
Disco, bei der Menschen zu Musik tanzen,
die sie über kabellose Kopfhörer hören. Drei
verschiedenen DJs wetteifern um die Zuhörer, die sich durch Einstellungen an ihren
drahtlosen Kopfhörern entscheiden können, welches Lied sie hören.

Wo kann man besser Leute kennen näher
lernen als beim Sport? Am letzten Tag der
Freshtival Week haben wir einen Tag voller Sport für euch geplant. Freuen könnt
ihr euch unteranderem auf Streethockey,
Basketball, Fußball, Riesen-Jenga, Wikinger
Schach und vieles mehr. Für Verpflegung ist
natürlich auch gesorgt, wir werden den Grill
anschmeißen und Getränke bereitstellen.
Bleibt nur auf gutes Wetter zu hoffen.
Introday
Is there a better option to get to know
people than in Sports? The last day of this
years Freshtival Week is therefore reserved
for some nice activities and sport events.
You can be looking forward to Street Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, Mega-Jenga, Viking
Chess and much, much more... Of course we
have organized a BBQ for you and drinks will
also be available for free. So let’s just hope
for some nice weather.
